- FRED DICKER
- I want to go now to Randy Credico, because he's on his way to Washington, for what sounds like a very interesting conference with some very famous and very controversial people. Are you there, Randy?
- RANDY CREDICO
- Yes, Fred, I'm here.
- DICKER
- Good to have you with us, thanks for joining us this morning.
- CREDICO
- I'm outside, over here, by one of those Catsimatidis, big stores over here, I forget what they're called, but I'm a block away, on 87th Street, if he wants to come over here and slap me around here [John Catsimatidis was a guest earlier on in the program, and earlier in his appearance, Credico had said he was a lousy debater] but I'm getting on, down to the train station, off to D.C., and I'm going to a wonderful dinner at American University tonight, or outside American University, and then I'm going to the Sam Adams Awards Show [Sam Adams Integrity in Intelligence Award Presentation] - Sam Adams Association is a group of veteran intelligence professionals. And they give out an award every year to courageous whistleblowers, in my view, and to journalists. Tonight, Seymour Hersh, longtime investigative reporter, will be receiving the Sam Adams Award, I look forward to having a five o'clock dinner with him and others.
- DICKER
- Somebody associated with the Pentagon Papers beyond Seymour Hersh is also going to be there. Isn't that right?
- CREDICO
- Yes! Daniel Ellsberg, he's going to give a keynote address. And, on top of that, guess who's going to be piped in from our big enemy, in Russia?
- DICKER
- [laughs] Tell us.
- CREDICO
- Ed Snowden.
- DICKER
- Ah, very interesting.
- CREDICO
- Ed Snowden is going to be piped in. Teleconference. He's going to be introducing...not Seymour Hersh, Daniel Ellsberg will be giving the keynote address, and then we'll be having Seymour Hersh. So it's going to be interesting, Fred. John Kiriakou, he's going to be there. Ray McGovern, who you probably know. He's going to be there. So many others, Fred. It's going to be an exciting evening.
- DICKER
- Does not sound like a line-up of the Heritage Society [he means the Heritage Foundation, a conservative think tank].
- CREDICO
- [laughs] Yeah, Fred, maybe Sean Hannity might be there, because he's been pretty good on this issue, of late, Fred. Better than the liberal media, I can tell you that.
- DICKER
- There's a confluence of left and right on some of these issues in a way that I think startles some people. What's your sense, Randy-
- CREDICO
- Have you ever heard me push Laura Ingraham, glorify- Laura Ingraham's been very good on it. And so is Ann Coulter on some things. So-
- DICKER
- There is that confluence...very interesting. And certainly you're in that category too. Whether it's on the Second Amendment, or on certain free speech issues. You, I think it's fair to say, join with many conservatives in views of valuing and championing the Bill of Rights.
- CREDICO
- The Bill of Rights is sacrosanct, Fred. And a lot of conservatives are better on it - the worst on it, was Obama. Obama was the worst! You know? He was- More people were charged under Obama, under the Espionage Act, than all the previous presidents combined. Everyone thinks he's this big liberal, progressive, pro-First Amendment guy - forget about it.
