This okatana is called Kogarasumaru. Its design is particular, in the sense that it has a blade at the back side of the cutting edge.

It’s called “Hokosaki Moroha Zukuri” design. The Kogarasumaru has a double-edged blade on not just the tip, but half of the blade.

Because of this, it is able to demonstrate its might not only by slashing, but also by thrusting...
