  1. WASH 9 DONALD TRUMP BATON ROUGE LA RALLY POOL C16 021116
  2.
  3. 20:55:20
  4. [Trump walks out]
  5.
  6. ON CROWD COMING IN
  7.
  8. 20:56:25
  9. Wow, wow. Thank you, unbelievable. Unbelievable. Look at this crowd, you know we have 5,000 people outside trying to get in. (Cheers) 5,000.
  10. So you know it's interesting they said should we let them outside, let them fill up, they are gonna let them fill up that one little corner. We have 5,000. Should we wait for them? I don't think so. (cheers + booing) All right they are coming in.
  11.
  12. 20:57:00
  13. Well, thank you very much. Is LSU going to win the big game next year? (cheers) Yes, good team. Good team. Good team, good coach, good everything. LSU, LSU, LSU.
  14.
  15. CROWD: [chants] LSU!
  16.
  17. TRUMP: This is an honor to have this kind of a crowd. So we have a big SCC day coming up pretty soon you got to get out and vote folks. Otherwise it's not gonna happen. (cheers) It's not gonna happen.
  18.
  19. 20:57:44
  20. You know, all over we get the biggest crowds by far, it's not even close. And a couple of weeks ago I had this massive crowd, we had 12,000 which is like small for us. And I say us because we are in this together, this country is a mess. (cheers)
  21.
  22. ON BIGGER CROWD THAN SANDERS
  23.
  24. 20:58:00
  25. And Bernie had 3,000. (boos) No. And I watched the news and they said Bernie Sanders had a massive crowd of 3,000 people. Ok, then they got to my story, Donald Trump spoke today, and we had 9,000 people more, they never mentioned the crowd. These people are so dishonest. They are so dis-- you know, it's true. (booing) It's true. They are so dishonest, the media, the press. They are the most dishonest people. They don't say it. I wonder if they are going to show this stadium packed. (cheers) Packed.
  26.
  27. 20:58:53
  28. And this wasn't set up a long time ago. You didn't work on this about a year. We worked on this about what, 4 days? Or something. Where we have a big one coming up, we have first South Carolina, thank you darling, look at these people.
  29.
  30. CROWD: Trump! Trump!
  31.
  32. SOUTH CAROLINA COMING UP
  33.
  34. 20:59:26
  35. We have a big one coming up, great place,, south Carolina. I think we're going to do really well, the people are great. This country is all over. No matter where we go, Oklahoma, Dallas we had 20 thousand the mavericks arena. No matter where we go. 35 thousand (?) place called Alabama. Do you know Alabama? Do you know? You do know Alabama but next year you'll like it better alright next year. It's a good place, good people.
  36.
  37. ON WINNING:
  38.
  39. 20:59:59
  40.
  41. But we have great people and they want to see things happen in this country because, you know I say it all the time you people know about winning. You people know about winning better than anybody and we don't win. As a country we don't win anymore we just don't win anymore. We don't win with China on trade, we don't win with anybody on trade. We don't win at the border. We don't win with ISIS can you imagine we don't win with ISIS.
  42.
  43. ONE DAY ONE WEEK TO KNOCK OUT ISIS
  44.
  45. 21:00:23
  46.
  47. I always said, General Douglas MAcArthur, General George Patton. You say knock out ISIS what would it take? One day? One week?
  48.
  49. BUILD MILITARY SO STRONG
  50.
  51. 21:01:35
  52. We are going to build our military so big so strong so powerful that nobody is going to mess with us, nobody. And we're going to order the right equipment. We're not ordering equipment that they don't want. We're not ordering equipment that the soldiers don't want to use. We're not ordering equipment that our generals don't want to have because the company making the equipment have lobbyist who have power people that are going along with me. Believe me.
  53.
  54. ON CROWD SIZE
  55.
  56. 21:02:47
  57.
  58. Now you tell me is this a normal situation? Another candidate comes, what do they have what - 200 people or something? we got 11,000 and 4,000 outside (cheers) do you believe that? 11 thousand. And they are great people.
  59.
  60. ON POLITICIANS
  61.
  62. 21:01:27
  63.
  64. So I'm going to tell you a story because it's endemic of so many things that we have int he country. Politicians are all talk, no action. I've done very well with politicians. if you can't get rich with politicians, there's something wrong with you, folks. I've done very well and I've supported everyone I'm open about it. When I was businessman, they said world class business man. Well you have to get along with everyone You got to get along with Hillary as secretary of state. [Boo] True true. You got to get along with everybody. I even got along with Harry Reid can you imagine? [Boo] Can you Imagine? But you owe that to yourself because you're running this big company, you're all over the world all over the United State's and you got to get alone with everybody ok or so I look at it.
  65.
  66. ON OBAMACARE AND PRESCRIPTION DRUGS AND PRICE NEGOTIATION
  67.
  68. 21:06:09
  69. They were asking me, one of the reporters yesterday, well wouldn't you rather just amend. I said no you got to repeal it, cause it's so broken. It's so bad. It's going to fall of it's own volition, real, it's gonna fall in 17 of its own volition. So, he said to me, you got to do something. Our country in the negotiations for drugs, meaning prescription drugs and other drugs. Stuff to make you better. For medicare etcetera. Our country doesn't negotiate price, they are not allowed to. I said what you mean they are not allowed to? he said Donald, I don't understand it, if you go to a drug store, anyone of you, and go in and get something our country pays, have you ever heard this, our country pays about the same price, even though we are the largest purchaser of drugs in the world.
  70.
  71. 21:06:57
  72. We pay about the same price. So, the doctor who is a great doctor but he is not into the-- said I know why. He said how do you know why, he told me about two seconds ago, I said, what you mean? He goes, how do you know why? I said, because I know politicians, the politicians are taking care of by the drugs companies. The politicians say, and they'll come up with a reason like, because it's so important and because they are prescriptions in nature, and because of the complexity of the complex of the drug, we cannot negotiate the price. So here is the story folks. Here is the story. This is just something, and this is a story you haven't heard except for me nobody talks abotu this stuff. Nobody talks about it.
  73.
  74. 21:07:40
  75. So I said to the man, that's because of our politicians. So here is what we do, one of the early things I'll do, we have more important things, as bad as this si, we have bigger things. But because of this man, who is so great that he told me this, because I didn't know this, I never heard this, it's inconceivable that we don't negotiate-- cause when you have that big an order you should buy stuff like for 25% what the people are paying. ok. If we negotiate it properly or even put in a favorite nation's clothes, meaning anybody that bought that drug or that medicine in the world, worldwide, we get the same price less 10%. Ok? Ok? [applause]
  76.
  77. MILITARY NOT GETTING EQUIPMENT THEY WANT
  78.
  79. 21:08:20
  80. If did that, this is just one item, this is one item, this probably peanuts compared to the other stuff I'll find. Believe me, if we did that, we will save 300 million dollars, wrong, we will save 300 billion dollars a year. [cheers] like that, 300 billion. No, no, think of it. Hard to believe. In fact you say billion. We save 300 billion, one deal. Now, the reason I started with the military because I have been hearing for years that a lot of times they buy equipment that then -- because you know they like something else but they are not gonna get, and know why?
  81.
  82. "We need sanity"
  83. 21:09:00
  84. Because these politicians, these bloodsuckers, I call them the bloodsuckers. We gotta get rid of them. We got to have, we need, we need sanity.
  85.
  86.
  87. ON A SECOND TERM
  88.
  89. 21:09:09
  90. folks, I don't know what.. I'm going to be there I'm going to do a great job. Hopefully maybe I get an extra four years. maybe I don't. Somebody said-
  91. but you know the media asked me Mr. Trump would you commit to four years and not run longer. I said not but honestly I said if I'm doing a great job, I feel good, who the hell knows how I'll feel in four years, it's a tough job. but if I'm doing a good job, we have term limits automatically it's called the people. If the people want a term limit they vote against you and that's the end of that. If I'm doing a good job. I've seen people they commit I'm going to do it for 2 years and after that in Congress I'm going to do it for 4 years or whatever the term might be. Then they regret it and they always lose the election did you notice that? Whenever they say I'm going to commit.
  92.
  93.
  94. 21:10:16
  95.
  96. So I'm just telling you I can do it all in four years. But if I'm doing a great job, let me have four easier years ok? Let me have. four easier year's (cheers)
  97.
  98. ON A RELAXING SECOND TERM
  99.
  100. 21:10:38
  101.
  102. Let me have four years of relaxation because I'll do most of the work in the first four years. By that time we'll have a really strong military we'll be taking care of our vets better than any vets are taken care of anywhere.
  103.
  104. ON JEB BUSH AND SPEECH INTERRUPTION
  105.
  106. 21:11:08
  107.
  108. As an example, you have people running like Jeb Bush. The head of his finance committee (boo). Don't fall asleep when I mention the name, please. you know that this guy - did you see it? Yesterday he's making a speech in a venue and the owner came and said I'm sorry, we have to close now you have to get out in the middle of his speech. Did you see that? he said the venue is closing, you have to leave. He said what are you talking about? That's called respect, right? This is what we have as our president. Boy oh boy that's a low energy individual, folks.
  109.
  110. ON GEORGE W. BUSH JOINING JEB ON THE TRAIL
  111.
  112. 21:11:47
  113.
  114. And I see he's bringing his brother in now, he tried the mother who's a very nice lady I'm sure but he tried the mother that didn't work out so good now he's bringing in his brother, I won't say anything I am going to save that for after his brother makes a statement because there is plenty to say about what happened, especially that last 3 months and especially getting us in that quicksand you know we got in quicksand. I was against the war in Iraq. We have to be given credit for vision. I was against the war in Iraq.
  115.
  116.
  117. ON OBAMA NOT BOMBING OIL FOR ENVIRONMENTAL REASONS
  118.
  119. 21:13:04
  120. And they don't do it. And then you had Paris and lot of things changed with Paris, number one they started bombing, but how about this, France started bombing the oil, not us. We were weeks later. France, and even us now, listen to this one, this is, I thought they were kidding, I thought they were not serious, we are not really bombing the oil like we are supposed to be because Obama doesn't want to create environmental pollution, do you believe this? (booing)
  121.
  122. 21:13:36
  123. He doesn't want to hurt the carbon footprint, and yet he'll fly air force one a boeing 747 with very old engines to Hawaii to play golf and back, for a long time, I mean he was there for what, 2 or 3 weeks, that's a long time. You know it's funny, if I get elected president I am gonna be in the White House a lot. I am not leaving. (cheers) we have deals to make. Who the hell wants to leave? Right? (cheers)
  124.
  125.
  126.
  127. ONLY PLAY GOLF WITH PEOPLE THAT HELP THE COUNTRY
  128.
  129. 21:14:23
  130. First of all you are there for a limited period of time, whether it's 4 years or 8 years. I mean you are there, but more importantly, you have a lot of work to do. I mean, you don't want to be flying, I love golf, it's wonderful. By the way when he plays golf, you should only play with people that are gonna help our country. And that includes congressmen, so you need passages of legislation which we don't get so he signs executive orders all over the place, you should only play with people that can help you, including heads of foreign countries, like China, so that you can tell them that we are going to make a much better deal that we have right now, and if you told them on the golf course it's a little bit easier you know, you can take the lumps out as they say. But you shouldn't be playing with your friends. You should be playing with people that can help out the country. that's what you got to do. [applause]
  131.
  132. ON LOVING THE PEOPLE IN THE ROOM AND OBAMAS' TRIPS
  133.
  134. 21:15:25
  135. I might even love him, he is a nice guy, he is not my style, not exactly my thing but I love this man.
  136. I love everyone in this room, you know we're all here together. We're all here together. It's amazing. Amazing people. Amazing, amazing people. So, I wouldn't leave the White House very much because, you know, like little things like these little trips where they get on they cost you a fortune. Everytime. They had a case where they were doing a television show in California. His wife was perfectly lovely, was doing another show in the same area, I think it was Burbank California. One took a 747 and the other like an hour or two later the other took a 757. They take two planes. Think of the carbon footprint. I am not worried about the carbon footprint, I am worried about the cost. I am worried about the cost. Why would you have two people flying to the same location a little time different. Why wouldn't you both go. But here is what you really do. So they were doing these show, right and each was doing a different show.
  137.
  138.
  139. ON USING FOUL LANGUAGE
  140.
  141. 21:21:41
  142.
  143. So what I do is instead of political hacks, we have hacks. I know some of them. They are political hacks. They get their job. I won't use foul language I'm just not going to do it (
  144. they're all saying do it (chant: do it). No. I'm not. They get their jobs because they give campaign contributions to politicians because they are very nice to politicians that's better right. That's better. You see a woman here is on my side. You're right. She said don't do it right? Don't do it. Because they always have a- even if it's not a bad word if it's a little bit off they kill me, so I won't do it. I'll never do it again actually. And I'll never even copy somebody what they asked me to say right.
  145.
  146.
  147.
  148. ON RUNNING FOR PRESIDENT
  149.
  150. 21:29:54
  151. Running for president let me tell you takes guts. It takes guts It's not easy.not easy. Not easy. So I backed McCain and I backed Romney. McCain lost, Romney lost. I said dammit, the next time I'm just going to do it myself right. (cheers).
  152.
  153. 21:32:31
  154. My father was terrific guy, good negotiator. I said he said, son son you're too tough. You gotta take lumps out you gotta take the lumps out. I said what do you mean pop what do you mean pop? He said you're too tough, you gotta take the lumps out nice and easy take the lumps out. So in the old days I would have said, we're not giving you the 150! You're not gonna get the 150 billion! I am sitting next to these killers all great negotiators, tough guys look at what they did with us to Kerry and Obama. So my father says take the lumps out. So I would say it this way. I'm sorry. We have a country that owes 19 trillion they don't even know what a trillion dollars is it is so much. They owe 19 trillion dollars. The Republicans just signed a deal where the budget is a disaster. You know that. Under the deal the migration is allowed to come in, illegal immigrants are allowed to come in, Obamacare is refunded right? That's what happened. The Republicans approved it and I'm a Republican. I'm more disappointed in them because you know what we know where the Democrats are coming from but the Republicans are supposed to be fighting for us and they're not. So I'd say - take the lumps out - we have a country, it's very sad.
  155.
  156.
  157. 21:33:17 ( It?) owes 19 trillion dollars. The Republicans just signed a deal where the budget is just a disaster. You know that. Under the deal the migration is allowed to come in, Illegal immigrants are allowed to come in. Obamacare is refunded right. Yeah it's what happened. The Republicans approved it folks and I'm a republican. I'm more disappointed in them because you know what we know where the democrats are coming from but the Republicans are supposed to be fighting for us and they are not.
  158.
  159.
  160. 21:38:19
  161. I actually said, how do you spend $40 million? He spent 40$ million and he came in towards the bottom 4 or 5th think of it. Wouldn't it be nice if our country could do things where we spend the least and do the best? Wouldn't that be great? Actually you wanna know the truth, it's sad. It's all sad.
  162.
  163.
  164. 21:42:47
  165. There's hatred going on. .. Radical Islamic terrorism, we got a problem. We've got a problem and we damn well better figure out what the problem is. (cheers)
  166.
  167. 214344
  168. we will build a wall (cheers)
  169.
  170. 21:47:10
  171. I won't talk about my opponents, there's not much to talk about. Honestly, I will say this here's what I want you to do. So, they have hundreds of millions of dollars that they got all from the special interests. You saw the last debate, right? Everyone said I won the last debate, did I win it? [cheers] so who knows, who knows. We know that Marco Rubio did not win it, can we agree? That's what. I only said that because he said some nasty things about us. I wouldn't have said it. you know if they would like- poor Jeb he spent $20 million on negative ads.
  172.
  173. 21:47:50
  174. If he wouldn't do that, I wouldn't talk badly about him. You know? And he's so off he said just stop and I'll leave him alone. He's like a child. Cruz, Cruz today did an ad today that's so false, it's so false. And you know, it's difficult because I'm a legitimate person. IF i see these ads, remember these ads are paid for by the special interests, the lobbyists, and the donors they are not paid for by these guys. They have hundreds of millions of dollars and they take these ads, and they're vicious and they'll say anything. They'll say anything. I just hope you don't believe that crap because it's all crap. They're lies.
  175.
  176. 21:48:29
  177. They talk about eminent domain. Without eminent domain you wouldn't have a road, you wouldn't have hospitals you wouldn't have anything! By the way, without eminent domain you wouldn't have the keystone pipeline you know all these guys that are talking about Donald Trump and eminent domain, you look at the perspective on the keystone pipeline and I'll approve it. The difference is
  178. on jeb spending 20 million on negative ads, he's like a child. Cruz today took an ad that's so false, I'm a legitimate person. when I see these ads... remember these ads are paid for by special interests and donors, not these guys. they have hundreds of millions of dollars. they're vicious. I just hope you don't believe the crap b/c it's all crap. they're lies! they talk about eminent domain without eminent domain you wouldn't have a road. you wouldn't have hospitals or anything.
  179.
  180. 21:49:01
  181. Remember this with eminent domain, you become rich.
  182.
  183. 21:49:27
  184. Everyone of the guys that are against me, and I don't love eminent domain, you need it you wouldn't have a highway, you wouldn't have a road, you wouldn't have an airport, you wouldn't have anything.
  185.
  186. 21:50:13
  187. Bush says, I do not believe he's a true conservative. These people are stupid! He always says the same thing, 'I do not believe he's a true conservative'. In a way, I don't even care about labels, I'm a guy with common sense that's gonna make us a fortune, we're gonna get rid of the debt, [cheers] but all of these people, all of these people, every single one of these people want the keystone pipeline.
  188.
  189.
  190. 21:51:53
  191. In north Korea, you have the maniac, why isn't South Korea paying us to protect them?
  192.
  193. 21:52:47
  194. We need a few things, we need a few things and one of the things we need is we need some unpredictability. We need, well you know need Trump, that's right [cheers]. [turns to audience in the back]
  195.
