how would lrh fix scientology

if LRH were still alive i wonder what he'd do to try and fix the conundrum scientology finds itself in nowadays, with the general public knowing embarrassing aspects of the confidential OT levels.

i guess this is my question for #sptv.  i certainly wouldn't want to give capt davy of the fake space navy any good ideas though

the question is interesting bc LRH is in a position (as "source") to significantly change the religion while dave has to do it by hook and crook.

if LRH turned the religion away from aliens to spirits it would be at least less embarrassing.  but the position on psychiatry and psychology is still absolutely wackadoodle and built way-in before the confidential levels.

it's so fundamentally sci-fi that it's not easily changeable in a way that doesn't invalidate previous OTs.  there are planets, space ships, and galactic confederacies and they don't translate well to spirits haha.

maybe LRH would just invalidate it, rewrite and then try to keep it more secret.  he can always say "the psychs" planted it but that makes him look like he took an L, and that can't be.

the cultists believe anything LRH says, so there's that (e.g. the ones that don't aren't cultists anymore, the winnowing effect)  it hardly matters how ludicrous the explanation is, and it doesn't have to be consistent with prior explanations.

the problem with making it ludicrous is that's why scientology is where it is today -- public acknowledgment of the ridiculousness of evil alien psychiatrists exploding souls in a volcano

but there will be no secrets, anything he changes the confidential levels to will be learned by the general public again because people leave the religion.

i have no doubt david miscavige has thought about this problem for a long time.  he's probably found it to be intractable though, settling instead for buying property and milking the whales for donations.

LRH needs the promise of OT abilities to keep people trying to go up the bridge to total freedom.  so you can't just get rid of them.  he's promising superpowers.

in the end, LRH would do what a sci-fi writer does and he would "scientificiate." he would invoke quantum ideas, or the multiverse or extra dimensions etc until the xenu story was less embarrassing to modern readers.

right now scientologists go over their "whole track" (their time in past lives,)  it's a no brainer to change it to the multiverse, and contact your theta/soul in all the other multiverses and get their whole tracks too, whoops i guess i just wrote OT 12 or w/e.  the threat of multiversal body thetans.
