One of the main characters in the story.

23 years prior to the beginning of the story, Inochi had accidentally created an individual without a personality and power that she herself should have given it. Instead, one day she fell asleep, leaving a new creation unfinished. Over the time that she spent sleeping, the half-done being finished itself. When Inochi finally woke up, a note was left in front of her, telling her of what happened. Since then, Inochi had been afraid of stepping foot outside, preferring instead to stay at home.

Through the course of exactly two months news about Inochi's accident monster had been heard of around the world.
A week after that, Inochi's house was broken into by a green Naivarya while she was in the basement, cleaning up whatever she found that the monster had broke two months ago.

In a few minutes, the Naivarya looking around in Inochi's house had reached the basement.
The mysterious Naivarya was a childish-looking, somewhat-young boy, no older than one hundred years old.
Why would anyone send someone like this to kill her?

Inochi is (was, but now slightly less) widely known for her ability to extend someone's lifespan. She can also create individual life, but it seems it takes at least a week to create a full being. If Inochi decides to give up on a creation, she would have to completely destroy her work regarding that being in order for it not to come alive all of a sudden. Unfortunately, Inochi forgot to do just that 23 years ago, and that is what lead to her murder.
As a side note, Inochi's manipulation of lifespan also lets her revive a specific being (bring it back to life), but only if the target has died up to 24 hours ago.

As a side note, since Inochi is now only a spiritual being, she cannot sustain any physical harm; rather, if one were to go about defeating Inochi in battle, one would have to use a form of supernatural magic against her.
