  9. ---
  10. Second level 2 response:
  11. - A bit longer but still too short (only 3 paragraphs)
  12. - Answers an “agree or disagree” question with “it depends” (don’t do this unless you are very confident in your writing ability)
  13. - Only two examples, and the first one isn’t about the importance of the truth for a relationship (instead it’s about how you could lose a court trial if you lie)
  14. - The second example is too informal, has spelling and grammar mistakes, and is one run-on sentence
  15. “Now telling a partial truth you are trying to help the people without hurting them. For
  16. example, when a friend asks us if she is fat, and she actually weighs 90 kilos, you won’t answer,
  17. “Yes, you are as fat as a cow,” because you will hurt her feelings. So you just need to be subtle and
  18. friendly, and respond that it is something that cannot be fixed, and you can probably
  19. offer her help.”
  20. - The conclusion talks about thinking of the right words to say something, which wasn’t part of the question or of the rest of the answer.
  21. ---
  22. Level 3 response 1
  23. - clear answer (the person agrees with the statement)
  24. - Three reasons stated in the thesis statement, three paragraphs to support those reasons
  25. - However, the third reason in the thesis doesn’t match with the argument in the third body paragraph.
  26. - The conclusion only refers to the third paragraph, which isn’t even the same reason as the intro.
  27. ---
  28. Level 5 response
  29. - still makes mistakes
  30. - doesn’t directly answer the question in the first paragraph
  31. ---
  32. Tomorrow and Monday we’ll talk about the integrated writing task.
