Want to go fishing?

Alexithymiaa: -Brad was sitting at the mixing board with one of the studio musicians in the booth playing guitar. He had his headphones wrapped around his head so he could hear as he recorded and adjusted the levels, trying to get the tracking down for later use in mixing.-
Covet: Kelsey was sitting with Connor on the couch, helping him out with his homework, double checking his answers and all that.
Alexithymiaa: -When the guitarist finished his section of song, Brad hit the stop button to end the recording and then stuck his thumb up into the air to signal to him that he was good. "Take a break, I'm going to see how this sounds after I mix it." He said dropping his head back down to the board to adjust the sliders. // Reggie set his guitar down on one of the stands in the booth and tossed his long dreadlocks over his shoulder, heading out of the booth. "I'm going to run and grab some food. Anyone want anything?"-
Covet: Kelsy looked up at the guy that Brad was recording and shook her head, "No thank you, But I appreciate the offer." She said. // Connor piped up real quick, being a growing boy child of course he was hungry, "Chicken nuggets!"
Alexithymiaa: "Can you actually get me a diet soda?" He asked as he turned to him, sending him a smile. He waited until Reggie walked off before spinning in his chair to face the two. "How's the homework going?" // "Nuggets and a soda. You got it." He said before taking off to walk down the road to the cafe.-
Covet: "Connor..." Kelsey said to her son, because she wasn't intending for him to get anything but it was too late now. "It's going good. He's a pretty smart kid over here." // "Yeah Dad, I haven't gotten any wrong yet." He said, then called out to Reggie, "Thank you Mister!"
Alexithymiaa: "Oh yeah?" He asked with a raise of his brows, but he kind of already knew that. "I bet you're smarter than me, you're so smart."-
Covet: Kelsey smiled and looked over at Connor. // Connor rolled his eyes, "No sir, Dad. You're in college, I'm in kindergarten."
Alexithymiaa: "Yeah, but look how well you're doing. I dont do that well on MY homework. I always get at least one wrong." He said as he nodded. "You have a better average than me."-
Covet: Kelsey laughed. // "Yeah but my homework is way easier than yours. You can't get this wrong. You're probably almost as smart as Momma." Connor said.
Alexithymiaa: "I highly doubt that." He said with a smirk, trying to give Kelsey some props on that one because that was definitely not true. "Ask me one of your questions, we'll see."-
Covet: "Yeah, we both know who that title belongs to." Kelsey said with a smirk. // Connor looked at his paper, "Okay, five plus two." He asked him.
Alexithymiaa: "I know my weaknesses." He said with a sigh, putting his hands up into the air to dramatically count on them. "Let's see... if you have fine..." He said, holding up one hand. "And you add... one... two..." He stuck up one finger at a time on his other hand. "You get seven."-
Covet: Kelsey gave him an over enthusiastic clap. "Good Job, Hun." She said with a smirk. // Connor nodded, "Yep see I told you."
Alexithymiaa: "But that doesnt mean I'm smarter. It just means I have ten fingers to count on. Anything over ten and I'm toast." He said with a grin, pulling his headphones off to set down on the mixer and standing up to walk over to join them on the couch.-
Covet: "You poor thing." Kelsey said mocking him a second time. // Connor nodded, "Yeah we haven't gone above adding numbers that are more than ten yet."
Alexithymiaa: -He narrowed his eyes at Kelsey, giving her a playful shove before looking down at Connor. "See, then we're the same amount of smart because I can't do it either."-
Covet: She laughed as he gave her a shove and she leaned over to give him a kiss on the cheek. // "Wow, than I must be really smart, because you're a grown up."
Alexithymiaa: "I know, that's what we've been trying to tell you. Right Momma?" He asked Kelsey for reenforcement to try to build Connor up a bit more.-
Covet: "Mhhm. But it's nothing that you didn't already know, huh kiddo?" She said, giving him a hug. // Connor looked at them both. "Thanks, but you can stop now. I know I'm smart, I get told everyday."
Alexithymiaa: "Woahhh okay. He was just trying to be humble, I get it." He paused, eyeing Kelsey. "I think he learned that from you. He definitely didn't learn that from me."-
Covet: "The words, are true I tell him everyday, but that cockiness.. that's definitely all you, hun." Kelsey said with a laugh.
Alexithymiaa: -He dropped his hand onto Connor's head, rustling his hair. "I think it's safe to say you're a fair mix of both of us, huh buddy?" He asked even though he really looked nothing like Brad, alll the mannerisms.-
Covet: "Momma's brains and Dad's attitude?" She asked Connor. " // "Yeah, I've got Dad's game." He said with a nod.
Alexithymiaa: -He nearly choked, coughing and covering his mouth with his hand as he tried to hide the wide grin spreading across his face. "Yeah.... my game..." He said through essentially tears in his eyes.-
Covet: "Your game?" Kelsey asked as she looked at Brad, who was practically dying. She laughed. // "Yeah, Dad's game. With the ladies, like you Momma." He said not sure why it was so funny.
Alexithymiaa: -He wiped at the corners of his eyes, still laughing because Connor not stopping and actually elaborating just made it even better. "He likes my game." He repeated confidently, putting his arm around Connor's shoulders.-
Covet: "I'm not leaving you two alone for that long ever again." she said with a chuckle, hugging her son close. "Dad.. has... some game. But I wouldn't say it's the best." she said. // "Nah, he got you so his game has to be good." Connor said arguing.
Alexithymiaa: "At least he knows where his alliances are." He said to her, trying to find that silverlining for her. "If anything you should take it as a compliment. He's complimenting everyone."-
Covet: "He's a sweet kid, so he'll get away with for now." Kelsey said with a laugh. "But I think my game might be better than yours as well as my brains." She said a little smugly.
Alexithymiaa: "Is it though? Because you got me. How good could your game be if you got me?" He smirked, battling back his laughter.-
Covet: "You say that like I can't get more than just you." Kelsey said raising her eyebrows. "You know you're not the only one who likes these legs right." She said directing her eyes to her legs. // "Momma, Dad's great, why would you need more?" He asked confused.
Alexithymiaa: -He moved his hands to cover Connor's ears, speaking in a whisper. "I'm the only one entitled to them whenever I want. And I think we need to go fishing soon." He said before letting go of the poor kid's head.-
Covet: "Fishing...." She said then it clicked, "OH! Fishing. Right! We can probably figure out something I'm sure." She said with a smile. // Connor looked between them as his ears were covered but he couldn't hear anything.
Alexithymiaa: "Love fishing." He said with a grin, giving a little shake of his head. // Reggie walked back into the studio with a McDonald's bag in his hand and a cup in the other, holding them out toward Brad. "Nuggets and a diet soda."-
Covet: Kelsey rolled her eyes and shook her head, laughing. "I don't know how I feel about it being called that. How much do I owe you, Reggie?" // Connor looked up at the guy who brought him some nuggets, "Coold dude! Thank you!"
Alexithymiaa: -He stood up to take the bag and the cup from him, passing the bag off to Connor so he could dig in. "Thanks dude. Are you ready to get back to it? We have a handful of stock riffs to record still." He said, waving Kelsey off and pulling out his wallet to hand Reggie a few bills. // Reggie took the bills from Brad, shoving them into his pocket. "Yeah, let's do it." He said, heading off into the booth.-
Covet: "I'm going to get Connor back home, so that I can get him down for bed once he's done with his nuggets." She said getting up while Connor got his things together, walking over to give him a kiss. "I'll see you when you get finished here."
Alexithymiaa: "Alright, we shouldn't be too much longer here." He said, leaning in to her kiss before heading to the mixer to take a seat, pulling his headphones on. He signaled for Reggie to start playing the next section, hitting record.-
Covet: Kelsey walked out with Connor already digging into his nuggets, and got them home so that they could do the bed and sleep things.
