  1. Did you know that Bert Karlsson acted in two popular series?

  3. It's quite hard to believe that Bert Willis Karlsson, or as well also know him Skara Bert, actually had roles in TV series, right? Well, it's true, and for those of you who know Bert Karlsson you will understand why this is somewhat strange. First of all, Bert Karlsson was born on June 21, 1945, in Götlunda Assembly in Tidian. Today he is known as the Swedish contractor, publisher, record company director host, but previously he was also a politician.
  4. The reason why this can strike you as strange is because of the relationship public figures and TV series have; you can say they are not known to get along. The reason behind that is simple, TV series display fictional stories where characters usually make fun of real-life situations and sometimes even public figures. So, knowing that a former politician actually had a role in not one, but two series, is quite intriguing. The first series that you can see Bert Karlsson in is called Cleo, which is a Swedish TV series, that falls under the drama/comedy genre.
  5. It has three seasons with 9 episodes each, and it is still unfinished. However, seeing that the series first aired in 2002, there is a chance that it will never be continued which is a shame. The name of the TV series is taken from its main character whose name is Cleopatra, hence the 'Cleo' name. Cleopatra "Cleo" Andersson is played by a well-known actress who appeared in over 50 different films since 1978, Suzanne Alexandra Maria Reuter. After the first episode was aired in 2002, on March 24, it became wildly known and watched by over 2 million people.
  6. At the Monte-Carlo TV Festival in 2004, the TV series Cleo won three awards for Outstanding Actress, Outstanding Actor and Outstanding European Producer in the comedy genre. Bert Willis Karlsson was actually featured in Season 2, in Episode 2 that was aired on 29 September 2002. Seeing how this is a comedy series, who knows what his role was. However, he was actually featured in this series as his own character, quite boring right? Maybe the next series he acts in he will take a role of somebody else, which would make everything a bit more interesting to many of us.
  7. The second series where you can see Bert Willis Karlsson's 'acting skills', is called the Kommissionen. This is a totally different series than the previous one, as it falls under the drama/thriller category. The plot revolves around the event that happened after a terrorists attacked the capital of Sweden, Stockholm. For those who like series that depict the human nature and raise a lot of interesting questions, you will surely enjoy this series as well. In addition, you can see Bert Willis Karlsson in a small role, where he, acted as himself... again. The series is not as popular as 'Cleo', but it surely is worth watching.
