- ¸„.-•~¹°”ˆ˜¨ Origins ¨˜ˆ”°¹~•-.„¸
- An origin, according to TYPEMOON, is the starting point that defines one's existence and directs one's actions throughout life. It is the driving force from the inside of the Root that managed to stream out of the Source and take material form. The form it can take at times is that of a human being, and all humans match their actions to be in harmony with the driving force that originated them from the moment they enter into the world. These actions are more along the lines of an inherent compulsion that could be called a person's instinct rather than a conscious decision. If a person becomes awakened to their Origin, it becomes nearly impossible to stray from their Origin if it's even possible in the first place.
- Under the system of Magecraft, Origins are used to describe precise details about a magus, while Elemental Affinity indicates one’s general alignment. Magi with an Origin that is strongly expressed outwardly are sometimes removed from the normal alignments and there are times that the origin itself becomes the alignment. Most of those magi exhibit their talents as extreme specialists, allowing them to potentially reach higher grounds than normal magi. Even those without an Elemental Affinity are sometimes still capable of casting spells simply by following their Origin. It's possible for them to overcome great obstacles such as a lack of Circuits or a lack of talent for Magecraft altogether.
- •´¯`•. Purification .•´¯`•
- What does an origin of purificatin entail? Well, as the wiki states, an origin is essentially the starting point that defines one's existence. It dictates their pathway in life, and is as instinctual to them as breathing. Purification, simply put, is the process of removing contaminants from something. It separates two substances, making them both 'pure' in the sense they are wholly themselves, and nothing more. They are continuously one identity throughout, and do not vary in their composition. Very often, this is thought of in a scientific denotation, in which one goes about chemically extracting one component from another by dissolving bonds thoroughly.
- This is the same spiritually.
- The spiritual self had its own kind of chemistry, run through the soul. Of course, magi were different in so much they were born with circuitry, a type of spiritual nervous system, that acted as a conduit for their mana. Some humans were capable of accessing latent ability, or tapping into the mystic realm of inborn talent and a skill of being beyond the norm. Either way, the mana with which provides them these capabilities is a pure, etheral energy. It flows through the system like blood - everywhere there is a magical circuit, it routes itself through.
- Purification of the spiritual chemistry takes spiritual energy to do, much like a chemical reaction is needed to purify a substance. A knowledge of the human condition isn't REQUIRED for purification to be one's origin, but one may find theirself driven to understand it. For Kosmina to purify, first she must understand the concept of 'purity' of the soul, and be able to identify fallacy and contaminants that may stain it. She must be able to "see" it, and to do this, her eyes take on a 'silvery' appearance. Known as 'pure eyes,' this trait is quite typically inherited; it allows a person to see what cannot normally be seen. The Eltnam line is not known for this trait, nor is the line of her father (an irrelevant name of a lesser known family).
- It is solely the basis of her origin that has adapted her eyes to shift to a silver hue from their natural, violet. This permits her to "see" when another has become corrupt, or "evil." To see where it exists first is essential, before one can provide the means to remove it. The purification process is much like the chemical one - it's a reaction of undiluted, spiritual energy into the blighted mixture that forcefully severs the root of the malignant substance from the soul. It kills those bonds, and burns away the corrupt fragments. In order to do this, there must be physical contact between Kosmina and her target.
- And to fuel her, she must regularly pray and stay strong in her faith. She must walk a pathway of light, and fend off darkness. Evil is repulsed by her purity. When she encounters a soul that is so engulfed by evil that there remains no hint of goodness, the substance is considered pure. However, should any of that corruptness taint her, it would lead to self-destruction, an internal suicide at the source of her being.

- Alchemy is the manipulation of the flow of matter. This deals with its creation, and use, as well as the conversion of. Kosmina focuses primarily on the manipulation of water, as well as the conversion of malicious spiritual energy into moisture. The law of the conservation of energy states that energy in an isolated system cannot be created nor destroyed, but remains constant in another form.
- ╰☆☆ Spells ☆☆╮
- ミストレイヴン - Raven of Mist [D]
- Her familiars are composed of water moisture, drawn from the air, or the skin, or even from blood, itself (the human body being 65% water). While she does see through them, they are quite easily disbanded. They do not attack, they are observational only.
