There once was a warrior who was scared of war. His name was Ulf. One day, France and the Vikings went to war and someone in every family had to go. His father was a very famous warrior but was becoming old. Ulf was scared that he wouldn't live up to his father's name. Since his father was becoming weak, Ulf had to go. Being afraid isn't the only reason he didn't want to fight in the war. Gretta, his girlfriend, is the biggest reason. He doesn't want to leave her because they were close to getting married, and he doesn't want to die before the ceremony and make her sad. One day, Gretta decided to pray for Freya, the godess of love. When Ulf went to bed, Freya got in his dream and made Ulf eat a magic potato, his favorite meal, that symbolized Gretta's love for eternity, so that he can have courage in his heart for the war. When he left for the war, Ulf prayed for Thor to help him in the war. Ulf got on a horse with his mighty sword and killed every enemy one by one. Thor's help and Freya's potato helped him and gave him lots of courage. When they had won the war, Freya told Gretta about all of Ulf's exploits and she was proud of her lover. When Ulf got back to Scandinavia, the whole village threw a party for him.
