  86. Background
  87. Serai was once an advisor to a king of a lost city, buried beneath a desert. He used to be alive too, but those days are almost forgotten in the tomb of secrets that is Serai's rotting corpse.
  88.
  89. In his day, the city of glory that Serai took so much pride in had plenty of his kind around. Glorious bird people of every shape, color, and size. His own feathers was a lovely pattern of purples and blues, which accented his deep blue eyes quite well. He was loved by his people for helping the king along a path of peace during times of war... He even negotiated a treaty with their hated enemies, the Occultists, and their world ushered in peace for a time. Unfortunately, the swines betrayed the kingdom and massacred everyone by performing a dark ritual that essentially absorbed every bird person in an attempt to revive Myrkul, the God of the Dead.
  90.
  91. They chose him specifically because he had grown suspicious of the cultists, and they found out. Naturally, they kidnapped him.
  92.
  93. The survivors were deformed, several having lost limbs, despite how little they were in number. For Serai however, he had disappeared days before, captured by the cultist scum and tortured until death, and then cursed with undeath through the souls of his friends and family. The ritual fortunately failed, as it barely lacked the required sacrifice, along with the Crown of Horns.
  94.
  95. In his new life, he was forced to leave his lands, wandering aimlessly and working for hire in search of a way to be revived so that he may attempt to revive his dead, and deformed race to their former glory, if possible. He vowed to never let anything of such a magnitude catch him off guard ever again
  96.
  97. This brings him currently to the expedition of the Mercenary Guild, hired by the men to blow air into their sails for faster travel! He retained his silver tongue from life fortunately, aiding him even in his undeath despite his hideous appearance. It has helped him stay alive in his undeath, and travel apparently with ease due to the need for people to blow air into sails.
  98.
  99. Appearance
  100. His feathers have dulled to a range of
  101. colors from ash to black, besides the fact that most of them are falling out. His rotting flesh clings to his bones, outlying them rather well where there are no feathers. His skull is visible, and the once blue eyes full of life are now black and beady, and devoid of happiness.
