FutureAnon - Chapter 1 (Edit: Sept. 28th)

Edit, September 28: I do not plan on abandoning this story, I just need to do some brainstorming and figure out where to take it. I will continue this eventually and might make some minor revisions to this opening chapter as well.

I need a proper name for this story, everything I've come up with so far blows
The prologue is important to the story and plot- read it or prepare to be confused

>You squirm around for a couple minutes, making sure nothing was broken
>The suits sensors were acting up so you forced a system reboot as you lay still in the crater
<All Systems Online>
>Damn, this suit was amazing!
>You just flew through a wormhole, and fell onto a planet; no problems at all
>Now to find out just where you were
>You remember spotting a small village on the way down, it wasn't far from here
>Suddenly you hear a voice
>"Whooaaaa.."
>Floating above the crater, staring down at you, was a... pegasus?
>You stand up and take flight, floating up to the height of this creature, who slowly backs off
>Sure enough, it was a miniature cyan-colored pegasus, with a rainbow-colored mane and giant megenta eyes, looking on at you in awe
>"Just what are you? And where did you come from?" she asks hesitantly
"Holy shit it can talk!"
>She raises an eyebrow at that remark
>"Well duh. What, never seen a pony before?"
"Obviously not..." you say, getting a look at your surroundings

>This planet was beautiful
>You were surround by rolling plains; larger hills and tall mountains in the distance
>In one direction, you can spot the village you saw on the way down
>The color everywhere was so vibrant, it was hard to believe a place like this could exist
>You remain awestruck, until the pegasus interupts
>"Nice aint it? Are ya gonna answer my questions?"
"I uhh.. came from another planet, obviously very far away from this place.."
>She is noticably confused
<Outside oxygen levels high. Environment safe>
"Good enough for me."
>You retract the entire helmet back into your suit, revealing your head and face to the pony
>She flinches back in shock
"It's okay, this is what I actually look like. This suit protects me, I had to know if this planet was safe before I opened it up."
>"P- planet? Just what do you mean by all that?"
"Simple. I probably couldn't explain to you how I got here, but just know that I came from a different planet, very from here, near one of the many stars you see in the night sky."
>Her jaw drops, and she's speechless
*sigh* "Well that's obviously a foreign concept... let's move on... So, you're a pegasus, huh?"
>She snaps out of her confusion to respond
>"Yeah, that's right. There's also unicorns and earth ponies here."
"I see.. are you a peaceful race?"
>"Of course we're peaceful! There are others though, like dragons and changelings, they can be downright evil sometimes, but they all live outside of Equestria."
"Equestria? Is that what you call this place?"
>"Yep!"
"Hmm... well I gotta say, I'm glad you're peaceful, I didn't want to have to- ..you know what, never mind... So, my name's Anonymous."
>"Anonymous huh? That's an odd name. I'm Rainbow Dash, fastest flier in Equestria!"
>... and she thought you had an odd name? Ha
>Guess it fits her though

"Fastest flier in Equestria you say? I can fly pretty fast myself, how about we race to that village over there, and you introduce me to some of your friends? I'm really curious about this place and you ponies."
>"A race huh? You're on!"
>You extend your helmet back up and over your head and take off at full speed
>Rainbow Dash takes off at the same time, surprisingly keeping up with you
>Within seconds, you arrive at the village, Rainbow Dash just a few meters behind you
>"Nooo waayyy.."
"Ha, so you are pretty quick, much faster than I would have given you credit for."
>"Yeah, thanks, but just so you know I can go a lot faster than that. Maybe later I'll demonstrate for you." she says giving you a smirk
"Is that so? For your information, I can go a lot faster as well. It's just kinda dangerous with anybody else nearby." you say smiling back at her
>"I'm pretty dangerous myself at high speed ya know, I can't just go that fast near anypony either."
>Wait, she can't be serious
>You're going to have to put this to the test later
>"Let's head over to that house over there." She says, pointing a hoof at a... tree.
>wat
"That's a, house? Inside of a tree?"
>"Yep. If there's anypony that can get you started around here, it's Twilight."
>Shrugging, you follow Rainbow Dash to the large tree
>"Better let me talk to her first, I'll call ya in when she's ready."
"Uh, sure.."
>Rainbow knocks on the door and is invited in
>After a few moments, she shouts back to you, giving you the okay to come in
>With your helmet retracted, you walk into the tree
>It actually looks really nice in here
>There's a ton of book-cases carved into the walls, and an upper loft area which looks like a makeshift bedroom
>"Anonymous, huh?" speaks an unfamiliar voice
>You finally turn your gaze to see a purple unicorn standing just a few feet from you
"Uh, yeah, that's my name. And you?"
>"Twilight Sparkle. You don't look like anything I've ever seen or read about before, just what are you?"
"My race is called Human, and we come from a very far away place."
>"Hmm, human huh."

>Her horn begins to glow as she looks over at her bookcases
>One of the many books begins to glow the same color, as it levitates over to the unicorn and opens up in front of her
"Whoa, what the shit? How are you doing that!?"
>"Hmm? Doing what?"
"Holding that book up like that!"
>"What, never seen magic before? Jeez, I can't imagine how far away from here you must live."
"M.. magic? ...mother of god."
>Rainbow steps in at this point
>RD:"Twilight, he's from a much farther place than you think, trust me." she says with a giggle
"Yeah, and there's definitely no magic where I come from, so don't be alarmed if I'm a tad surprised by it."
>They both stop and look at you curiously
>TS:"What do you mean no magic?"
"I mean there is none. It doesn't exist, in any form. Never has."
>Twilight's eyes widen
>TS:"But.. But how? How does your world work without magic? How do you raise and lower your sun and moon!?" she's raising her voice as she goes along, obviously quite frightened at the thought of no magic
>At least she seemed to realize you were from another world
"It's a- ..wait, don't you DARE fucking tell me that your sun and moon are raised with MAGIC!"
>TS:"I.. uh, well.. it is! Is yours not!? How do you do it!?"
"..ugh, oh god I think I just had an annuerism..." you say, lowering your head and clutching it with your hands
>RD:"Whoa, what? Are you serious!?"
"What? No, no, I just.. need to sit down.."

>You take a seat on a nearby couch and sit back, leaning your had on the back of it and staring off blankly into the cieling
"So... magic, huh? Is that just your best explanation, or is there more to it than that?"
>TS:"Equestria is ruled by two Princesses, Celestia and Luna. Celestia raises and lowers the sun every day, and Luna does the same with the moon. They've been doing it for centuries, it's quite simple really."
"Forgive me if I don't understand right away.." you respond sarcastically "Two princesses.. They must be very powerful. Also, centuries? Just how long do you ponies live anyway?"
>TS:"Well, few ponies live past a hundred years, but the princesses are Alicorns, they don't technically age at all. And yes, they are very powerful."
"Must be nice. What's an Alicorn?"
>TS:"Think of it as a cross between unicorn and pegasus. There's more to it than that of course, but I'll save it for later." she says looking back into the book she was still levitating in front of her
>After a few moments of nothing but Twilight flipping through pages of her book, she finally closes it, sighs, and magics it back to the shelf
>TS:"There doesn't seem to be anything in here regarding Humans..."
"Yeah, that's not surprising. I highly doubt our species have ever seen each other."
>Twilight finally takes a seat with Rainbow Dash and relaxes
>TS:"So what's your story Anonymous? Just where did you come from? How did you get here? And what's with that weird thing you're wearing, are you ever going to take it off so we can see what you really look like?"
"That's kind of a lot to tell, Twilight. Ready for a story?"
>She gives you a big sheepish grin and nods her head
>Yeah, a story is defintiely what she wanted

>You go on telling Twilight and Rainbow your story; about the current state of your planet and species, the elite group you belong to, the suits, the event that brought you here, etc.
>There were details about your orders, and other rules you were supposed to abide by that you just wouldn't tell them
>After you came through the wormhole, you caught a glimpse behind you only to watch it close right away
>As far as you were concerned, you would be trapped here forever
>You didn't want to tell them yet, but that fact made any orders or rules you had completely useless
>The only thing you couldn't figure out was why none of the others came through that wormhole with you
>Were they all sent to different dimensions, or random corners of the galaxy?
>Maybe that blast from Heavy took out the machine before anybody else was pulled through?
>You could only guess, but it was honestly probably better off if none of them came here
>This place seemed very nice, and it's inhabitants ridiculously friendly
>Anybody else on your team would probably think straight to their orders regarding habitable planets...
>Yeah, you're glad they aren't here

>After a couple hours of stories and idle chit-chat, you stand up and stretch
"I'm starving. How about we go to this Sugarcube place for some dinner?"
>RD:"Aw yeah, I could totally go for that!"
>TS:"Sure, it'll give you a chance to meet some of our friends too."
>With that, the three of you set off from Twilight's house and into this town they say is called Ponyville
>As you head toward the village, you take flight and simply hover along
>It was so much easier than walking
>TS:"Anon, are you ever going to take that thing off? I'm not sure you'll make the best impressions floating into town in a power suit like that you know."
"Ha, you kidding me? I practically live in this thing, I love it too much."
>Twilight pouts at you
*sigh* "I'll take it off before I go to sleep Twilight, that better?"
>TS:"Perfect, then I can study you!"
>You cock an eyebrow up at Twilight
"I'm not even gonna ask..."
>Twilight giggles and looks ahead
>You notice Rainbow had been hovering along with you on your other side, up until a few seconds ago
>You and Twilight stop and look back; Rainbow was looking up into the sky
>RD:"Anon, look." she says, pointing upward
>It doesn't take long to spot the fireball dropping through the atmosphere and heading your direction
"Well, what to ya know, somebody else managed to end up here too."
>TS:"Wait, that's.. no way!"
"Twilight, don't get excited. There's a few things about my team, about our secret orders, that I didn't tell either of you."
>Rainbow and Twilight both look to you with very worried looks on their faces
"There's a good chance that these guys will want to harm you, or anybody that gets in their way. When he lands, let me confront him alone, I don't want to put either of you in danger."
>RD:"Whoa, hang on. You seem pretty cool, why would this team of yours be so much different?"
"It's a long story Rainbow, I'll explain it later. Just don't go near wherever he lands okay?"
>They both nod and look back at the new human plumetting towards the town
>Before long, he rockets into the ground just outside the other end of Ponyville, creating a large crater with his landing
>Your helmet comes out and covers your head as you boost off over Ponyville to find out just who it was that came down

>In a few seconds, you end up above the crater, waiting for the dust to clear
>Eventually, you hear him get up and take flight
>He hovers up and out of the dust, coming up to level with you
>It was a mostly forrest-green and white suit
>Cutter...
>Great, this guy was practically a psychopath, he loved cutting people up
>Including civilians, even when they weren't really in the way...
>C:"Well well, look who it is... So, any idea what planet we're on kid?"
"The place is called Equestria. It's inhabited by magical sentient ponies, who are a very peaceful race, and I'm more convinced this is another dimension, not just a random uncharted planet."
>C:"Whoa whoa whoa, hold the phone. Just how do you know all of that? I was pulled into the wormhole only about two seconds after you were."
"Two seconds? Seriously? I've been here for a few hours!"
>C:"Well, how 'bout that.. So, you said this place was inhabited by sentient ponies huh? Sounds ridiculous... what's your kill count so far?"
"Wha- kill count!? Cutter, I agree this place is a bit ridiculous, but these ponies are peaceful, and very friendly. I'm not killing any of them."
>C:"Is that so? Did you forget the desperate needs of our race? How about the specific orders we were given to clear out any garden planets we might come across so we can colonize them?"
"Did you not see the wormhole close behind you? We're fucking stuck here man, none of that matters anymore. We can forget about the war, the killing, all of that. We can start new lives here!"
>C:"Are you fucking kiddin' me? I realize we're stuck here, and what that means. That being said, I'm gonna have some fun!"
"Fun? Just what the hell are you talking about?"
>C:"Kid, I'm not gonna live on a planet with a bunch of fukin' colorful little friendly ponies. So I'm gonna kill them instead and take their planet for myself! You should join me, it'll be fun!"
"You're insane! I refuse to allow you to harm any of these creatures!"
>Cutter floats over and comes face to face with you
>C:"What was that kid? You think you're gonna stop me?"
"Damn straight I am. This is a peaceful land, and it belongs to them. They've already accepted and befriended me, and I'm not going to let you ruin that."
>C:"So be it, Ki-"
>He's cut off as he looks past you
>C:"My god, they are adorable. It just, makes me want to, CUT THEM ALL UP!" he finishes with an evil laugh

>You look behind you to see Rainbow floating in place a ways back, watching on
>When you take your focus off Cutter, he pushes you aside and boosts toward Rainbow, unleashing the blades from his arms
>You immediately boost after him; you knew your suit was faster but you weren't sure if you'd catch him in time
"RAINBOW, MOVE! GET OUT OF HERE!"
>She snaps out of her trance and takes off at full speed
>C:"OH NO YOU DON'T!"
>You catch up right behind Cutter, and move into position above him, charging up energy into your hands
>Before you have a chance to fire, you notice you had both caught up to Rainbow
>Cutter extends an arm forward and fires the blade attached to it, striking her right wing
>Rainbow screams in agony as she immediately loses her flight balance and begins falling
>You take this time to fire the built-up energy out of the palms of your hands, directly into the back of Cutter, sending him rocketing to the ground
>As soon as your blast is fired, you boost off to Rainbow, getting under her just before she hits the ground, grasping her into your arms and taking the fall yourself
>You slide across a dirt street in the middle of Ponyville for many meters before coming to a stop, Rainbow Dash still in your arms screaming in pain
>You take a quick look at her damaged wing; it was almost torn in half, you can only imagine the pain she must be in
>In a sudden flash, Twilight Sparkle appears next to you
>TS:"RAINBOW!"
"Twilight! She's hurt real bad, where's the nearest hospital?"
>TS:"Just across town, that way!" She points a hoof almost in the direction you were just flying
"You just teleported right? Can you teleport her there? I need to take care of this piece of shit before he attacks anybody else."
>TS:"I.. yeah, got it!"
>Twilight uses her magic to lift up Rainbow out of your arms, and after a brief moment they both teleport away

>You quickly get up onto your feet, only to realize Cutter was standing in front of you
>C:"You really do care about thees creatures don't you? HA! That'll just make this even more fun!"
>As he starts to laugh, you jump, boosting yourself forward as you throw your arm forward and connect your first to his helmet
>He's knocked back a few yards and onto the ground
"I tried to reason with ya bitch, but you just signed your own death warrant!"
>Cutter is quick to get back upright, now hovering just above the ground
>C:"You did not just call me a bitch."
>You respond with a smirk
>C:"That's it!"
>Cutter unsheathes his blades from his arms and jumps at you
>He swings his arms at you with great speed, striking at least twice a second
>Fortunately, your speed is better; you're able to raise an arm to block every one of his attacks
>Your arms are taking some scratches, but your more durrable suit is no match for the blades of his
>You notice a slight break in his attack as he prepares a stronger swing
>Taking advantage of this, you extend an arm to his chest and blast him back
>His chest took a little damage, but nothing for him to worry about
>Now with a couple yards in distance between the two of you, he immediately fires both of this arm blades at you before he even fully recovers from the blast he took
>You're able to swat one of the blades away, but the other one went low and struck the side of your left thigh, which was a weaker spot in the armor
>The blade is able to cut through the suit and slice a couple inches in, just below your waste, from front to back
>Needless to say, it hurt like a bitch, and you scream to signifiy that

>Cutter retracts the blades back to his arms and dashes for you
>Just after he begins his movement, he's struck in the face with a large blast of.. magic?
>You both look over to the source, seeing a white unicorn with a beautiful purple mane standing about a dozen yards back
>Cutter quickly recovers, confused
>You take this time to charge up some energy into just your right hand
>C:"What in the fuck was that!?"
"Magic motherfucker!" you yell at him, trying to ignore the pain
>You were trained to endure pain, and thankfuly your suit can inject painkillers into your system to help cope with any injuries
>C:"Magic? You can't be fukin' serious!"
"I told you they were magical!"
>Cutter is noticably pissed, really not liking that blast to the face or your comments about the matter
>You take this time to jump forward, trying to land a punch with your left arm
>He's still focused enough to read your attack and instantly jump back a couple more yards
>As soon as he does, that same unicorn teleports up to within a few feet of you, to the side, and fires another blast at Cutters face
>He stumbles back, now seething with rage, as he turns his focus to the unicorn
>C:"You WHORE! I'M GOING TO SLICE YOU INTO BITS!" he shouts at her with a devious laugh to follow
>The unicorn gasps at the "whore" comment
>Cutter charges at the unicorn with his blades out, you know there's no way she can react in him
>You dash in-between the two, extending your right arm toward your enemy, still charging up a large blast
>Getting in the way just in time, you fire your blast into Cutter's chest, stopping him right in his tracks
>The blast emits from your palm for a few seconds, creating a hole directly through his chest and out the other side
>C:"Yo... you..." he stutters as the energy subsides
"I told you I wouldn't let you harm any of them. Unfortunately, you did harm one, so in return, I killed your dumb ass. Now go die so I can fix up this leg of mine."
>As you speak your last words to your former comrade, you push him back and watch as he falls to the ground
>You kneel down and open up part of his suit, interfacing it with yours
>Your suit begins taking the remaining energy from Cutter's
>Parts of your suit begin transforming, adopting the tech of the other suit
>The damaged part of you suit along your left thigh repairs itself in the process, applying a healing solution to your large wound, sealing it up
>It's only temporary, you'll still have to find a doctor and get it fixed up, but at least for now it wont bleed anymore
>even though it still hurts like a bitch
>After a couple minutes, the transfer finishes, and you have some new upgrades you'll have to check out later

>Cutter's suit starts producing a loud beeping sound
>You know exactly what this means, as you get up and walk away toward the white unicorn who was only a few feet behind you
"Follow me, we gotta get away from him."
>"Bu-"
"I mean it, it's dangerous!"
>She obliges and you both walk away
>After a few moments, an explosion is heard behind you, startling you both
>Now you both stop and face each other, you kneeling down in front of her, enduring the pain in your leg
>You open up your helmet, unveiling your head to the unicorn, before speaking out
"Thanks for your help, but.. why did you help me when you have no idea who I am?"
>"I saw what you did for Rainbow Dash, so I knew you were on our side. And I just felt like I should return the favor for her."
"I see, so is Rainbow a friend of yours?"
>"Yes, you can say that. My name is Rarity, and you are?"
"Anonymous. Pleased to meet you Rarity. Now, I'm going to the hospital to check up on Rainbow Dash, care to join me?"
>"But of course, let us not waste any more time!"
>And with that, Rarity tells you to stand still for a moment as she teleports you both to the little Ponyville hospital
