He normally wears a suit of some kind with a blue/clack/grey hue, and even when he isn’t working, his clothes have the same colour scheme, and are usually very simple. He has a scar on the inside of his left arm, which he rarely reveals the origin of. He has no birthmarks and is considered “oddly” pale.

BACKGROUND : Kyung-Taek grew up in a luxurious, and privileged life. However, he rarely went a day without being scolded, chastised, and reminded of how his grandparents and parents worked into the early hours of the morning, in order to provide for their family, and how they built their empire from dust. He was taught to be thankful, and to never take anything for granted.
The one thing that Kyung-Taek missed, however, was the outside world; other people. He was homeschooled, and felt a strong sense of hypocrisy from a young age. If he was supposed to not take anything for granted, why couldn’t he be taught with the others? IF they were people working to build their own empires from dust, why couldn’t he be amongst them? He asked repeatedly, but never got any answers. Reluctantly, he chose to ignore the places where the family’s ethos didn’t quite join up.

He didn’t meet many kids his age, growing up. There were a few other rich kids he was allowed to meet, but he didn’t like many of them because of their stuck-up ways. He only spoke to one person, a kind-hearted yet odd kid, who wasn’t interested in the family business or the next conference meeting. Although their meetings were short and sweet, that one kid helped shape Kyung-Taek, and turned him away from fraud, and influenced him to think of the less fortunate people that he had forgotten about when he was younger.

With his days being mostly filled with business and legacy plans, Kyung-Taek often found himself bored. He was interested in lots of things; architecture, photography, art, music. But his parents, father especially, claimed to not see the point in having other hobbies, as he was FAR too busy to think about anything else other than his inheritance. So Kyung-Taek decided to take some time out, go on a walk. That walk changed his outlook on life, as it turns out, because he met the most important person in his life. There they were, on the corner of the street, so untamed and ragged yet beautiful. He approached, cautious as to not frighten them away. Then, he knelt. Because the most important person in his life was going to be this stray kitten, an odd mix of Persian and Siamese, yet the most wonderful being Kyung-Taek had ever seen. And thus, begun his dear love of cats, and anything to do with cats.

Then, as life was going well, disaster struck. His father was killed in a drive-by shooting after a stand-off with another company, and his mother was put into jail for conspiracy and fraud. He was the only one of his family who escaped detainment, as he was completely unaware and un-involved with the business fraud. He was suddenly thrown into one of the most influential position’s in the company, the only person who was his superior was a distant cousin or somewhat; the only person in the entire family tree who was eligible by blood, age and degree to run the company.

Due to this, Kyung-Taek is still doing a further business degree at university, and will take over as head of the company when he has finished.



✧ 16:50 — WHO HATES TO WORK? ✧


PERSONALITY :
“Cats are great. They don’t talk about useless things. Or do them.”

Kyung-Taek, in the nicest way possible, isn’t much good at human interaction. Due to his isolated childhood, he never really got to know other people, so his “people skills” were never really developed. Nonetheless, he tries his best to fit in with “average” people, and is determined to learn the ordinary common slang and culture of the 21st century. However, this normally ends up in him embarrassing himself, as he almost always uses slang incorrectly.

In a positive light, he’s hardworking and determined to the point of being stubborn. He has a strong sense of justice, even if he doesn’t always know how to act on it. He always seems cold, angsty and unemotional on the surface, but after you get to know him, he relaxes into this chill guy with a love for cats and a fascination with doughnuts (i am british and i will spell doughnuts like this and no-one can tell me otherwise).

In all honesty, his cold persona comes from the sudden loss of his parents. As he was never really told how to process and deal with his grief, he ended up internalising it, and putting on a strong front as he didn’t want to seem weak. Because of this, he has a lot of internal trauma he rarely talks about, and it takes someone he deeply, deeply trusts to open up even slightly.

On the outside, Kyung-Taek comes across as bossy, high-strung and even robotic. In reality, he’s quiet, mostly serious and extremely awkward. Although some people tease him for it, his closest friend is really his cat, as she is the only being that he fully trusts. Some people say they hear him talking to her, and she talks back. But those are just rumours, right? (stan kard)

So, all in all, Kyung-Taek may not be the best person. But he’s a good person. Although he doesn’t know how to show it, he has so much love in his heart for those who work for him, and those who he speaks to on a day to day basis. If only there was someone to show him how to truly love.

HOW WOULD THEY REACT TO MC RESETTING AFTER THEIR ROUTE? : In all honesty, he’d be heartbroken. He’d be broken that someone he’d spent so long with would leave him so quickly. After a while, he would be able to come to terms with it, and he wouldn’t be angry or jealous, but he would definitely by upset. It would most likely break him as a person, if someone he loved and trusted left him.
