Nier Story Time - The Knight and the Dragon

Hello children. I'm Storytelling robot StarMech, here to soothe you with wonderful stories hidden from within the many curved and darkened depths of the YokoTaroverse! Stories lost from within we will see in the stream, but nevertheless very important and connected into the very nature of the NieR timeline. So sit back and relax as I bring you stories across space and time.

But where to start? So many stories, a limited amount of streams...hmmm...well, I guess I should start from the beginning...*AHEM*...It aaaall started with a beautiful flower...

Wait...that may be a little TOO far back. Not really relevant to our current stories...alright, I guess I'll dial it forward just a little bit.

*AHEM* A long time ago, there was a magical kingdom full of magic and wonder. With dragons and elves and fairies of all sorts! Creatures of magic bound themselves to humans through pacts, such a common trope I'd say.

In there was a goddess would save the world, the one to cleanse the land of re-deyed disease that drove people into monstrous madness. A Young woman, of beautiful smile yet impure thoughts, was the chosen goddess and entire empires fought to the death to claim her as theirs. Her brother was a brave knight; Powerful too. He swore her protection, and she accepted it greatly, as her dark dirty thoughts wanted so much more of him...wait, seriously...gross. that's very gross

But the Empire came through, broke through their walls, slaughtered their loved ones, and took the goddess away. The young knight tried to save her only to fall and be left at death's door. That is, until amongst the battlefield he met a large red dragon...

Now this dragon hated humanity, like so many of her kind, but as her life was also near its end she made a pact with the young man, sacrificing his voice to grant them both incredible power and an unbreakable bond. And so began their quest to save his sister, the world, and to take revenge!

Revenge, yes revenge! Cause while the young man's mission was good of heart, this desire of revenge quickly overwhelmed him and become addicted to the slaughtering and murder he and the dragon left in his wake. Nothing else mattered, only to get revenge. In their route, others joined their quest. a pedophile priest, an eternal child, an elf cannibal...almost sounds like the beginning of a bad dark joke. But no, they were not walking into a bar, but the gates of the empire, to find the source of the disease being a young child possessed by the very Watchers that wanted humanity dead.

It was here where in their mad quest for vengeance, casualties ensured. The young goddess falling dead by her own hand, ashamed of her dark twisted desires once they came to light. In a rage, the hero slaughtered the possessed child but it was too late. The skies parted, the Watchers sang their song; Giant monstrosities descended from above!

From heaven's gate descended a monstrous giant white as the pale moonlight. Its grotesque infants destroyed everything in their path, and bathed all the kingdoms in red. The knight's partners tried their best to combat the menace but ended devoured in the process. But the knight and the Dragon did not give up and quickly, and as a powerful spell was cast, a new portal manifested and dragged the monstrous queen inside alongside our hero. What lied beyond this gate was something the knight & dragon could ever imagine.

A strange land stood around them. One of shape and sounds the likes they had never seen. Tall structures and buildings surrounding them at every glance. The giant queen descended upon this land, starting a strange yet angelic song, one only the dragon could match in strength. The battle was fierce but the Queen's song had finally be silenced, and its body crackled and crumbled, turning into ashes which spread throughout the streets.

The battle was over, the knight & dragon had won. But one's karma could never allow to such sadistic souls to live, and such fate took a sudden twist. A powerful jet plane flew by, locking on its target and in the blink of an eye. BOOM! the dragon was down! The knight atomized to nothing, his story now at an end. And as the ashes now coated the city in white, the dragon's tale had ceased alongside his companion's; It's lifeless corpse now skewed atop tokyo's tower.

And so our curtains loses upon the story of the dragonsphere. A quite strange ending, I'd say. Thanks for playing! As a voice would say after. It's almost mocking. Humph!

But while this may be an ending, it is also an opening for something much much more!
