Hector Vernon: Collaboration

Fresh from an examination period, Hector, still adorn in his Plague Helm, ebony cape, and Yokai Maile, still stained with blood splatter, rested himself by a slender long table, a butler patiently awaiting orders from the opposing end, granted none of the such. Hector was moreoff dedicating himself to removing his helm, to inspect it-- As though to sift for imperfections, damages, and so on.

Finally, there was the detail of Soothe that seemed to radiate off of his apparel, from the strong granulated dosage he transmuted into gas, still spawning a sickening scent, with traces of Nightshade oozing from his personage, albeit miniscule in comparison to the dosage neccessary to negatively affect a human being.

"Hm?" He turned over, placing the helm upon the table, leaving glacier hues to settle upon Ashley, "Ah, so you've made it." He acknowledged, "Great... Good.. I am in need of your assistance." He started, "You see, I've begun taking my studies to the next level. I'm intending of developing an artistry that will... Change the way people perceive of the aquatic element." He briefed--

"Through my transcendence into sanguinamancy, and practice into the Naturamancing medical procedures within Valmasian textbooks here in Byson, I've theorized that the... 'Element of Life' or 'Nature Magic'", he dubbed, "-and 'Blood Manipulation', when merged, can and practiced, can manipulate not simply one's bloodstream, but flesh wholly!" He finished, evidently piqued on the subject.

"Imagine... Being able to not merely manipulate masses of water nor blood, but -CREATING- bodies of flesh, that, when interwixt with the magical element, can manifest Blood without draining the vitality of the weilder? Think of the possibilities..." He continued onward...
"Imagine, being able to play God." He drawled on, "To be able to become the first alchemist to create... Life." It was likely to show, that during his alone time with the numerous tomes presented to him from Byson's vaults, and library, that he had plenty of time to come up with easily laughable ideas, however, as far-fetched as some could find it, the expression on his face, the tone of his voice, took no denial into question; Absolute determination consumed his facade.

"And that is why I called you here, Ashley... I need your help, with your research thus far, I wish for your to aid in the acceleration of such magical breakthroughs in the field of science."

"Sanguin.... mmm. Blood magic... though, I will assume not normal blood magic, and... nature? Well... That would be... something I guess." she said, starting... thinking. "...The theory behind it sounds somewhat right. If one was able to utilize the sort of 'growth' of nature magic towards a flesh and living being, that... would do it." she started

"...There's plenty of possibilities and potential to this, one could theoretically create... most things. Many things. Limbs that aren't so artificial, but simply regrown. Organs or other parts of the body that are damaged or someone might die from the issues could be replaced, or even externally aided until replacement was possible... by most cases, just the very subject alone, not even requiring to create more than flesh, would be groundbreaking changes..." she started...

"...Though, it gets... muddy and iffy once you get to the subject of creating life itself..." she said... pulling out her journal and sighing. This wasn't exactly the field and subject she was researching herself, but... "...There's more to just creating a 'life' than just creating a body. Somewhat. A curious and still... not fully understood portion from what I've learned and can figure is the soul. Likely, and bluntly put? Anything we'd artificially create would be... soulless. At least, with just the information here you're saying. A soul itself would likely require... more than just flesh and blood." she started... continuing on with a sigh, towards a final, more... personal topic.

"What's more, even ignoring obvious difficulty to be had, is the subject of... well, to be blunt, necromancers among other things. I'll be quite blunt. If someone was to be capable of this, and also was a necromancer... this could have some rather drastic implications. The main 'issue' of necromancy, is that it only permits one attempt, The body's circuits are destroyed beyond repair afterwards... if this is successful, I'm almost certain, they will come looking for ways to do this themselves..." she warned...

...Before simply sighing and shrugging, looking to Hector... "...And yet, the idea sounds good... a bit insane, perhaps impossible, quite improbable of working any time soon... but I'm in." she said, looking to her journal and flipping a few pages. "...If we're to start making life, there's a few routes one could attempt this. The first is one that doesn't innately have a magical circuit of note, a non magi... hmm, homunculus, if you will. Artificial life and creation... alternatively, the creations, if we can get them past the issue of a lack of 'soul', or even just a sufficient means to draw mana... could, I suppose, be based upon human and most animal ciruits... or a similar magical circuit pattern of that of mimics." she said simply and bluntly, already flipping through and showing Hector a full and complete mapping of a human body's mana circuits... "...At least, that's my current theories for such a step..."

"Ah?" Hector chimed, listening in to Ashley's theory, taking note of it, and relishing in the idea that another was willing to partake in his strife, albeit, he found himself hung up on the idea of Necromancy. The idea of being capable of mending a soul back to a body was indeed a brilliant practice to him, even if they were reverred to atrocious and vile entities that blatantly defied the lifestream. If they could merge souls to vessels, couldn't they mend souls to his artificially created vessels theoriezed prior?

He pondered on the question, nodding at the possibilities in silence, all-the-while, hearing the reguritated theory, broken down form another's perspective and re-iterated to ensure not only that both parties understand the subject, but that the possibilities of certain aspects of the artistry and practice, the complications and conflicts that could arise, and the suggestions that were brought up.

"A... Homunculus." He uttered to himself, stroking at his chin with his only arm. "I suppose life is more complicated than flesh and blood... " He mumbled, leaving his mind to settle upon the topic of necromancy-- Though, it was likely to be an ill-advised idea for the time being.
"But, to digress from such to speak on the matter of circuits.." He shifted, "How would one pen such circuits into a system?" He queried, "Wouldn't it take energy magic? Or Runic knowledge? Or is it natural only within those with a soul? What would one be, without a soul to begin with? A dead husk?" He questioned.

"Wouldn't this entail the absolute necessity of Necromancy, improperly labeled as 'Manipulation of the Dead' to manage with the Soul Transference process, and force souls back into full fledged bodies with fully operating circuits? It would be a perfect ressurection in said case..." He assumed, "Though, the magic is strictly taboo amongst most lands, illegalized and downright labelled ill-moral in the perception of some."

"...But perhaps it is a sign, the very essence of Depravity, is simply a negation from such ascension. Perhaps it is just means of the lifestream, in which we truly have no complete understanding of." He started up, "Perhaps, 'Manipulation of the Dead', is key, to the 'Recreation of the Living'. He concluded, "You stated that someone will come looking should they find out about such," He referenced, "Well, perhaps we will need that said personage to ensure this practice is complete... That... Or I've.. Completely digressed from my initial goal..." He seemed to falter in his flow, falling back to ponderance.

"Perhaps I am going on to a topic without true linear growth, jumping aorund blindly amongst a topic I lack true comprehension of." He babbled, "To practice the forbidden arts of Necromancy" He self-ridiculed, "...It seems as though I haven't thought my theories through entirely..."

"There's a lot of methods towards circuits, I suppose if it was needed one could build a system or artificial set of them one way or another... But most anything that has a soul will have circuits though, even non-magi. That said, vampires lack that magical presence, yet still 'live'... so to speak. So it's not like there isn't any data or the like stating such creatures would strictly require mana or a soul. It just is something to keep in mind." she started.

"And this won't require necromancy. My concerns... are more towards, well..." she started... before sighing. "...Suppose you have a corpse, and this magic. The flaw of necromancy, is that one cannot raise the corpse again, because their circuits will be damaged beyond repair." she started.

"...If however, the necromancer in question only used an arm, and just... regrew an entire body, with circuits prepared and aligned properly, and it still counted as the original's flesh and blood... it would allow them to get around their little 'limit' on this. Hell, enough skill, and it wouldn't be out of the question to possibly even just repair the original body's circuits once more... possibly. I have yet to examine the remains of an undead that has fallen again...." she stated....

"The flaw and 'tie' to necromancy isn't so much that it is needed... more I would be worried that necromancers would certainly vie for such a magic. To get rid of their one typical 'restriction' they might normally be left with in an undead. I assume you've heard the rumors of Jetniss, the hero of frostvale and all, being revived and fighting in the city. Imagine if there was no limit to how often a necromancer could bring back someone... This is obviously worst case thinking, but... well, later. We can worry about how 'secure' this magic would be once some progress is made." she sighed.

"...This isn't necromancy in itself, don't worry about that. But... I won't lie. Likely? It may draw upon some similar processes. Some methods and styles of necromancy utilizes means that may be relevant... and if mimics are any indication, the creation itself might not be so 'accepted' in life, and turn out depraved. There's many, many questions and possibilities on how this can go... But don't put it on the subject of Necromancy as is yet. There's plenty of good that may come from this, depending on what is to be found..." she reminded him...

"...In addition, there is the potential that... well, I don't fully get the way mimics do it but... I mean, creating a soul in itself doesn't seem compeltely impossible anywway." she finished as a sort of offhand comment...

The news of the current events in Frostvale was indeed a good example of how Necromancy could be abused when used in combination with the theorized Biomancy he had in mind. Perhaps Antibiomancy and its counterpart were simply supposed to reside at opposing sides of the spectrum, for the catastrophic consequences that could follow, should they ever make it into the wrong hands...

"Mimics are an oddity, to even I." He admitted, "But they are indeed proof that methods exist." He spoke up, with some upbeat in his tone.
"So, Necromancy is not absolutely required to create life... But this leaves me to wonder on the more basic... Fundamental methods of mankind." He went on, gaze drifting away from Ashley, in hopes of searching for more apt means of addressing his point of confusion and conflicting theorism.

"Natural Reproduction." He spoke out, turning back for Ashley, "How does such lead way to the construction of a soul? How are both bodies and souls manifested prior to spawning into this world?" He queried, "If such is possible through the.... Union" He dubbed, "Of Mother and Father, couldn't both a soul and Body be molded by magi hands rather than the internal systems of reproduction? Or rather... A recreation of said reproduction systems in a specialized matter? Would such, allow one to create life, fully equipped with souls?

Though, one would have to imagine means of ensuring such fleshy fabricants craft said life in the image and stature, completely under the volition of the operating magus... " He stopped to pause on the entire idea, "Then leaves the entire conversation as to the purpose of such creation... Such would digress too far from the topic at-hand given time." He assumed--

"For now, I need to commence the search for viable material to be utilized for the actual creation of carnal masses..." He narrowed his gaze upon Ashley's hues, "I intend on having several parties sent out to sought out new materials that could be of use, of organic material to aid in the project I intend on starting... As of the recent, prisoners on death's row have been redirected to the Tuboxen Company's holding pens... Indefinite Indentured Servitude. " He noted, "If need be, any and all potions, to be tested for further development are to be used on them rather than yourself." He rose up to his feet, reaching for his plague helm upon the counter before him.

"As for now, I must get going to a few errands. The reason you were called here will arise soon enough, thus appropriate accomodations have been made for your stay, transportation, and so on... Consider this.. Something closer to a promotion." Unable to shake her hand without dropping his helm, he gave a bob of the head with a smile, prior to making his leave.

"We're in need of more magus employees. With more of those, transition into this attempt will be much smoother, so I intend on making a public announcement on the matter." He finished. "If all goes well, you may find yourself a place on the board." He offered, "Prior to earning a few recommendations from other notable employees."
With that, he finally made his depart, but not prior to hearing out any final regards.

"Well, that's just the question then isn't it?" she asked, sighing and shrugging, having no answer how a soul was made... thinking. "...I've got someone I can perhaps ask. I'll look into that later..." she muttered... sighing and shrugging. simply nodding to the reports and statements Hector was saying towards new developments.

"Right... well, if I happen to come across anything else on the subject, I'll talk to you then..." she mused simply... sighing. Her looks far more 'miserable' than before, but.... simply waving quietly, and not drawing attention to those things, waving. "Well, I'll see you around too then, Hector..." she said... letting him leave first, and she'd head out soon after too...

...Off to... well, wherever. She didn't have a place in mind as of yet....
