- Linguicia, Beans, and Rice

- Ingredients:
- 16oz package of linguica
- 1lb ground beef
- 3 tbsp minced garlic
- 1 tsp granulated onion
- 1 tsp red pepper flakes
- 2 6 oz cans of tomato paste
- 20 oz of water
- 1.5tsp of Italian seasoning
- 2 tbsp oregano
- 1 tsp red Savina habanero flakes(optional)
- 1 15oz can of black beans(change this or omit)
- 1 15oz can of kidney beans(change this or omit)
- Rice or pasta to serve this over
- Directions:
- Cut chourico in half lengthwise. Then slice. Brown on medium low heat, you dont want it to transition from browned to the blackening common with chorico. I also recommend doing it with the lid on as much as possible. Once done, turn heat to low, then add garlic, onion powder, pepper flakes and saute as the heat comes down, about 3 mins.
- Now add the tomato paste, water, Italian seasoning, oregano, bring to a low boil. Drain your beans then add them and simmer for 20 minutes.
- Prepare your rice or pasta per the package instructions, keeping warm till ready to serve. Serve sauce over rice or pasta.
