- | QuipTrack 024: In the Name of the King 2 (NTSC) |
- '-------------------------------------------------'
- Feat. Tristan Bowersox McQueen and Tracy Bowersox
- with additional writing by Kevin Bowersox and
- Kelly McQueen
- If You're New To This Sort Of Thing::::::::::::::::::::::::::::.
- | |
- | This audio file is an audio commentary track that is meant to |
- | be played alongside your own copy of the movie. Once it's |
- | synced with the movie, you will hear us making jokes and |
- | adding lines to the movie just like Mystery Science Theater |
- | 3000 used to, back in the day. |
- | |
- | In order to set this up... |
- | |
- | * Make sure you have A) something to play the mp3 with (ie. |
- | your computer, a laptop, an mp3 player) that is within |
- | earshot of B) something to view the movie with (such as a TV |
- | or your computer). We recommend playing the track and movie |
- | on the same computer since you'll have all the controls at |
- | your fingertips, but it's not necessary. |
- | |
- | * Next, play the QuipTrack. You hear us say some (ideally) |
- | funny things and then we'll give you a "Sync Point" and tell |
- | you to pause the track. This sync point will be an easily |
- | identifiable landmark in the movie we're riffing and, as we |
- | explain in the track intros, you'll be unpausing the |
- | QuipTrack in the next step when you see this come up in the |
- | movie. |
- | |
- | * Now you should have your QuipTrack paused at the exact (or |
- | nearly exact) moment after we finish saying the word "pause" |
- | (don't sweat this too much; we'll count you in and if you're |
- | a little bit off, you probably won't even notice). Start your |
- | movie playing via the mechanism of your choice. Be ready to |
- | unpause the QuipTrack at the predetermined point. |
- | |
- | After you unpause and the QuipTrack officially begins, you'll |
- | have several chances throughout the course of the movie to |
- | course correct if it gets out of sync. This is done with the |
- | help of Beeper, a robot who will, every so often signal a |
- | scene change in the movie. When this happens, Beeper will |
- | give one beep to let you know to pay attention, then, exactly |
- | one second later, he will play another, higher-toned beep |
- | that should occur exactly on a major cut in the movie. If the |
- | beep occurs before the cut, pause the QuipTrack for the |
- | approximate amount it was off by. If it sounds late, pause |
- | the movie. These adjustments are usually very small if they |
- | even come up at all. |
