Agenda for today's OOC Meeting (l Agenda)(#19619)

1. The Pit's resonance is Apathy. Would we like to change that? What are some other options for Shattered Souls and what would be changing the Resonance entail RP-wise?

2. Set clear guidelines about who is allowed in the Pit and post these guidelines to the wiki so that everyone is on the same page thematically. I.e. Fera, Kinfolk Mages, etc.

3. Do we want an NPC Warder? What will that NPC cover and can that possibly be a PC?

4. Other Business, no one has given any other business but after the main points are spoken about we'll open the floor to misc concerns.

Russ says, "I am fine with whatever, I am still looking for a lighter. I think the SO took mine this morning, I'm gonna rage later if that's the case."

Eris says, “So Russ is getting his lighter so I'll be heading off for us.
Agenda is pretty simple and on the object here. First things first - The Pit. We'd like to make a couple of changes. We've queried some of the older players as well as IC Pit leadership, that being actively at the moment me and Russ. WE've come to an agreement that Apathy, as a legacy, was an understandable medium when we had sabbat blowing up Elysiums and Whitehats regularly running ambitious black hats down to slaughter. That is o longer an issue on this mush and Apathy, let's face it, doesn't give anyone who acts within theme much reason to do anything at all.


With that is the possible change in totem. Most of us agree Whipporwhil does not need to be changed, just the 'Resonance'. But that is up for discussion too.”


Trent says, "whippoorwill is paranoia, yeah?"


Pax says, "Whippoorwill is the general BSD signature Totem."


Russ comes back from the garage with a grill lighter and sits down happily.

Russ says, “Yes, to Pax.”

Eris says, “ADDEN: Azzy isn't here but his vote was for keeping whippoorwill but changing out the flavor. Thus far Greed or Consumption have been put into the bucket.”

Russ says, "I do too."


Eris says, "Sorry I'm reading a fairly long job to make sure no one's looked over"


Trent says, "Same."


Pax says, "Greed and Consumption are good Urges, too."


Raquel is a Bygone and thus tries to stay out of BSD themes.

Eris says, “Also there's no need for OOC”


Trent says, "But she likes birbs, so I'm biased."

Eris says, "We're going to open the Pit up to more, so we'd like you to at least feel free to say how YOu feel it would be."


Russ says, "Yes, Wyrm Bygones will be allowed at the Pit moving forward. Pending the conversations that happen tonight."


Pax says, "Consumption might be more fitting, considering the location of the Pit, but I'm also biased."


Russ says, "I want more unity for us all though."


Eris nods.


Eris says, "COnsumption is a bit more encompassing and can include
 Trent says, "Also, in case I need to go, point 3: we -have- an NPC Warder, but he didn't get added to the wiki for some reason. I think because of length."


Russ says, "My personal opinion is pretty much anything but Apathy, I hate playing lethargy and indifference. Consumption is good."


Eris nods to Trent.

Eris says, "So, the majority agree COnsumption would be the best fit and keeping the Totem as the laughing bird?"

Russ says, "Consumption at least begs for more, Apathy doesn't care."

Helle throws out that she's willing to apprentice ST, but "I have never been much for game mechanics. I know that's lame because it's work. I'm just...so far out of my element there, and so ignorant about how any of this works, even if I was familiar with wyrm theme


Raquel says, "I'm no good for running plots."

Eris says, "If you have an idea Trent or Azzy wants to snag it I wouldn't mind. XD I try to put out plot on a semi-regular schedule so..help is lovely."

Pax needs to continue the Pentex plot, though RL has been pressing more lately.

Eris makes a note to ask Azzy what he'd like to do. SO we have contingency plans but an open floor for STing the IC changeover. But the changeover is agreed on?

Pax says, "Well the pit currently states allies of the Wyrm roam around the non-Pit areas."


Russ says, "Who is Allowed at the Pit. I know what theme dictates and what is generally the accepted methods for a Pit but here we are taking the time to gather as players and decide what makes the most fun for RP and theme. Last year I had a player who wanted to start as a Cub and it ended up messing her RP/fall/corruption up because once she entered the Pit, she wasn't allowed to leave IC. This is a little silly when we as players know her OOC goal is to join the Pit.

Russ nods to Pax. Last time though I ended up with a 4 week back and forth with staff.

Trent says, "Good with no-Bsd's on the bawn. Do not want Hatar/Plague Lords, though."

Pax doesn't generally go there due to Mage + Pentex = Nervous af.


Russ says, "Exactly, I was simplifying the language for those who don't speak Fera."


Trent says, "No, Plague Lords don't fall. They pretend to be Wyrm, but they get cleansed every month and return to Gaia."


Pax says, "But yea, the Heart could definitely be BSDs, and potentially fallen Fera."

Trent says, "How would that be ICly differentiated?"

 Russ nods. That's why the staff got involved last time.

 Trent says, "I would prefer that. I don't see what their fun has to be in the Pit before the fall when there are a bunch of other hangouts."

 Eris says, "It also protects players who may not necessarily want to go
that deep into their characters brains ;)"


 Trent sorries for being anal about that point, when he's chill with most other visitors.

 Russ nods. That's what this meeting is for, I am super flexible about most of this, I just want it set in stone so that it's fair and easy to follow.

make sure that's included :)"

 Eris says, "Anyway - if anyone Does have a problem or questions don't be afraid to speak up. Primarily we just want the sphere to feel a little more open and balanced. And if it takes NPC leadership to do because one of us isnt a good fit (it happens) then let us know :)"
