  1. Lucky Number Nine
  2. “What do you mean, Quirkless?”
  3.
  4. Midoriya Inko was confused, to start. She had taken her son to Dr. Tsubasa to determine just what his quirk was as well as register it, not to see what it was in the first place. This was doubly so for one Midoriya Izuku.
  5.
  6. “Mom says my quirk makes me lucky, what do you mean?” Izuku questions the doctor. He couldn’t just have no quirk, all of his friends already knew for a fact what theirs were, he just came so he could tell the others what he could do.
  7.
  8. “I’m sorry kid, it’s just not gonna happen. Mrs. Midoriya, if you would look at this X-Ray, you can see that your son’s pinkie toe has two joints. Long ago, we discovered a link between the joint in this toe and quirks. The fact that it is still present shows that your son has no quirk.”
  9.
  10. Now Inko was VERY confused. How else would you explain the fact that her son could do all the stuff he could do, from winning All Might merchandise in giveaways, to even those claw games she could swear were rigged. Hell, even her son had been banned from games online because they thought he was cheating! “My son has a luck quirk. I know they exist, which is why I thought this was the only way he was able to do the things he does.”
  11.
  12. Doctor Tsubasa had seen some stuff in his life as a quirk specialist. He had seen a girl who could turn her skin inside out, a young boy who could read minds given that he was kissing them, and many other children with wild quirks. Someone who appeared to have a quirk despite being quirkless? Now that was intriguing.
  13.
  14. “Can you prove these allegations, Ma’am?” Dr. Tsubasa questioned. If he could prove this, his… Boss might be very interested.
  15.
  16. “I can!” Izuku shouted, relieved to finally be able to contribute to this discussion.
  17. After a moment, he pulls out some dice from his pocket. His father had loved old tabletop games, due to his near dragon like quirk. The dice and games were some of the very few pieces of his home that he could use to relate to his father.
  18.
  19. “Watch!” he said, rolling the dice.
  20.
  21. Both landed on 20.
