  1. A land covered in massive deposits of quartz and mercury. Its consorts moles with an odd appetite for quartz drilling deeply into the planet desperate for the next haul so they can feed their families for another several months. Then it happens an earthquake that shakes the very planet to its core a cataclysm in the truest sense of the word rending the world to it's very foundations. Thousands die in the blink of an eye and even worse the mercury once kept at bay by dams built up all over the land breaks free seeping into the ground and poisoning the quartz. Above it all the souls of the dead moles begin to form something new, something dangerous. A creature beyond the imagination of even the most deranged madman, a snakelike river wrapping it's coils around the planet as if to claim it. Once it had the planet surrounded, something new began to form at one end a face, a horrifying visage of pain and anguish eternally locked in a scream. That is all the moles can stand to see before fleeing deep into their mines, intending to stay underground forever. This however proves to be far from a solution in fact it merely becomes a new problem, the mercury is now mixed into the quartz deposits. The mining teams find themselves getting poisoned by simply touching the quartz yes they have to and even thought they attempt to clean it the best they can their families their families are getting sick too. But then something new happens a house appears, they rejoice for the prophesied one has arrived. The Sylph enters unprepared and is quickly poisoned by the now highly volatile lands. As she struggles to fight back the imps and the ogres, now empowered by the Knight's prototyping, the moles hurriedly tunnel towards her. They would reach her of course, but only just in time picking up her unconscious form and running back into the tunnel system with her. Along the way the first inkling of her power would appear her own body being healed from the poison creeping through her veins. When she awoke she would be greeted with open arms and smiling faces as the moles immediately pulled her into a celebration of her arrival, confused as she was she simply decided to go along with it until the elder showed up. He took her to the side and explained what she must do, explained how she must recover the repair robots designed to fix the dams when they where damage and how she must defeat Styx to free their land from his terrible curse. She would be puzzled of course as to what exactly Styx was, so he told what he knew he told her about Styx being a monster created out of the souls of dead moles by the Black King to destroy this land and kill her. He warned her about how powerful the being was how he would be a threat to even a god tier thief of hearts. And then with this information fresh in her mind he handed her a map of the land and a new weapon, a pickaxe designed to go through even the solid mercury covering most of the topside of the land and sent her on her way. She would succeed in her quest, although she would not god tier but that is part of another story.
