-Dawon and Dionysus have met in person before, he had disguised himself as a fellow student and they both had a brief conversation.  he has also appeared to her in dreams.  he seems to care for her a lot and acts like a father she needs to her.  her step-father is not the kindest so having a kind and understanding godly parent is a relief on her behalf
-her mother does not know about the encounters between her daughter and Dionysus and so therefore is clueless about her knowing she is a demi-god.  her mother and her father don't bring up the topic, they want dawon to believe she is just a normal mortal.
» | background: dawon was born into a regular middle class family.  she had an older sister that was born with her non-biological father and mother before she was.  for all dawon knew, her non-biological father was her real father.  she had no clue about her demi-god blood.  of course she would always get suspicious of things.  she knew she didn't fit in but never really took too much thought to it.  her sister treated her well, but her father treated her like dirt.  he and her mother had always gotten into arguments over thee silliest things and he became abusive towards her.  dawon was still very young at this point, only 7, but she didn't understand that the whole reason her parents were in this major fight was because of her.  her father was angry at her mother for having an affair with a god and did everything in his power to make her and her mother's life miserable.  he sent dawon to a boarding school where he made sure that she could stay out of contact with her sister and mother.  within the boarding school dawon took music classes: music theory, percussion and more.  she found her love with the drums and quickly became a proficient.  she practiced every single day and soon became the drummer in a band she had formed with some music classmates.  she wasn't very popular among her day to day classmates but when it came to music, almost every single student knew her for her exceptional drumming skills.  after she graduated high school she got into a phase where she became reckless.  she did underage drinking, created fake ids to get into bars and even got drunk to the point where she had one night stands.  she wasn't the best at this time, which is why it was at this time Dionysus finally appeared to her. he told her of her demigod blood and how one night her mother had a reckless night, similar to what she was having right now, and had a one night stand with him.  dawon finally understood why she felt so different from the others.  Dionysus suggested that because of her looks and skills she should audition for the entertainment world.  at first she didn't think about being an idol, so instead she auditioned for a role in a kdrama.  she auditioned as the character baek in ha in "cheese in the trap" and got the role.  from then on she signed with an idol label, jyp.  jyp noticed her acting skills and before debuting her made her audition for the kdrama "descendanats of the sun" she got the roles of myung joo.  she has never held a lead role, only second leads but her acting has built a reputation for herself.  right when the first episode of "descendants  of the sun" aired, jyp debuted NoVa.  from then dawon has stopped her reckless clubbing habits and became more composed.  however, that doesn't stop her drinking habits and pissy behavior.  her members just accept the fact that NoVa wouldn't be NoVa without the "bad unnie".

» | personality: dawon is a very blunt person.  from the start she's always been honest.  her honesty has gotten her into a lot of trouble.  she never knows when to keep her mouth shut and sometimes spills too much of the truth instead of lightly brushing over it.  she hates when people sugar coat things, she'd rather be told something as is and to her face.  she's also very loud.  she doesn't really care what people think of her so her being loud isn't a problem to her, but for others it;s just plain embarrassing.  she's very clear with her opinions, stating them very loud like she is.  she's very opinionated and only accepts her opinions.  she doesn't like seeing the other side of something and is always convinced that her way is the right way.  since she is also older than the leader of NoVa she doesn't like being bossed around by someone that's younger.  she's stubborn as hell and once she's made up her mind about something it's gonna take dionysus to get her to change her mind.  she's very much mind over matter, pushing her physical limits multiple times: for example, testing how much alcohol she can drink in a night or how many men she can seduce.  she's a horrible influence on her younger members and the oldest member is always keeping an eye on her.  she's not very trustworthy when it comes to new people.  since her backstory with her abusive father she doesn't like people touching her.  the only person she's opened up to is the oldest member, son of tyche.  he keeps an eye on her making sure she doesn't do anything TOO stupid to destroy the band's reputation but also knows that he can't stop her.  dawon likes to think very selfishly.  only caring about her because why would she care about anyone else? she has her own problems and she doesn't have time to being helping others.  her problems may include hiding from the cops due to her breaking into bars and clubs and running away from people she's sassed while drunk.  the youngest members don't know what's happening with dawon when she's always showing up to practice and such late.  but the oldest member and the leader both know what's up.  they are constantly lecturing her about her bad habits an how she needs to break them somehow before the group's reputation is hurt but she doesn't listen.  she does things her own way and how she likes to do it.  it isn't until she enters sacrificial lamb that she realizes she needs to open up her heart more.  she realizes that she actually likes the members and doesn't hate them.  especially the eldest.   she thinks that if she's gonna die on this show that she doesn't wanna go to hell for living a bad life.  at first in the beginning of the games she runs away from her team, her band, her group.  she thinks that she can stay alive on her own and if they're tagging behind it will only get them all killed.  after all, she's still thinking all about her.  but later on in the games she realizes all her mistakes and goes back to nova to help them win.  she grows a closer bond with the son of tyche and they take turns protecting each other.  she learns from her mistakes.  she always regrets her bad choices when she's looked back on them with hind-site but that didn't ever stop her until sacrificial lamb.  she doesn't cry, but she does for the first time on sacrificial lamb.  the show sacrificial lamb is the show where she finally discovers her real and vulnerable self and finally asks for forgiveness.  she realizes what it's like to have people that care, she had always thought people had hated her because of her blunt and selfish personality but in reality they all pitied her and tried their best to show her she was loved by NoVa.  she finally realizes how lucky she was.  even if she dies in sacrificial lamb, she knows her heart has been forgiven and that she can die happily.

- Dawon knew that being as close as she was to her father that if she was ever placed on the show sacrificial lamb, he would try her hardest to protect her from death.  She also auditioned because why the heck not?  She knew that she could go nowhere else with her drumming skills if she didn’t audition to pursue the idol life.  She also did it as a new adventure, she was pretty ticked at how her life was going so she wanted to try something she wouldn’t regret.

-dawon probably wouldn’t think too much of it, after all this is a survival show for a reason so why would she care if someone’s being stupid, it’s only benefitting her and her group.  She’s only close to her group members to so she wouldn’t feel bad about killing someone from another group.

-if Dawon had to watch someone from another group die her personality wouldn’t falter, however if it was someone from her one group that she watched die she would be really enraged and would kill the member’s killer.  After that she would probably cry for a little before recomposing herself and trying to “avenge” her member’s death

-Dawon would be down for sabotaging if it meant she and her group stayed alive longer.  She  might sabotage her alliance group by killing them all of at once.  (you can maybe have this character sabotage another one of my characters if this one gets accepted)
