Background: Jessica Minhye Park was born on September 7, 1999 to a Korean-Canadian father (Matthew Woohyun Park) and an Italian-Canadian mother (Adriana Tedesco). She was an only child until she was 9, when her younger sister Julianne Minha Park (who she became very protective of) was born. Jessica was always lost in her own world since a young age. Whenever she had nothing to do, she would sit in her room alone and imagine new worlds, ideas, concepts, and stories. She was a bright and gifted person. However, because she was so often lost in her own world, her peers and even some teachers thought she was dumb. She was bullied a lot, and she was mostly lonely for a long time. She would often cope by writing poems and stories letting out her feelings, and listening to music. When she was 11 years old, she spent time with her older cousin Jackie, who was a rapper. Jackie told Jessica all about how she used rapping to express herself, and Jessica became inspired. She started by turning some of her poems into raps, and soon began writing raps. Jessica first publicly tested her newfound skill at a city talent show when she was 12, where she performed a rap about her experiences with bullying and how she had a big imagination. She ended up winning one of the grand prizes. This really silenced the bullies, and Jessica became a legend in school, but tried not to let it get to her (with the help of her family to keep her grounded). One friend said that Jessica should consider becoming a Kpop idol, and Jessica thought about it. After learning about it, she thought she might like to become an idol. About two years later, her dreams came true when a casting agent for her company saw her rap at another city talent show, and offered her a private audition with the company to become a trainee. After discussing with her parents, they agreed to let her attend the audition. The company was impressed with her, and she was accepted into the company. She soon packed her bags for Korea, with her family visiting whenever they could and calling her regularly.

Have they ever met before?: Yes, they met in school (they attend the same school, SOPA). They first met in class when they had to work on a group project. The rest of their teammates for the project weren't doing any work, and the two of them had to do the project without them. Mark and Jessica bonded well together, and were able to get a high score on the assignment. They kept in touch after the project ended, and stayed good friends, although they weren't able to see each other much since they had different friend groups, and because of Mark's schedule.

First impression of her: Mark thought she was so interesting and loved her creativity and caring personality. He thought she was one of the nicest people he had ever met, and felt that they could get along well with each other. He sometimes feels shy around her, thinking she's too good for him.
