How well do you know the source material?(obviously not relevant if it's a transformation): Pretty well. I may be a khfan but I wouldn't call myself a khfanboy.
Reasoning:  Cacke is a shy, unobtrusive boy who tends to hide in fright and get easily intimidated by the greater powers and aggression of the rest of the ARC crew. Despite all that, he longed to be able to talk and connect with the others without fear, to get along with them and the inhabitants of the worlds they would visit. He never particularly sought strength, or had a desire to 'become' stronger, all he wished for was acceptance. But the injuries his father sustained in the CAGE match against G.G.U.S coming to see Jumbe mortally wounded within a regeneration tank, barely hanging on, Cacke finally sought wished for power. Not a power to dominant and avenge himself upon his father's opponent, but a strength to protect and prevent things like that from happening again, to start his way on a path to being a fighter who could proudly stand by his parents' side, and find a way to end the violent passions of the ARC crew, and temper them for the better.
What is the moment: Witnessing his father's near death state and resolving, within his heart, to try and stop such violence and terror from happening again in his sight. A small step forward on a long and perilous road, but a step Cacke would take nonetheless.
