- [DONE] teddy: we were able to change the memory of a running machine with xen CLI so the memory of the vm is not the same as the deployment file. If for any reason the host crashes after rebooting it we have our vm in unknown state so we run onevm restart but the vm comes back as if we did not modified the resources, why is that? when is the checkpoint file saved?
- [DONE] teddy: when generating a deployment file for a vm and I set a disk to it that has a OS and set the property CLONE=no it still copies the disk file to the host, what is the utility of the CLONE property?
- [DONE] teddy: is there a way to change the copy algorithm that ON uses when deploying a vm. Because we use OS with disk that can grow dinamycally so when first installed the OS it only uses like 1Gb but it can grow up to 10Gb, when deploying it ON copies a 10Gb file that takes way to long, does anyone has a solution for this?
- [DONE] lazarus477: On the subject of restarting a VM. What happens to data store locally on the VMs virtual disk when the command "shutdown -r now" is issued in the VMs console?
- [DONE] lazarus477: Subject: Transfer Manager, LVM specific. Why does .../tm_commands/lvm/tm_ln.sh contain a line invoking .../ssh/tm_clone.sh instead of .../lvm/tm_clone.sh ? This is also a reported issue: http://dev.opennebula.org/issues/691
- [DONE] lazarus477: Subject: How to think when managing VMs. When managing VMs, should we look upon the task as performing File Management on a Desktop, is there a relation such as do not hit Delete unless you want to wipe out your data.
- [DONE] lazarus477: Subject: Rebooting VMs. How do admins today issue a reboot command to a large number of VMs, say 100 VMs. Do they use tools such as puppet and or hand coded scripts to login to each VM and perform a reboot?
- [DONE] lazarus477: Subject: noVNC from Sunstone. Is there currently an issue such as http://dev.opennebula.org/issues/757 preventing noVNC from working propperly on 3.0 beta2 (2.9.85) ?
- [DONE] ffeldhaus: one question regarding the installation of noVNC. Do you plan to bundle the installation of noVNC with the installation of Sunstone? e.g. have noVNC automatically installed?
- [DONE] lazarus477: "/usr/lib/ruby/vendor_ruby/1.8/rubygems/custom_require.rb:29: command not found: /usr/share/one/noVNC/utils/wsproxy.py/utils/wsproxy.py 35790 mserver:5914"
- [DONE] lazarus477: Subject: Updating base images. Would it be possible for you to outline such a senario, how it would be typically performed in OpenNebula?
- [DONE] lazarus477: Subject: VM Names. I notice that when creating a VM and specifying a name such as "MyVM", the actual name used acoording to "xm list" will be something like "one-14". Is this right or is it a bug? Sunstone and onevm list show the name as "MyVM".
