THE EPIPHANY

Covet: Cadence came out of the bathroom down the hall, needing to pee before coming into the cheer gym. Walking down the hall to the door she opened it up and went inside.// Kelsey was already in there, standing in front of where coach was, scuffing her boot along the floor. // Coach Nevaro was in there, dressed in some swanky get up , because she had a date tonight, sure sounds interesting. Pfft. "Hello Cadence. Kelsey. We're just waiting on three more."
Tsaaq: Hayley walked down the hallway in her workout clothes, assuming that's what would be happening. She entered the gym and waved. "Hey Coach. Hey guys." She smiled as she greeted the other girls.
Covet: "Actually, I'm pretty sure that Steph's not going to be here. She's had a rough few days with herself and things." Cadence said standing there with her arm wrapped around her to hold the other one." She looked over when Hayley came in and gave her a wave. // Kelsey frowned hearing the information about Steph, " I hope she's alright."  She smiled at Hayley, "Hey!" // Coach waved Hayley in with  a soft smile of her own, nodding her head at Cadence's comment. " Alright, That's sort of what this meeting is about. I'm going to assume that Dori won't be here either, for whatever reason she has this time." Araceli waved her hand to stop herself. "Anyways, I know at the beginning of the semester this year I spoke to you all, letting you know that if any of you need , any special accomodations during this time,  I completely understand. I'd much rather you all be taking care of yourselves mentally, right now."
Tsaaq: She rose rose her eyebrows and nodded her head. "Wow, thank you coach." She said softly. "But I don't plan on losing momentum because of this. I've already given it too much of my time." She sighed. "I mean... I guess this week has been kind of hard but it's not that bad."
Covet: "Yeah, thanks. It's had it's ups and downs for me, but like Hayley said, I don't want to lose any more momentum than I already have lately." Cadence said // Kelsey bit the inside of her cheek, feeling guilty about how normal her life actually felt lately.  " That's really admirable of you both." // Coach Nevaro nodded her hand, "I appreciate that level of commitment Hayley, all of you. I intend for next week to go  according to plan. You're more than welcome to stay here and practice anything you'd like, but tonight I figured I'd give you a freebie. As you can see I had some unexpected plans come up, one of those things that's once in a life time. So Let me add that If you need to talk to someone, for school, cheer, or anythng else related, Don't hesitate to talk to me. Email or face to face."
Tsaaq: "I'll be sure to let you know Coach... Have fun?" She said with a smirk. "And again. Thank you." Hayley inhaled deeply. "It means a lot hearing you say that."
Covet: "Thanks again. The support is appreciated." She said swallowing then looked at the mats Then back to coach. "Go enjoy yourself then, We will see you next week." Cadence waved her hands. // Kelsey gave a soft smile, appreciating their coach's response to this, then laughed when she said she had plans, "Good Luck!" Kelsey added. // "You're all very welcome, and Thank you for the extra encouragement. Take care and don't forget to prop the door if you need to leave and come back." She told them then made her way out for her hot date.
Tsaaq: She gave Coach Nevarez another wave then turned to the other females. "Did you guys want to stay and do practice shit orrr?" She asked with a raise of her eyebrow as she stretched her arms out.
Covet: Cadence hesitated as she looked at the mats, "I can stay for a little bit still, but I probably won't be doing anything over exertive. I haven't been feeling that great lately, and I don't want to make it worse by flipping around the floor." // Kelsey looked at Hayley and grinned, "If you want to stay, I'll practice with you. Bradley and Connor are out shopping for something for me, and I can't get home early because they'll accuse me of snooping."
Tsaaq: "We can do some stretches to start then." Hayley shrugged. She went to sit on the matt as she extended her leg. "By the way, it's a good thing you didn't see the trial yesterday. It was a travesty."
Covet: Cadence looked between them and sat down kicking her boots off, starting to stretch out with them at least. "But you did good given how he blindsided you." Cadence said then yawned as she leaned over to grab her foot. // Kelsey frowned listening to them both. "Has that how it's all been? Or has it been better?" She asked them sitting down to get stretched out with Hayley.
Tsaaq: Hayley sighed a shook her head. "That was pretty embarrassing. I didn't even remember all that." She pursed her lips and leaned forward. "I mean. Steph's testimony was great. Cadence did her best. I started out okay but then Thad's lawyer brought up that I had slept with him before..." She trailed off.
Covet: "Yeah... It's so up in the air right now. The fact that he even brought that up to use like that was ridiculous. I'm still mad about it." She said, "But I think we're still in good standing comparitively. Hopefully Anderson can return the favor tomorrow." // Kelsey furrowed her brow, "Was it before or after... the kidnapping?"
Tsaaq: Hayley stood up when she was done stretching and sputtered her lips. "After the kidnapping. When Tony broke up with me... And Ben was gone." She answered with a hint of shame as she lowered her head. "I'm sure he'll do something. Thad will be on the stand."
Covet: "After hearing the things he said to you, and all of that happening, with the state you were in, It makes sense that would happen. It's something documented in psychology. The fact that Marty completely ignore's that part of the situation." Cadence scoffed. // Kelsey frowned, "Don't be ashamed of it,  you were doing what you thought was best for you. Nobody is going to hold that against you."
Tsaaq: She exhaled and began to frown, wringing her hands. "Well... I didn't think it was best for me. I was lonely and I felt gross and nobody wanted me." Hayley answered quietly. "But Mr. Goldstein didn't ask me any of that, did he?" She sighed. "It's okay though... Has anybody noticed that through out the trail Thad's looked... Kind of bored?"
Covet: "No of course not, it wouldn't have helped his client." Cadence said looking at her then nodded, "Yeah, I'm not sure if it's a good thing or a bad thing. It comes off like he has no remorse for what he did." // Kelsey opened her mouth and raised her eyes, "Really? That's kind of scary." She whispered.
Tsaaq: Hayley shrugged. "I don't know, is that he doesn't feel remorse or he's kind of just being paraded around. He turned himself in after all. He knows he did bad stuff. You saw the video." She said. Her eyes widened before she went over to Cadence and smacked her shoulder as a sign of her realizing something. "His brother. Our civil case, the monies. Wyatt doesn't want to have to pay us monies!" She shouted. "We have to tell Mr. Maverick!"
Covet: "Yeah, You're right..." Cadence jumped when Hayley smacked her, clearly a little out of it. "What? You think so?" She asked then thought about it. "It's not like Thad's going to be able to pay that much with his job, or while he's in jail, so I guess it would default to his family."She bit her lip and reached into the pocket on her shirt to pull out her phone so she could send Remy a Text. // Kelsey put her hands to her mouth, "Isn't his brother famous too? I can't imagine any of this is helping his reputation, regardless if it wasn't him." she pointed out, understanding that much with her own experience.
Tsaaq: "It's his brother. Thad doesn't know that lawyer guy. He's Wyatt's lawyer or something. I saw him and Wyatt come to the house a few times. Going through his stuff, looking for shit." Hayley said hurriedly. "Wyatt is famous, he just did a song with that rapper with a fat ass that came out. Perez Hilton talked shit about Wyatt on the first few days of the trial on his website. Imagine what the nice people had to say." Hayley said in one breath. "If the jury thinks Thad is crazy and isn't held accountable they he won't have to pay us for our pain and suffering. Wyatt is just as evil as Thad!"
Covet: "Holy shit Hayley... Seriously? I haven't been following any of that shit... This is what we need to blind side him back! I'm already messaging Sedrick, I'll relay all of this to him." // Kelsey was a little lost but she knew the social media scene could be hyper critical of people and it could easily  break you down as fast as it builds you up. " The apple doesn't fall far from the tree. Do you think Thad would rat out his brother like that?"
Tsaaq: Hayley scoffed loudly. "Are you kidding? Thaddeus doesn't like his brother! He loathes him. He's the oldest, everybody likes him, he's famous. He's the yin to his yang and he's hated himself for it. If anything that would be the way Marty could use Thad's insanity clearly his family has an unjust boner for his just as horrible brother." She explained, using her fingers to list off everything. "Anderson will know what ask tomorrow. The jury will see." Hayley said softly. "Thad's just a pawn, like we all are in Marty and Wyatt's game."
Covet: "Sedrick says he's on it. Holy fuck this feels so fucking good. I was starting to feel like we were screwed." Cadence said giving another yawn. " Fuck being a pawn, We're busting out our knight now. I think I don't really know how to play chess." She said with a laugh . // Kelsey put her hands together, "I'm going to be praying my butt off for you guys, You have more than earned this justice."
Tsaaq: Hayley rose her eyebrows at Cadence and shook her head. "Yeah you don't" She laughed. "Thank you Kels. I think we're going to be okay... I think we're not going to get a lot of cheer things done tonight haha." She laughed.
Covet: "No, but I we got stuff accomplished in other areas." She said with a smile. " I think I'm going to call it a night and get some sleep. I feel exhausted. But I'll see you tomorrow at the courthouse, Hayley." She told her as she got up and stretched with another yawn. // Kelsey gave a shrug, "It happens, Coach said we had a freebie anyways. But We can get together on like, wednesday or something and do things?"
Tsaaq: She began to laugh. "I'll be there." She laughed as she pulled Cadence into a hug. "And that sounds like a great idea Kels. We'll text." She smiled. "I should head back to the OCH myself. Get some rest."
Covet: "Good. Get home safe, Sis." She told her as she hugged her back, then headed out to get herself home so she could do the sleep things. // Kelsey grinned, "Great sounds perfect. Sleep well both of you!" she told them as she too made her way back to the dorms.
