PERSONALITY .
+ Short tempered = At times, Saebyul can get very easily angry and even the smallest comment could set her off and make her snap. When she is in her erratic or angry state, very little can calm her down and she usually needs to be left alone. She often cannot control what she says or who she lashes out at, at times insulting or hurting the people she cares about.

+ Closed off = She struggles to let people into her circle and tends to suffer in silence, not wanting to burden anyone with her feelings. She prefers having a small circle of close friends but she does like to branch out here and there. She hates being vulnerable as she thinks people would unfairly judge her.

+ Blunt = Saebyul and censoring just do not mix. She always has to say what is on her mind and she can come off as quite candid in nature. She sees no reason behind beating around the bush on things and figures she might as well just say what she wants to say. She basically has zero filter and is very unapologetic about that.

+ Self reliant = Saebyul does things to better her own cause, this is because she doesn't really ever see people fighting in her corner. She does things that from an outside perspective are terrible and selfish but for her was a necessary thing to do. She is willing to do a lot in order for her to succeed in life.

+ Apathetic = She struggles to empathise with people and this makes it hard for her to cheer people up when they are upset. She tends not to show any enthusiasm or interest in others unless she truly cares about them. She tends to also be quite unresponsive to things that usually excite interest or emotion in other people.

+ Stoic = She is not a very emotional person and tends to accept what is going on around her if she can’t easily change it. She is generally not a very warm and welcoming person, she is more cold and distant.

+ Unpredictable = She doesn't think before she acts, often making rash decisions with no proper thought behind them. She says or does things that may hurt people just because of a rush of anger. It is very difficult to tell what she is thinking and what she is about to do so it is best to be wary with what you say or do around her as she won’t hesitate to lash out at you.

BACKGROUND .
Saebyul was born and raised in Hongdae, South Korea as an only child. She lived with both her parents. She was born as a result of a drunken hook-up and so neither of her parents wanted the responsibility of a child but their parents were not willing to help. Her home life wasn't the greatest but she was getting through it.

When she was about 6 years old, her mother was killed in a hit-and-run. It was a case of wrong place wrong time. Although they were not very close at all, it still hit Saebyul really hard and it took a while for her to get over it. Whatever love her dad had for Saebyul completely disappeared after finding out the news. Every time he saw her, he only saw his wife. Her father once again tried to look for a family member to take Saebyul in but again they all refused saying he was stupid enough to have a kid in the first place so he should bare the responsibilities.

Although he allowed her to stay, she had to fend for herself. She cooked for herself, shopped for herself, did everything she needed to do to survive whilst he stayed in his room or stayed out until the early morning with friends. She was often home alone and struggled and since she had no siblings, she had nobody to share her struggles with.

He would often invite women home with him, not caring if Saebyul was home or not and so she would have to just stay in her room and put her headphones in just so she wouldn't hear what they were most likely doing.

Saebyul wanted the love and appreciation from her father. She sought validation from him as he never showed her any sort of love. She would do anything just to get a tiny bit of validation or just a bit of praise but no matter what she did, it was never enough.

Saebyul believed that getting good grades would be what would do it for her and so she often does things that not even her friends know about solely to get a good grades. She sleeps with teachers in order for them to raise her grade and fortunately for her, it has worked and so she continues to do it. Despite this though, her father is yet to show her any praise.
