[21:03] * [GM]Ludwig sits at a long table in a large room at the center of the Fortress: the war room.
[21:03] * [PB]Teilya pulls out a satellite controller and stares into the screen.
[21:03] * [gtz]Mary removes her large headphones
[21:03] * [GM]Ludwig presses a button at his side.
[21:03] <[gtz]Mary> I don't hear them on sonar either, sir
[21:03] <[GM]Ludwig> Thank you, Cerise. Over and out.
[21:03] * [PB]Teilya then pulls out a radio.
[21:04] <[PB]Teilya> Reporting! Bugs are all gathering to the west nya~!
[21:04] <[GM]Ludwig> To the west? Hmm.

[21:04] * [PB]Teilya pulls out another device and reads the figures.
[21:05] <[PB]Teilya> Ah...100 miles away~

[21:08] <[PYG]Cerise> "I don't think we can relax just yet, Master."
[21:08] <[GM]Ludwig> I hope you're right, Mary.
[21:09] * [gtz]Mary continues to focus on her braille bible

[21:09] * [GM]Ludwig presses the intercom button again.
[21:09] * [PB]Teilya pulls out a controller with a big red button and presses it.

[21:10] <[GM]Ludwig> It's all right, Cerise. I took their flight into consideration when... uh... hang on a second.

[21:15] * [PYG]Cerise keeping an eye on the distant insect cloud watches as it starts to grow much larger.
[21:15] * [PYG]Cerise quickly attempts communication to the War Room again.

[21:16] <[PYG]Cerise> "Master! They definitely know we're here now! They're moving faster!"

[21:26] * [GM]Ludwig raises his hands, and images appear in the air around him, showing various parts of the fortress and the wasteland outside.

[21:27] * [GM]Ludwig opens his eyes and looks over the images, ignoring Alexis' flirtations for the moment.
[21:28] <[GM]Ludwig> The villagers are responding quite well... they've really take those drills to heart.
[21:28] * [PB]Teilya push her glasses back into place and begins to play with a ball of wool.
[21:28] <[PYG]Cerise> "Oh, Mary! There you are!" She says, barely able to hold back a smile at the sight of the girl.
[21:28] <[Nom]Alexis> "It's what they look forward to every day. Oh ho ho!"
[21:29] <[GM]Ludwig> Now, we wait...
[21:29] * [gtz]Mary reaches out her hand
[21:30] * [Nom]Alexis takes out her knitting
[21:30] * [PYG]Cerise takes Mary's hand, while trying to stay calm.
[21:30] * [GM]Ludwig closes his eyes again, mentally checking over the defensive spells around the perimeter.

[21:31] * [gtz]Mary smiles, allows Cerise to lead her
[21:32] * [PYG]Cerise leads Mary to the western wall of the fortress.
[21:32] <[PYG]Cerise> We're here.

[21:33] <[PYG]Cerise> A cloud of flying insects.
[21:33] <[PYG]Cerise> They're spread out now.

[21:35] * [PYG]Cerise lets go of Mary's hand to prepare setting up her rifle, but not before taking a quick whiff of the palm that was in Mary's hand just now. Cerise exhales with a dumb grin on her face before snapping out of her daze.

[21:40] * [PB]Teilya looks up to Ludwig, then back to the ball, then up again, then back. She then starts tearing up, but wipes them away.
[21:41] * [PYG]Cerise mounts her high caliber DSR-1 on the wall while pounding in a magazine. She flips off the caps on the scope and takes aim.
[21:41] <[PB]Teilya> Okay master...
[21:41] <[gtz]Mary> "When the Lord your God brings you into the land you are entering to possess and drives out before you many nations . . . then you must destroy them totally. Make no treaty with them, and show them no mercy!

[21:41] <[GM]Tetro> The sky above begins rumbling ominously...
[21:41] * [Nom]Alexis flinches
[21:44] * [gtz]Mary slowly rises up, and faces the heavens
[21:45] * [PYG]Cerise eyes her targets and pulls the trigger. The rifle unleashes a round into the warm piercing through a few of the flying insects, pieces of their exoskeletons and fluids exploding in the air, disrupting the flight path of a few more giant bugs.
[21:45] <[GM]Tetro> The clouds melt away as a single, giant bolt of lightning burns through and speeds towards the ground. It doesn't quite hit, however, splitting in mid-air into a multitude of smaller forks, each one striking down a single insect.
[21:45] * [PB]Teilya flinches and hides behind her master when the spell is casting, then takes a glance at her screen when it ends.
[21:45] * [Nom]Alexis visibly cringes, but continues knitting
[21:46] * [gtz]Mary closes her eyes and silently embraces the Lord's judgement
[21:46] <[GM]Tetro> All this happens in a single instant, followed by a deafening *KABOOM!*

[22:14] * [gtz]Mary bows her head, and recites a quiet prayer before drinking

[22:15] * [Nom]Alexis serves tea while chuckling to herself
[22:15] * [PB]Teilya jumps onto an empty seat and wiggles her tail and ears, waiting patiently for the tea.
[22:16] * [PYG]Cerise takes her own seat not far from Mary, setting her rifle by her legs. She pretends to scratch her nose as she inhales the scent of Mary's hands on her palms.
[22:16] * [GM]Ludwig leans over and takes a biscuit, dipping it in his teacup before taking a bite.

[22:17] * [PB]Teilya quickly snatches a biscuit and starts munching it.
[22:17] * [GM]Ludwig starts to say something, but pauses. He looks around the room at everyone enjoying the tea and closes his mouth again.
[22:17] <[Nom]Alexis> "Is it good master? I made it with the SCREAMING SOULS OF THE DAMNE--I mean, love."
[22:17] <[GM]Ludwig> Hmm? Oh, yes. Thank you, Alexis.

[22:18] * [GM]Ludwig finishes off his biscuit and sips the tea slowly.
