GAMING THEME POKEMON TOURNEY!

~GAMING THEME TOURNEY PROPOSAL~

-Welcome to the Gaming Themed Pokemon Tournament, in this Tourney you'll be representing one game or franchise for your team as you choose various mons as your game's characters. Think of it as a celebration of gaming of sorts.


~Registration Rules will proceed as follow:
1. Participant that wishes to enter will select a the game they wish to represent. They will then choose Pokemon and all pokemon must represent characters from their respective game. All teams must be preregistered and approved by me or any helper assigned with the  tourney beforehand. You may register up to 6-10 mons with a max of 4 legendaries allowed.

2. Game picks are first come first serve. Once a a title has been picked by someone it can no longer be picked by someone else. So pick one you're sure you want to represent the most.


~Game Validation Rules: These Rules are to ensure there are enough game titles to go around and avoid to many duplicates.
1. Game Series that have multiple entries with new casts ie: Persona, Final Fantasy, etc. A max of 3 can be chosen.

2. Crossovers are not allowed. This includes out of series Easter Egg Characters(Bonus characters in games not from their original series).

3. Sequels that don't have a new cast will be apart of the series altogether. In some cases in a series there may be a one off sequel ie: FE 11 and FE 12. In cases like that they would be considered as one whole complete game.

4. Your game must have DEFINING CHARACTERS IN ORDER TO QUALIFY. Characteristics, Traits, A Story, etc. At least some of these elements must be present towards your character. (If it's a bad game well, you just to point out their flaws ; p)

5. Game choices cannot originate from mobile apps or phones. Ie: Angry Birds, Plants vs. Zombies etc.

6. Your game cannot be based off an anime, TV-Show, Movie, etc... The game must have originated as itself in the series. If further complications occur when choosing please seek me or a helper.

7. You will not be allowed to use Pokemon as your game, you're using the game in the first place!

8. Remakes are not considered as a new game.

9. Given the circumstance, spin offs will be considered either separate or part of the series or refected based on the game and info given. Ex: Super MArio Legend of the Seven Stars will be apart of the Super MArio series.

10. Game series with odd universes where each new game in the series has reoccurring cast members but they're not technically the same person from last game IE: Legend of Zelda series in a nutshell. It will follow rule number 1 though things will be much stricter your mon must incorporate aspects from one game alone.

11. Regarding the Mario Games and Universe they will be split into three categories: The Platformers, The Paper Series and the RPGs(Including LOTSS).
As well Donkey Kong Country shall be counted seperately not being apart of Mario.

Battle Rules:

1. Rules follow the standard updated SL OU Rules format. Blaze Blaziken only, Z-move ban list, no baton passing, etc. Although Protean Greninja with move tutors is officially legal and species clause may not apply depending on the Game you've chosen.

2. You and your opponent may organize a time stamp on when to battle if you stay in contact with one another and inform me or a helper when you will be battling. Though if no word is said within 48 hours of the round starting, a DQ will be issued to either or both battlers.

3. You must inform during registration if you're using a mega evolution pokemon you must state rather or not if it's a mega or not. You cannot swap in-between the two once it's established.

4. Top 8 Battles must be recorded for the purposed of streaming, if no battle is recorded the battle will be voided and not count.

5. A title match for determining 3 place will be issued and shown, it also must be recorded to count. (Bronze matters to you know)

6. There's a loser's bracket in place.
