  1. ok so we all know lucid cant code worth a damn and because of that the game ended up with some terrible and honestly legendary bugs
  2.  
  3. list your favorite ones here with a brief description and whether lucid fixed it or not, and we will add it to our collection on this very post

  8. in-game bugs:
  9.  
  10. **jailer/gator:** bug where jailer and gator are forced to veg if they jail each other on the same night (active)
  11.  
  12. **voodoo/bleeder:** if voodoo hits bleeder successfully, every message they send after the one containing the voodooed word triggers the message "You start to bleed..." and/or "(player) feels a chill and falls to the ground!" (active)
  13.  
  14. **driver/mason:** if driver drives mason with another mafia or themselves, they can allow mason to successfully convert a mafia without dying (active)
  15.  
  16. **chandler candles:** bug where, although the role can still hand out candles, they dont actually do anything even though they are supposed to let u see on dark days and let u see who visits u at night (active) (thanks to space)
  17.  
  18. **spurned lover:** if bride proposes to someone and the proposed dies before responding, they can spam reject them forever (active) (thanks to artic)
  19.  
  20. **failed robo-resurrection:** bug where necromancer or resurrectionist tries to resurrect a cyborg that has just converted someone, but fails since theyre out of charges. even though the robot doesnt actually come back to life, they can still be killed again. (active) (thanks to space)

  22. **broken vote-kick:** bug where the daytime vote-kick can sometimes (and seemingly at random) break if a player has a day action and vegs, trapping everyone else in an endless game (active)

  24. **asso gun bugs** (cause theres like 10 of them):
  25.  
  26. - asso can gun non-meeting maf and the gun functions like normal, basically giving non-meeting maf a free gun to kill any random townie with impunity (active)
  27.  
  28. - asso guns completely break in double mafia games bc the code only registers if the target is "mafia" or "town," and doesnt differentiate between red maf and black maf, making them unusable (active)
  29.  
  30. - deputy cant kill asso at all, not with their own gun or any other (active)
  31.  
  32. **sore loser** (three flavors):
  33.  
  34. - if gambler gambles loudmouth, LM immediately outs the culprit that same night and basically f*cks them over (active) (thanks to oprah)

  36. - if gambler gambles granny, they die instantaneously and their death message appears during the night (active) (thanks to space)
  37.  
  38. - in a more general sense, gambler taking action causes every role with a night action to take their action immediately, outing gambler to pretty much everyone (active) (thanks to furansu)

  40. **headless cult:** if cult leader is masoned and doc'd the same night, or is made the target of a mason by driver, CL will not die and will successfully be masoned, leaving the cult without a leader and all still alive (active) (thanks to oprah)

  42. **free buffet** (two flavors):

  44. - if werewolf eats correctly on the same night that virgin is lynched, they gain a free immunity although the person did not die (active) (thanks to oprah)

  46. - if werewolf correctly hits bleeder, they also gain a free immunity although bleeder doesnt die and instead begins to bleed (active) (thanks to reamix)
  47.  
  48. **lazy cupid:** although the role description says that cupid has to pick two people to fall in love n1, the game doesnt actually force them to do it on that precise day, meaning they can wait until the very end of the game to do so (active) (thanks to filko)
  49.  
  50. **mimicking third party:** if mimic mimics certain 3rd party roles, instead of turning into amnesiac as theyre supposed to, they can sometimes just become that role anyway. unclear what the criteria is for this to happen, but my guess is that town-aligned thirds can be successfully mimicked, while neutral or hostile thirds cant (active) (thanks to filko)

  52. **guiser/bride**: if bride proposes to a guised person and the guiser rejects the proposal, no rejection message appears at all (active) (thanks to sheffrey)
  53.  
  54. **lazy bomb:** if the person holding the bomb is shot during the day, the bombs counter still continues ticking as if its still in play. this means that town is forced to wait for the bomb to go off to move onto the next day, and as the bombs timer is 100% random, it can often stretch on longer than the day itself. on some occasions, if the bomb explodes after everyone has voted, someone will have to unvote and revote to get the game to register that the day has ended (active) (thanks to aquarius & filko)

  56. **hard-partying jailer** (two flavors):

  58. - if jailer/gator jails someone on the same night that party host throws a party, jailer will attend the party but the jailed wont, leaving them alone in prison (active) (thanks to aquarius)

  60. - if jailer/gator gets cheffed the same night that they jail someone, the jailed remains in the meeting alone, while the jailer/gator is trapped in a "limbo" of sorts, unable to interact with either meeting (active) (thanks to rezi)
  61.  
  62. **lost in the sauce:** if queen bee honeys an amnesiac or a mimic, the amn/mimic wont convert to their new role all the way - they will still appear to themselves as amn/mimic, but will gain the powers from the taken role while still being able to amn/mimic a new person. if done repeatedly (i.e. the queenbee continues to honey the same person every night), amn/mimic can take on the powers of multiple roles at once and still be able to gain new ones the next day (active) (thanks to succinct & luis4rod)

  64. **unlucky lyncher** (two flavors):
  65.  
  66. - if lyncher is on bleeder, they are unable to win due to bleeder not dying from the lynch, but rather, starting to bleed instead (active) (thanks to awesomeyetdangerous)

  68. - if lyncher is on gallis, they are unable to win due to gallis being popped by minority vote, not majority (active) (thanks to awesomeyetdangerous)
  69.  
  70. **suiciding:** we all know this one - if someone suicides from a game at all, there is a high chance that the game itself will break, preventing anyone from voting or doing their day actions and forcing everyone to vacate the game. this generally only breaks the game during the day, but can rarely break it at night
  71.  
  72. lucid has tried and failed many times to fix this bug, but it happens seemingly at random with any sui, so no one knows exactly what causes it (active) (thanks to reamix)
  73.  
  74. **double guiser:** in games with multiple guisers, if two guisers happen to guise the same person at once, they will simultaneously guise the target, being able to speak for them at the same time. unknown what happens if the target is lynched, but one can assume that both guisers die (active) (thanks to 123emils)

  76. **baby driver:** not a bug so much as a huge oversight, but drivers ability overrides almost every form of protection in the game, as demonstrated by driver-mason. driver kill can pierce through a doc save, and can also create a headless cult by driving mason with CL. while it doesnt technically count as a bug, its clear that this is not an intended design choice by lucid, as it can give mafia a massively unfair advantage by abusing the games code. to date, the only role known to be unaffected by driver kill is gingerbread man (active)

  78. **double maf impostor:** in a double maf game, if either team has a mutineer or mastermind, both mafia meetings will be anonymous, even if the other team doesnt have either role (active) (thanks to filko)
  79.  
  80. **long will:** bug where, although regular wills have a text limit, forger wills do not, meaning that forgers can paste text of any length into someone elses will and the game will register it (inactive - fixed)
  81.  
  82. **toreador/amnesiac:** if toreador visits amn, amn will automatically become a toreador themselves, making 4 mafia (active) (thanks to dooze for submitting and thanks to hima [ME!] for unwittingly discovering this LMAO)
  83.  
  84. **maid/mimic:** if maid maids the mimic on the same night that a mimic mimics someone else, the mimic goes through as normal, but the maid takes the mimic role, removing the maid role from the game (active) (thanks to space)
  85.  
  86. **double mafia double guiser deluxe:** ok so this one is really confusing and hard to understand, but the gist of it is - in a game with double guisers on separate mafia teams, if the guisers try to guise the same person, one of them will not guise (seemingly at random) and will stay the same. this can also cause the guise system to break and not allow them to pick anyone. in a barely understood random chance, the game may break so thoroughly that one guiser will become guised as the other guiser, while the other guiser will die and be in the graveyard with the guised, meaning that both the guiser and guised will appear as the same name.   88. **angel/witch:** because angel qualifies as a self visiting role, witch on angel will always kill the angel, no matter if theyve used their protections or not (active) (thanks to sheffrey)

  90. **mutineer/heartbreaker:** if heartbreaker seduces mutineer the same night that mutineer kills heartbreaker, they will inadvertently kill themselves as well. due to the way maf and mutineer win conditions work (maf must have majority, mutineer must be last man standing or one of two final players), this can lead to a mafia/mutineer joint win if maf and mutineer are the last two roles alive, which is by definition impossible, since mut's entire purpose is to kill off all mafia.   92. **bad acting** (three flavors):

  94. - in a double mafia setup, if the red mafia's actress takes another role and dies, the role icon will still have the red dot next to it, denoting that the role has been actressed and basically ruining the entire purpose. (active) (thanks to filko)

  96. - almost identical to the former, if the red mafia's butler is killed/lynched, they will appear blue as per their role conditions, but will still have the red dot next to their name, giving them away (active) (thanks to leepich)

  98. - once again, if a member of the red mafia is tailored and then dies, they will have a red dot next to their icon regardless of their given suit (active) (thanks to leepich)

  103. here is my understanding of the circumstances of this highly specific bug: if mimic mimics maid at the exact same time that maid maids another role, maid will appear to be the maided role, but will actually become blue. this removes the maided role from the game completely, and creates two new maids - the former mimic, and the maided role. this is only revealed upon the death of whoever retains the original maided role, as the person who has the role will see themselves as such, even though they are actually blue.   105. **angel/supervillain:** in a game where angel is assigned to supervillain and is also the supervillains nemesis, supervillain and angel can both survive to the end of the game and still both win. this is inherently antithetical to supervillains win condition, which requires their nemesis to be dead by the end of the game.   107. **queenbee/priest:** after getting honeyed by queen bee, the next day priest will receive two of the same message, but neither will mention the queen bee visit (active) (thanks to dooze)

  109. **mimic/party host/mason:** if mimic mimics party host on the same night that they are masoned, although they will appear to themselves as mason, they do not attend mason meetings and can still throw parties (active) (thanks to space)
  110.  
  111. **selective blindness** (two flavors):
  112.  
  113. - if a player dies while blinded, they will continue to be blinded in the graveyard, unable to see lynches (active)
  114.  
  115. - if theres a troublemaker lynch on the same day as someone else is blinded, the blinded player wont be able to see the first lynch but can see the second (active)
  116.  
  117. **yakuza/butterfly:** if yak yaks on the same night that butterfly dies, the yakked player appears to themselves as mafia, but in actuality retains their old role because the butterfly action takes priority over yakuza (active) (thanks to rezi)
  118.  
  119. **maid/anarch:** if maid maids anarch and the maided anarch gives out a bomb, the bomb will reveal the maided anarch instead of killing them, showing them as maid (active) (thanks to shaii)

  121. **lonely mutineer:** if mutineer is the last hostile role in the game, the game doesnt seem to understand how to handle it and forces mut to wait until after the kick to progress, likely because there is still technically a mafia meeting, but there is no one to vote in it since mut does not vote in mafia meetings (active) (thanks to nocash)

  123. **tailor/celebrity:** despite the roles description stating the contrary, celebrity actually IS impacted by tailor, and will show up as the suited role upon death (active) (thanks to oprah)

  125. **long live the king:** if king dies to a gun during the day, town is unable to lynch, since kings ability means that only their vote matters, rendering everyone elses inert. this occurs whether or not the king has voted, and can only be circumvented if everyone in town votes the same way (whether they vote to lynch one person or vote to nl) (active) (thanks to icebear & luis4rod)

  127. **sheriff/amn/medusa:** if sheriff shoots medusa and the amnesiac amns medusa the next day, the sheriff will have been turned to stone and the new medusa can successfully crumble them, likely due to the game considering the gunshot a "visit" although it happened during the day (active) (thanks to luis4rod)

  129. **hunter/don standoff:** if hunter gets lynched in a game with a don, the don is able to override the lynch and overturn onto someone else - however, the hunter is also still able to target and shoot someone of their own choice. as a result, the hunter will not die, but the hunters target and the dons overriden lynch WILL die. in the case of the overriden lynch being tinkerer, the hunter will receive the gun in spite of having nothing to do with the death (active) (thanks to filko)

  131. **bumbling sidekick:** in a game with a sidekick, if the sidekicks 3rd gets maided or mimicked, the sidekick will still have their meeting with the original 3rd party, but will no longer win with them (active) (thanks to yoyoyorlozer)

  133. **tracker/jailer:** in a game with both tracker/scout and jailer/gator, if tracker tracks a jailer who is currently jailing someone, tracker will visit the jailed person, but if tracker tracks a jailer who has not jailed anyone, the jailer will appear as having visited "undefined," which counts as a visit to the game (active) (thanks to leepich)

  135. **snowman/gambler:** if a player hits gambler with a snowball, supposedly role blocking the gambler, gambler will still be able to visit and kill like normal (active) (thanks to leepich)

  137. **whistleblower/troublemaker:** if a player is whistleblown on the same day as a troublemaker lynch, they cant vote in the first lynch, but they can in the second (active) (thanks to hima aka ME!)

  139. **yakuza/angel/martyr:** ok i have no goddamn clue what happened here but heres what ive gathered - in a game where both martyr on yak and angel on martyr save their respective targets, the game doesnt seem to understand how to handle the situation, and force-ends the game with mafia winning, while also removing all of the players (see it here: https://i.imgur.com/Q0NJqSm.png) (active) (thanks to serra)

  141. **nomad/supervillain:** if supervillain is on nomad, and nomad learns the way of the village, the supervillain will still win if nomad also wins with town (active) (thanks to sheffrey)

  143. **eternal stalemate:** in a game with multiple maids or multiple sidekicks, if everyone but the maids/sidekicks die, the game is locked in a stalemate, as the role cannot win on its own, forcing the maids/sidekicks to lynch each other. eventually, the last maid/sidekick standing will have to lynch themselves. because the game does not know how to handle zero players left alive, the win automatically goes to mafia and/or any thirds.   145. **brute force warlock:** in a game with warlock, warlock can choose to vote nl instead of choosing a potential lynch target. if town actually votes nl, warlock will receive a +1 to their wincon, meaning warlock can simply vote nl all game until town does it twice, giving them the win (active) (thanks to leepich)

  147. **monkey/insane cop:** if monkey monkeys an insane cop, the monkey'd report will be sane even though insane cops reports are obviously not supposed to be. its very likely that this also applies to other cop roles (confused cop, paranoid cop, naive cop) as well (active) (thanks to leepich)

  149. **discount ouija board:** in a graveyard game with mourner, mourner can only ask one question for the entire game, although the role description states that the role asks a question once per night. mourner text is also completely uncensored, unlike the in-game text (active) (thanks to leepich)

  151. **vegging governor:** if governor does not vote in time and gets lynched, when given the prompt to ot, they are unable to do so and have no choice but to veg, thus breaking the game (active) (thanks to leepich)

  153. **warlock/troublemaker:** if troublemaker causes two lynches during the day, and the second lynch is on a person that the warlock has selected, warlock does NOT gain points from their death and gets no benefit to their wincon (active) (thanks to leepich)

  155. **social distancing toreador:** in spite of what the role description says, toreador does NOT count as visiting when they force a player to visit them. they also only alter the first night action for a player; if the player has more than one night action, the other actions are not affected (active) (thanks to leepich)

  157. **gingerbread/clockmaker:** if gingerbread man and clockmaker visit each other on the same night, clockmaker does not get time added to their clock - instead they simply eat the gingerbread man, with no mention of the extra life gained from doing so, and receive a bread regardless if theres a baker or not (active) (thanks to leepich)

  161. **technological snitching:** glitch where the lobby wall will reveal that ur friends are on an alt by showing them "offline" (meaning not on that account), but wont specify which one (active) (thanks to oprah)

  163. **why is this even allowed:** bug where you can make forum threads on the lobby wall even though ur in game and shouldnt be able to do anything else (active) (thanks to banime)

  165. **haunted by the past:** glitch where old messages that went unread are still counted as "unread," even though the messages themselves are inaccessible and cant actually be marked as read (active) (thanks to hikineet)

  167. **the consequences of bad font choices:** oversight in the design of the site itself. because lowercase l and capital I look identical in lucids font of choice (arial, i think), its entirely possible - and common - for "parody" accounts to be made that are functionally identical to the original, and with the only differentiating factors being user number and karma/kudos count
  168.  
  169. this can cause a massive problem if the person doing the parody breaks any violations and gets reported; an inattentive mod or reporter can end up giving the vio to the actual user who is innocent (active)

  177. - on the flip side, there are occasions where leaving and joining games repeatedly can lead to them breaking; if one were to leave a game, join a new one, leave that one, and then join another in rapid succession, there is a chance that the game will break for that person and seem to have filled when it was still open and had more player spaces left (active) (thanks to leepich)
