(3:05:37 PM) ***Blueshift_North , much later, heads over to the Blackram ship, she sent an email that she's coming.  She knocks on the door.
(3:12:15 PM) Ikiryo: There is a large poster near the main entrance to the ship parked in the Sigil docks. 'Would you like to see the spheres? We're a large, independent organization specializing in passionate acquisition of locally-held commodities. Full Dental and Medical Coverage. Union Supported. Blackram Pirates!'
(3:13:31 PM) ***Blueshift_North stares at the poster as she pages up.  She doesn't want to just walk on (Though she probably could).  "They got a pretty good graphic designer for that." She muses.
(3:17:54 PM) Ikiryo: They really do. It's a good recruitment poster and even has the business number of the group in case you want to contact them. A short, lean girl with two long pigtails (One black and one white) soon meets her out the front.
(3:18:57 PM) ***Blueshift_North turns back to her. "Hey."
(3:22:42 PM) Ikiryo: "So, what are you doing here?" She pouts. "We just managed to get stuff finally repaired from when you were last here."
(3:24:04 PM) Blueshift_North: "To be fair.  I helped you that time. Nothing so dramatic, I don't even have to go inside if you want, but it should be in private."
(3:25:28 PM) Ikiryo: "Fine, we can go up into my office." She leads inside, past large ogres loading goods and a purple-haired engineer North remembers from last time when Cryx was running all over the place.
(3:25:48 PM) ***Blueshift_North waves to her as she follows.
(3:26:43 PM) Ikiryo: She looks up and waves back.
(3:27:12 PM) Ikiryo: Poharan leads to a large loading elevator, it starting to head upwards. "So what is this about?"
(3:27:40 PM) Blueshift_North: ". . . My creation."
(3:29:17 PM) Ikiryo: "Right, the codes you got from me." She nods
(3:31:11 PM) Blueshift_North: "Turns out I was modified further after my inital creation, mostly by a doctor from Cygnar.  Nemo.  And. . . I need to find out why Blackram codes were involved.
(3:31:36 PM) Ikiryo: "Nemo?" She groans in annoyance.
(3:31:56 PM) Blueshift_North: ". . . what?"
(3:34:40 PM) Ikiryo: "That old man? He's an old friend of my grandfather."
(3:37:31 PM) Blueshift_North: "That good of a relationship, huh?"
(3:37:41 PM) Blueshift_North: "Do they collaborate a lot?"
(3:38:27 PM) Ikiryo: "I don't know. Grandfather is generally off doing whatever he wants." She shrugs.
(3:39:49 PM) Blueshift_North: "Do you have a way of calling him?"
(3:42:05 PM) Ikiryo: She nods. "I could." She seems unhappy about the idea.
(3:43:54 PM) Blueshift_North: "I'll owe you one." She pleads.
(3:44:10 PM) Ikiryo: The elevator stops, opening up into a very classic piracy sort of office. Lots of wood, an anchor on one wall and a steering wheel on another. A few ships in bottles around the room. "...and what could you do if I called in the debt?"
(3:45:10 PM) Blueshift_North: "Not act in any way against the Southern Dragons for one.  Computer stuff, smuggling,  I'm pretty good at breaking monsters."
(3:48:04 PM) FeldiPhone [[email protected]] entered the room.
(3:50:57 PM) ***Blueshift_North puts a little extra oomph into the accent, trying to make herself sound like a trustworthy and attractive partner in whatever enterprise this woman.
(3:52:27 PM) Ikiryo: The pirate vice admiral looks away, a hint of blush reaching her cheeks. "Fine!"
(3:52:45 PM) Blueshift_North: "Thanks!" She goes to hug her and pauses.  "Would that be okay?"
(3:53:22 PM) Ikiryo: "...no." She looks like she'd like a hug.
(3:54:03 PM) ***Blueshift_North hugs her anyway.  "Thank you so much, really."
(3:54:44 PM) Ikiryo: She flails, not enough to break the hug though.
(3:56:40 PM) ***Blueshift_North pulls back after a little bit.  "Seriously, thank you so much."
(3:57:56 PM) Ikiryo: "It's fine." She grumps. "I imagine you'll want to talk to him now?"
(3:58:17 PM) Blueshift_North: "I mean.  If that's okay with you."
(4:01:21 PM) Ikiryo: "I agreed to it, didn't I."
(4:01:42 PM) Blueshift_North: "Well like, I more meant if right now was okay with you."
(4:02:37 PM) Ikiryo: "We are taking on supplies, I'm not personally involved with it."
(4:03:58 PM) Blueshift_North: "Suresure.  Lead the way."
(4:05:02 PM) Ikiryo: She stomps her way over towards a communication console.
(4:05:28 PM) Blueshift_North: "You're cute when you're grumpy." She calls after her.
(4:07:17 PM) Ikiryo: "I have a minigun. And giant cats."
(4:09:13 PM) Blueshift_North: "I'm aware."
(4:09:58 PM) Ikiryo: The girl taps away at the console. "Alright, call is going through."
(4:10:56 PM) ***Blueshift_North shifts uncomfortably as she waits.
(4:12:42 PM) Ikiryo: It's a few minutes before a figure appears on the screen. A tall, man clearly in his later years with long grey hair and a lot of muscles for his age. "And who is calling the Best There Is? Is it my wonderful grandaughter?!" His voice echos through the room.
(4:14:08 PM) Blueshift_North: "She's here in the room?"
(4:16:50 PM) Ikiryo: She's currently standing out of line of sight.
(4:17:21 PM) Ikiryo: He stretches, muscles rippling despite his advanced age. "Most excellent! Now, who is this sight of cybernetic beauty before me?!"
(4:17:56 PM) ***Blueshift_North goes and loops an arm around her and pulls her in frame.  "Blueshift North though you might be more familiar with Q-33 North?"
(4:19:45 PM) Ikiryo: "Ah, I thought I knew you!" He laughs long and loud.
(4:20:02 PM) Ikiryo: Poharan grumps as she'd dragged into frame.
(4:20:41 PM) Blueshift_North: "Okay so you do recognize me.  So uh.  I'm trying to figure out some stuff about my construction? What do you know about that?"
(4:21:55 PM) Ikiryo: "Not much! I know a lot about your retrofitting though!" He laughs again.
(4:23:19 PM) Blueshift_North: "Well.  I guess that's sort of what I meant.  Because the person I was before is kind of dead and I'm the one here now?"
(4:25:34 PM) Ikiryo: "I know that feeling. Everyone has several lifetimes, yours is just a bit more literal than most. After all, I wasn't always the Best There Is."
(4:27:03 PM) Blueshift_North: "Oh?"
(4:29:22 PM) Ikiryo: "Of course! To be the champ you've got to beat the old champ! So I dashed the leader of the Whitebeard pirates against his own ship!" He laughs again.
(4:31:24 PM) Blueshift_North: ". . . Cool.  So uh.  I guess the question is what do you know about me.  Or. . . well my ship?"
(4:32:28 PM) Ikiryo: "Not a damn thing about you! A lot about your ship!"
(4:33:02 PM) Blueshift_North: "Well.  I'll take it."
(4:33:18 PM) Blueshift_North: "What do you know about it?"
(4:34:41 PM) Ikiryo: "We found it adrift...a few decades ago at this point, in the middle of a shattered sphere. Couldn't make the damn thing work until nemo suggested that your systems could be tied into it."
(4:35:35 PM) Blueshift_North: ". . . What sphere? What was there before?"
(4:38:02 PM) Ikiryo: "Not a clue. It's been shattered as long as our records show." He shakes his head. "Nemo always theorized it was where the C'Tan came from, which is why we were out there looking at it. Never found out if he was right or not."
(4:40:53 PM) Blueshift_North: "So. . . Do you know about the last password on it?"
(4:43:35 PM) Ikiryo: "What's it say?"
(4:49:33 PM) Blueshift_North: "It was just a password entry screen deep under several layers of encryption that I needed yours, the Cygnar code and then the third party's."
(4:51:19 PM) Ikiryo: "Oh, right. The Dmir guild helped Nemo with it...yeah, not a clue. If that is there, then Nemo likely couldn't crack it himself. Might be C'Tan or Syrne or something." He shrugs. "A lot of that ship is a black box, we just plugged you into it during the refit. Nemo said you needed the extra storage capability."
(4:52:52 PM) Blueshift_North: "To make the omega lock work?"
(4:54:43 PM) Ikiryo: "Yeah, whatever that was. The guy basicly cleared me out on magical materials too. Nearly a decade's worth of the stuff, shoved in your head." He grins. "But I did owe the guy my life...so it happens."
(4:58:57 PM) Blueshift_North: "Well.  Thanks?"
(5:03:13 PM) Ikiryo: "Not a problem! So, what brings you to me now?!" He gives another bellowing laugh.
(5:06:33 PM) Blueshift_North: "Well uh.  Look I'm kind of trying to figure out why I exist? I guess? Also maybe work out how to uh.  Get rid of the thing in my head?"
(5:06:39 PM) Blueshift_North: "I would dearly like to do that one."
(5:08:57 PM) Ikiryo: "I'm one hundred and thirty girly and I still don't know why I exist other than to be awesome. I can't help you with that one." He shakes his head. "As for the latter...eh, if anyone knows it's either Nemo or the girl from the Dimir he contracted. I just provided the materials and the muscle." He grins. "Previous you tried to break my arm. Didn't take."
(5:11:01 PM) Blueshift_North: "Yeah well, she made fun of me because I can like.  Make friends now, and make decisions other than "Let the thing in the box in my head replace me." So fuck her."
(5:11:44 PM) Ikiryo: "You should teach my grandaughter how to do that. The make friends part."
(5:11:53 PM) Ikiryo: Poharan glowers at him. "Grandfather!"
(5:13:15 PM) Blueshift_North: "I mean I guess I'll be doing something with her in the near future since I owe her one for setting this up."
(5:13:58 PM) Ikiryo: "Hell no!" She protests.
(5:14:29 PM) Ikiryo: "That's the spirit!" He laughs. "After all, she's only got 'Vice Admiral' as her title because she's my grandaughter."
(5:14:47 PM) Ikiryo: If looks could kill, him and everyone in the same sphere as him would be dead.
(5:16:08 PM) Blueshift_North: ". . . Oh right.  Do you know where I can get a bunch of Necrodermis? I'll need some for a project."
(5:16:47 PM) Ikiryo: "...that's a rare one. What do you need Necrodermis for?"
(5:17:36 PM) Blueshift_North: ". . . It'll be easier if I show you." She forwards the file to him.
(5:19:06 PM) Ikiryo: "...yeah, I got no clue what this nerd stuff is. Still, I'll put in some calls. Finding old C'Tan creations and stripping them is hard business but I'll see what I can do."
(5:19:44 PM) Blueshift_North: "I can pay for it.  Thank you."
(5:21:41 PM) Ikiryo: "...it will be a hell of a pretty penny to pay for this."
(5:23:29 PM) Blueshift_North: "I have access to a lot of money and I've been investing, so it's been going up.  Plus I'm pretty good at the piracy thing, if you find some and say.  Someone bad has them.  Oops.  I can just happen to them."
(5:25:21 PM) Ikiryo: He laughs. "That's the spirit! Do what you want, freedom is the soul of a pirate!"
(5:26:45 PM) Blueshift_North: "I mean.  That's kind of my endgame.  Get this thing out of my head so I can just go on cool adventures with my friends, for as long as we have."
(5:27:22 PM) Ikiryo: "Sounds good to me! Better than my grandaughter."
(5:27:28 PM) Ikiryo: She pouts more.
(5:28:22 PM) Blueshift_North: "I mean she's been perfectly nice to me." She protests, a little weakly.
(5:29:35 PM) Ikiryo: He just laughs that bellowing laugh.
(5:31:32 PM) Blueshift_North: "Anyway thanks for telling me what you did know."
(5:32:03 PM) Ikiryo: "Not a problem!"
(5:33:33 PM) Blueshift_North: "Anyway uh.  Any questions you have for me?"
(5:33:55 PM) Ikiryo: "How are you? It's been quite some time since I saw you."
(5:35:51 PM) Blueshift_North: "Alright.  I've got friends now.  I've got a bunch of people who help take care of me, to the point where I ah.  Opened the locks in the wrong order.  And am still here."
(5:37:44 PM) Ikiryo: "Fantastic to hear! Friends are a key component of being a pirate!"
(5:38:08 PM) Blueshift_North: "I can get behind that."
(5:39:47 PM) Ikiryo: Poharan pouts. "...proper HR departments...and...unions..." She's grumbling to herself.
(5:40:07 PM) Ikiryo: "Nonsense grandaughter! Friends as close as family are needed!"
(5:42:46 PM) Blueshift_North: "I can kind of see both perspectives because one becomes difficult once an organization reaches a certain size, but like, I'm not really in management so I can't make calls on that."
(5:44:17 PM) Ikiryo: She pouts harder while he just laughs.
(5:46:00 PM) Blueshift_North: "Anyway I guess I'll talk to you later?"
(5:49:23 PM) Ikiryo: "Of course! Call me up whenever! Any friend of my grandaughter is a friend of mine!"
(5:50:49 PM) Blueshift_North: "Cool." She flashes him a thumbs up.
(5:51:11 PM) Ikiryo: He does likewise, then cuts the call.
(5:52:42 PM) Blueshift_North: "He's kind of a lot."
(5:58:41 PM) FeldiPhone left the room (quit: Ping timeout).
(5:59:25 PM) Ikiryo: She grumbles and nods
(6:01:14 PM) Blueshift_North: "Anyway seriously.  Thanks." She hugs her again.  "Let me know when you know what that favor is?"

(6:02:27 PM) Blueshift_North: "As a way of saying thanks? Is that bad? Other people do it a lot and I thought I'd try it?"
