  1. Bashou had been walking along the city streets. It was another usual day for her, some Shinobi training at Hebijo, some painting during her break time, the usual routine. She'd done well enough in her training and painting, that she felt that it was fair that she go out for a bit of a stroll. After all, how else would Bashou find some new inspiration for any poems? There was always something lurking about in the city that would give her the proper inspiration she so very much craved.
  2.
  3. "Man, what a nice ass!" One boy muttered as Bashou walked passed her
  4.
  5. This was not the inspiration she needed or wanted and so she promptly ignored the young man and continued walking. She was slightly irritated, but she wouldn't let that get her down. The day was far too beautiful for that.
  6.
  7. "Now that there is one thick girl. Thick in all the right places." Came the voice of another person
  8.
  9. Once more, Bashou ignored said person and kept walking. It was irritating to her that so many males would always 'compliment' her in such ways, and she didn't want to hurt them...even if snapping their wrists would give her some measure of satisfaction. But no, that wouldn't be the right thing to do. She may be allied with Hebijo, which is an evil faction in the ninja world, but that did not mean that she had to be a terrible person. So...she swallowed her irritation and continued on.
  10.
  11. Feeling a bit hungry, Bashou walked into a small family restaurant, getting a table alone to herself to enjoy her meal. Of course, as her luck would have it a pair of highschool boys ended up sitting across from her, the two of them shooting her the occasional glance as they ate their food.
  12.
  13. "Man look at her, she's a real cutie!" one whispered
  14.
  15. "Yep, nice hair, cute face, and pretty eyes."
  16.
  17. Bashou couldn't help but smile a bit more as the waitress brought her the food she ordered. There was nothing wrong with being complimented like this, much better then-
  18.
  19. "And look at that butt, she's pretty thick." The other boy whispered
  20.
  21. That sent Bashou's mood into a downward turn in an instant. Truly, would she have to suffer every man making comments on her 'thickness?' Angrily wolfing down her food, she left a generous tip, wanting to escape the restaurant for the time being. Was she really so thick? She knew she wasn't fat, sure she wasn't super muscular like that Daidouji woman of Hanzo (and truly, Bashou couldn't think of any shinobi, male or female as terrifying as her) but she felt she was just right in terms of body weight and the like.
  22.
  23. "Surely I am overthinking things. Perhaps a walk through the park will give me proper inspiration and clear my head." Bashou murmured to herself. She began making her way to the park, but unfortunately she was interrupted by some man wearing a rather tacky suit. It was pink with red stripes and he wore a equally tacky, matching fedora.
  24.
  25. "You're perfect!" He said pointing at her dramatically
  26.
  27. "E-excuse me...but,Perfect for what?" Bashou asked confused
  28.
  29. "We're having a fashion show, as well as it being a contest of which lovely lady is the best of show, you've got the right look to join us! One of our other girls got sick at the last minute, and now we don't have anyone to fill her spot. Come on won't you help us out Miss?"
  30.
  31. Bashou thought on it a moment, it was a weird offer, but one bit of wisdom she'd read about was that you never led an interesting life just by saying 'no' all the time. And besides, perhaps going along with things would give her some new inspiration for her writing.
  32.
  33. "Very well sir, I, Bashou shall aid you in this fashion show."
  34.
  35. "Glorious, come with me, we don't have much time!"
  36.
  37. The next three hours followed Bashou being led into a studio, having makeup hurriedly applied to her and the girl walking the runway with numerous other models to show off a new fall lineup releasing later in the year. The shinobi could only chuckle to herself as she knew for sure her ally Souji would LOVE something like this. Being able to show off in front of a crowd of people and receiving their admiration was something she knew Souji loved very much...well not as much as she loved herself, but you get the idea. Everyone especially loved the swimsuit part of the show, which Bashou managed to keep herself composed through, even if she was blushing up a storm on the inside.
  38.
  39. "And now everyone, it's time to declare our best of show!" The announcer declared bombastically "And your best of show is....!" He let the sentence hang in the air a bit to help build up some tension.
  40.
  41. "THE LOVELY MISS BASHOUUUUUU!" He shouted to thunderous applause.
  42.
  43. Stepping forward, Bashou happily accepted her reward, a wide smile on her face. A trophy was handed to her and a tiara placed on her head, she stared out at the crowd and her competition who all happily clapped for her, this moment of elation would forever be etched into her mind.
  44.
  45. "And here's your winner folks! A girl with the perfect poise, grace, and the perfect thick body! This is your new fashion queen!"
  46.
  47. Everyone continued clapping, but Bashou's smile portrayed an ever growing malice. Again with the thickness? Was that was this really was? Some kind of 'thickness' award. What even was this thickness anyway?! Bashou managed to keep it together long enough until she was back in the changing room, angrily throwing off. the tiara and setting down the trophy before putting her school uniform back on. She'd done things so fast, the director of the event couldn't find her to try and get her to sign a contract with him.
  48.
  49. He would receive a nasty poem a week later within his bedroom, it calling him a manner of cruel words, but with no name, leaving him completely baffled on who'd he'd angered in such a way.
