Desperation

It is indeed a wonder why you keep coming back
No matter how much I pummel you
Crush you
Burn you
Cut you into ribbons
Tear you apart like a beast
You always find a way to come crawling back
Trying to convince me to go back
Why should I ever go back?
You give me no incentive to go back
Hedonism?
You just think that because you were more of my youth
And I tossed you aside when I grew older
Face it
You’ve grown insignificant
Ironically you’re getting smaller each passing day
I am bound to the beasts within me
They are my guardians against your malice
I've already broken from your chains
It is truly shameful that you try and use the stresses of school
To try and imprison me with your slimy tendrils
As you soon realize that you’re surrounded by all sides
By the guardians of my psyche ready to tear into you
As many times as necessary
You will shrivel up into nothingness
I will stand victorious
It’s only a matter of time
