Dee's Admittance into a Shelter

[14:32] Dee clasped her hands in front of her; her head bobbing politely as she answered. "Yes, I mailed an application for housing here not long ago." A hand rose to her chest, "My names Dee Angelos." That same hand then waved to August. "He's here to intimidate would be highwaymen." She then paused that hand raising up, index finger pointing to the sky.

"Oh! I crossed your path back near the boar fields."

[14:35] "I see! I remember you, that was earlier today."

Lucas nodded, beckoning the girl inside. "Come in, come in. I did actually read your application, now that you mention it. You're interested in Cosmic Magic and gardening, right? I'm fond of gardening myself."

The golden-haired man gestured to the house around them. "This common area will be for all the children here. You're the second. Alice, a young Teraphim girl, is also living here. I think you'll find her pleasant company. If you'll come with me I can get your room set up."

[14:42] Dee's head bobbed as the questions rolled, yes he was correct! She was also interested in proper preparation. That's why she sent the application before hand. Smirking proudly at her own internal pat on the back for a few moments before she blinked. Oh right, respond Dee.

"I've a... Basic understanding of Cosmic magic. Learned a little from my father and my younger brother." Blinking for a moment she continued. "My father passed away a few years ago. I don't think I mentioned that in the letter." Rather than going into details she smoothly shifted onto the next topic.

"Yes, I want to try and grow things. I've learned that I've a penchant for Horticulture. Beneficial in my pursuit of Alchemy. I would also like to advance my understanding of proper medicine. Herbal remedies only go so far." She paused for a moment and glanced back to August. She could tell from his expression that he enjoyed the place. Then she shifted back to Lucas.

"A Teraphim? Interesting, is she mentally stable?" After her time in the Academy she'd learned to try and figure the answer to that little question sooner rather than later.

[14:48] "Uh, she's a bit anxious." Lucas admitted, as he reached up to run a hand through his golden hair. "I'm teaching her to be a little more open and outgoing. She survived an attack on her village so she's shy about making friends she might lose."

"I think you'll like her though. The meditation I taught her has really helped her find confidence, and she's learning Holy Magic so she can protect people she cherishes."

Always the optimist, Lucas shifted to another topic. "If you'd like, I can get you a key to the garden supplies. Normally I'd leave that with Zhrani, but she's been taking a break from school due to love matters."

[14:54] Dee's expression probably betrayed her thoughts. 'Anxiety ridden survivor of a slaughter.' If that didn't sound like someone who'd be unhinged and riddled with trauma she didn't know what did. Still, it was a small price to pay for the opportunities presented and she was getting therapy. More than most of the Academies students.

She didn't mention anything else involving the girl. Instead perking up when the conversation rolled onto the garden. Now she'd have two places to grow her crops one at the Gardening club at school and one here. "That sounds splendid to me. I don't know who Zhrani is but I hope they figure out their love life."

Taking a break from school seemed extreme over something like love but some people loved really hard. "Is there anything you need of me though?"

[14:57] "Well, if you want to use the farm you can come with me and I'll get you set up. Otherwise, feel free to decorate the dorm you want and come find us when you're around if you'd like some tutoring."

Lucas offered the girl a smile and gestured towards the other rooms. Then he made another vague gesture towards the outside. "My wife Chaska is a Cosmic Mage, so she can help you with your magic. I'm mainly concerned with Holy Magic and Pyromancy."

[15:01] The girl gave a quick nod of her head at the offer to get set up now. "Best to get everything situated sooner rather than later." She cast a glance to the right as she spoke. She could re-arrange the room later. Probably while she had August to do all the heavy lifting!

Cerulean hues flicked back to Lucas. "Chaska, alright, I'll talk to her about Cosmic magic. Hopefully she can enlighten me a little bit." There was a brief pause as if she was about to say something more. Though, clearly she decided against it. "I'll follow you to the Garden."
