  1. >”…you actually got my curiosity there” Cherrywood asked
  2. “Okay… I realized that nothing good comes from lying. No matter how advantageous it might seem as first, honesty is something thaI and everyone else should always practice… even if it hurts those who you love the most, because lies will always come and bite you in the flank, and that will only make you end up in a much worse situation than what initially was. I know that it sounds cheesy but for me, this was an important moment of- WHOAH!”
  3. >Your cutie mark started to shine with an almost blinding orange light that enveloped you for a couple minutes before being shot into the ceiling, disappearing completely.
  4. “Now what in Equestria was that?”
  5. >”I dunno” Cherrywood shrugged and giggled “But it was awesome!”
  6. >”Mhm!” The little Luna flew to where you were and landed by Cherrywood’s right side “I have to admit, that was something that you do not see every day… or maybe these kind of events are actually a common thing in our daily lives, it is hard to tell with the memory loss”
  7. >You slowly shook your head as you tried to control the internal panic that was starting to overwhelm you.
  8. “Maybe… but why did it happen? Honestly, the fact that my cutie mark did that weird laser show, is giving me the creeps”
  9. “I do not believe that you should feel that way, Mr. Goggles Colt.” The little Luna gave you a reassuring smile “We may not know why it happened, but I feel like this is something to feel proud of…” Then she shot a glare at her sister “Unlike the actions caused by the knucklehead of my sister”
  10. >”Will you stop with that, please?! I can’t believe that everypony thinks I’m dumb just because of a slip-up!” The little Celestia crossed her hooves and puffed her cheeks “I ain’t a perfect pony princess, you know? I can make mistakes too”
  11. >”Well, you just did a bunch of dumb things on top of acting like the biggest jerk in the world” Cherrywood shrugged
  12.
  13. >”Oh, yeah?! Well, you…you” The little Celestia dropped her head and sniffled “You’re right… I am a dumb pony… I-I don’t know why I thought otherwise”
  14. >The little Luna let out a small giggle and flew to where her sister was, then she gave her a hug “Oh, Celie! You ARE intelligent and I am sure that you are fully aware of that. We all have our moments of… how do I put it? Mmm! I know! We all have moments where we can be mentally slow and yes, you did some pretty nasty things, but I am sure that both Cherrywood and Mr. Goggles Colt have already forgiven you”
  15. >”A-Are you sure about that, Luna?” The little Celestia asked timidly
  16. >”Mhm!” The little Luna nodded and then pointed at you and Cherrywood “Just ask them!”
  17. >Feeling a bit more confident thanks to the situation being a lot calmer and way more manageable. You arrogantly shrugged
  18. “Sure, it’s not like I can stay mad at you, besides it is my work to forgive those who realize their mistakes, y’know, I’m a prince and all that… but hey, Luna, why are you still calling me “Mr. Goggles Colt”?
  19. >”Because I like that name” The little Luna shrugged “And because despite me acknowledging the truth, it is still weird to refer somepony of my age as my son”
  20. “Yeah… in retrospective, I can see why it would come off as weird… Anyways, Miss Celestia, you don’t need to be so worried. We have already forgiven you for what happened, right Cherrywood?”
  21. >”Weeeeell, I dunno…” Cherrywood tapped her chin “You did use those chaos powers to- AGH!”
  22. >You interrupted your bat by not so softly poking her on her belly with your hoof.
  23. >Cherrywood, of course, turned to you and angrily whispered “What the hay was that for?! That weirdo did something to me and Luna for no reason! And just look at her! You would need to be an extra dummy to not see that she still has serious issues!”
  24.
  25. >You whispered back into her ear
  26. “As if you were the example of perfection, or do I need to remind you all of those times that I had to get you out of trouble because you couldn’t control your anger issues?”
  27. >”That’s because they were being a bunch of dumb jerks!” Cherrywood huffed
  28. “Oh, yeah? Then how do you explain that time when you almost set the entire lab on fire because you went crazy with the blow torch? Was the lab equipment being jerks to you too? Because I can talk to them if you want.”
  29. >Your bat looked nervously at every direction “…That didn’t happen”
  30. >You rolled your eyes and let out a groan
  31. “Just accept the apology already or I’m gonna tell them about that time when you got me extra homework for three weeks because you decided to hiss at my entire class like a mad mare”
  32. >”Ugh…” Cherrywood sighed in defeat “Fiiiine…” she then looked at the two sisters, took a deep breath and finally spoke with a frustrated tone “Luna’s right, I already forgave you, we’re cool and blah, blah, blah…” Your bat looked with enthusiasm at the little Luna, jumped in her place and happily said: “Hey Luna, now that apologies are out of the way, do you wanna play with my masks again?”
  33. >”Mhm!” The little Luna nodded “I would like that very much!”
  34. >”Yaaay!” Cherrywood raised her front hooves in the air and extended her wings “Time to-“
  35. >But you quickly held her back, there was something left to do
  36. “Not so fast”
  37. >”Aw, come on!” Your bat yelled in frustration “I already accepted the apology, the world is normal again, why can’t I play with Luna yet?!”
  38.
  39. “Because…”
  40. >You pulled Cherrywood closer to you and looked directly into her eyes while giving her a scary grin
  41. “Those two “criminals” that you and Luna scared to death were actually trying to revert my moms back into their original forms, and from what I understand, you and Luna had a field day at their expense. So now you are going to find them, give an apology to those two and bring them back here, alright?”
  42. >”B-But Starlight-“
  43. “Was pardoned after the crazy events of the past two days, and yes, I’m gonna tell you everything even if your mom and my moms think that is better to keep it as a secret and you know why?”
  44. >”Because…uhh” Cherrywood tapped her chin “We’re gonna do some whacky research later?”
  45. “Well… I was gonna say because I love you but… yeah, that is actually right, I have a couple of experiments in mind that involve infusing the crystals with… err…”
  46. >You shook your head
  47. “I’m getting derailed, eh… could you do me that favor, please?”
  48. >”Alright…” Cherrywood nodded and then turned to the little Luna “You heard the weird colt, let’s go, Luna”
  49. >And with that, the two fillies left the room, leaving you and the little Celestia alone.
  50. >”I really messed up, huh?” The little Celestia finally said after a few moments of silence.
  51. >You took a deep breath, your nervousness coming back in full force
  52. “Miss Celestia, I think that the worse thing I could do know is to tell you another lie and say that everything was fine and dandy. I mean, being dishonest is what kind of caused all of this mess to begin with, sooo… yeah, what you did was bad, very bad… horribly bad… as in the end of the world bad. That said, we’re still here, right? The day was saved, so there’s no need to continue worrying about what ifs… especially when these kinds of situations are part of the job.”
  53.
  54. >”Well, if everything’s okay like you say” The little Celestia looked at you with disbelief “Then why do you look so freaked out, my prince?
  55. “Well…”
  56. >You had lots of mixed feelings about this, yeah the whole thing about realizing honesty was cool and all but… there were some other things that bothered you on a very deep level
  57. >You rubbed the back of your head and gave the little Celestia a weak smile
  58. “Listen, please do not take this in a wrong way, but…”
  59. >You sighed
  60. “If it’s not too much to ask, I would like to tell you everything after you go back to your normal form. These are the kind of things where I need the never ending wisdom of my thousand-year-old mom”
  61. >”I see…” The little Celestia shrugged “Well, guess that’s another reason to go back to being an adult… but like, seriously, g-going back a bit to what you said before… after everything I’ve done, ” she sighed
  62. >”I dunno… maybe my adult self can see this as normal, but I just can’t… the things I did and the stuff I thought really scare me, especially because I realized something else…” The little Celestia dropped her head
  63. >”I like to say that I’m brave and bold, and Luna is always saying how I’m supposed to be kind and caring, but the truth is…” The little Celestia sniffled, a couple tears were forming in the corner of her eyes “That I’m we and dumb and I only think about myself…I wonder how I managed to become the perfect princess that Starswirl wanted me to be.”
  64. >Oh man, even after all that she did, looking at your mom in this state broke your heart and caused you to feel a tremendous guilt and regret.
  65. >But… you think that you may have the answer for that question.
  66. “If I have to be honest, you never did. There’s no such thing as a perfect princess, you can only pretend to be one and in reality, that’s what you do every single day when you have to deal with your subjects, but the truth is, perfection does not exist and that is something that you taught me very well..”
  67.
  68. >”Oh…” The little Celestia dropped her ears in disappointment
  69. “Aww… don’t be like that! Absolute perfection does not exist, but you know what? I like it more that way. You and Luna have a lot of flaws, way less than me of course, but my point is… those flaws you just mentioned? Your adult self is even more arrogant and smug than me, but I love you because that smug mare and self-centered mare is the real you and trust me, I wouldn’t change you for the world and you can bet anything that the same goes for Luna.”
  70. >The little Celestia closed her eyes, sighed and then let out a small giggle “Your special somepony was right, you’re super weird”
  71. “What do you want me to say? That’s a family thing”
  72. >The little Celestia laughed for a bit before sighing “Well… I guess that now all is left is to wait for my sis and your marefriend to come back… and for Discord to give me back my magic.”
  73. “So you finally gave up on chaos, huh?”
  74. >”Yeah… not gonna lie it was fun for a while, but honestly? All this chaos is starting to feel a bit icky.” She made a disgusted face “I want to go back to normal, like, right now”
  75. >Immediately after she said those words, your necklace started to shine with a golden light that flowed into the little Celestia. At the same time, as the little filly’s factions returned to normal, the weird pulsating chaos energy emanated out of her and disappeared into the ground.
  76. >Luckily, the little Celestia didn’t faint this time. But nonetheless, she looked somewhat disappointed “You know… for all that fuzz about chaos being spectacular and stuff, that was… very anticlimactic.”
  77. >”Oh, the youth of today, they are unable to appreciate the simple things in life. One can’t simply please them unless I throw a parade for them” That voice… that smug voice
  78. >”Nah!” The little Celestia waved her hoof “That sounds too cliché and boring… a couple of small explosions would have been fine though”
  79.
  80. >”Hmmm?” With a little flash, Discord appeared in between the little Celestia and you, resting on a stripped sofa. “Now what do we have here? I would have sworn that I cast one of my patented time freezing spells, oh well…” Discord shrugged “Nothing that a little snap of my beautiful talons can’t fix!”
  81. >Discord snapped his talons but… the little Celestia was still moving normally. The filly giggled and gave him a little smirk “I think those talons of yours are what need a fix”
  82. “I agree with her, come on Discord, I thought that you were supposed to be THE spirit of chaos. So what’s up with this bootleg chaos magic that you are doing?”
  83. >”Hush. These talons of mine have been pulling top quality chaos since before you two were born. So stay still while I make you stand still" Discord poofed away the sofa, did a couple stretches by contorting his body in all kind of bizarre ways, and snapped his talons with enough force to shake the room.
  84. >Again, nothing happened, the little Celestia was moving normally. She looked at you with a playful smile on her face “Maybe Discord is tired? I mean, he gave me his magic and all that”
  85. “Nah, I think it’s more of a case of him getting old. Seriously, Discord, you may want to marry Fluttershy before you become senile.”
  86. >”Oh, dear. Why I didn’t see this one coming?” Discord dropped his arms and looked into the distance with an empty stare “Celestia is now immune to my magic… I can already hear her laughing at me”
  87. >”That’s because I’m laughing at you!” The little Celestia replied in between her giggling
  88. >You let out a little chuckle and shrugged
  89. “Well, Discord, my friend, you have no one else to blame for this, it was your fault that Miss Celestia got chaos powers in the first place”
  90. > “My fault? But my little prince, how can you say such awful things when it was your lies that caused everything to spiral out of control”
