  1. Ismor, as a whole.
  2.
  3. Ismor is composed of three greater islands, and numerous smaller ones. Keep in mind, that, Ismor is not wholly explored, due to the many dangers of the outside world.. So even if there is a pretty good overall idea of what awaits you out there, do expect the occasional surprise. Don't expect the reports to always be correct either, and always be wary when venturing outside of the territories described here.

  5. Here's a handy map: http://imgur.com/a/yDIqk
  6.
  7. (It is known, to Magi and those working with them, that there are in fact, other formations, such as the Land of Sacrifice, Phoenica, or the Lost Continent of Zeris, greater than what can be observed in the above map. Even with these findings, large parts of Ismor are as of yet undiscovered).

  10.
  11. Astolte.
  12.
  13. Located "above" the other two isles, Astolte is an overall peaceful plot of land. It happens to be the location of the city of Milune, where 90% (maybe more) of all current Magi, have gathered. Astolte is quite large, about 2 times the size of Australia, and is most accurately described as "potato-shaped".
  14.
  15. To the west, Astolte is graced by a small number of sandy beaches, and then a thick rocky font, progressing into vast, forested lands (mostly coniferous). Said lands are spiced with numerous hills, the occasional mountains, caves and lakes. Milune is located around the very center of this area. Further to the east, the weather grows colder, and as one makes for the other side of the continent, snow capped mountains, and fields of pure white are not so uncommon.
  16.
  17. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  18.
  19. Giaris
  20.
  21. Some miles from the southwestern side of Astolte, lies the much smaller (about a third of the size) Giaris. It is easy to see how the two could have been a singular landmass. If one moved Giaris closer to Astolte, their shores would match almost perfectly. This zone where the two places match looks as if it has been "chowed off" of Giaris, making it look like a bitten cookie.
  22.
  23. Giaris is really rocky, and generally hostile to life. It's western side is a small desert, with very few oases, and multiple plateaus, that seem quite isolated from one another. This desert covers mostly the southwestern and central western portions. The rest of Giaris is mostly mountains, tall, and steep, and quite humid as well. Very few rivers, and only two notable lakes are found in Giaris, as well as little to no meaningful greenery or civilization.
  24.
  25. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  26.
  27. Valcroft
  28.
  29. East of Giaris and south of Astolte, Valcroft looks like a 'J'-shaped continent, about two-thirds the length of Astolte, and at most, four fifths as wide as Giaris. The shapes of it's shores are quite wavy and jagged looking, unlike the straighter shorelines found on the other two islands. It is also, compared to the distance between Giaris and Astolte, quite further away from either.
  30.
  31. It's climate is generally warm, corresponding to the one of central Astolte for most part, except for the shores, where it is surprisingly chilly. As a matter of fact, an odd mist seems to encroach around said shores, yet does not reach within the land. Valcroft's interior is mostly flat, with lots of plains, some forests, meadows, and multiple rivers going through. Towns, villages and plantations are common, as the Elevated Republic of Torbis, has made this island it's territory.
  32.
  33. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  34.
  35. The Serpent's Tears.
  36.
  37. An archipelago of islands, located west of the main trio, and in terms of geographical latitude, between Astolte and Valcroft. Mostly of no interest, filled with wild fauna, with the few exceptions of the occasional prisoner colony, or Torbisan outpost, they are the closest piece of land to the trio of bigger islands. The Serpent's Tears are composed of 37 islands, of varying sized, but at most, they are make it to about the size of Belgium.
  38.
  39. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  40.
  41. Maldrobog.
  42.
  43. The Fortress of Darkness. The origin of all that is impure. Many names serve to describe Maldrobog, a vast, tall bastion of stone, located far into the sea, surrounded by a maelstrom and guarded by many, many ranks of beastly familiars, Tainted creatures, as well as undead. What transpires within is unknown to living beings, and most of the servants of evil and Taint do not know much of it either.
  44.
  45. The Destroyers, are the only currently known entities to have access to the inside of the fortress. The entire complex seems shaped like one giant cuboid, although closer reports say that it's sides are angled, and the entire structure seems to be thinning, the higher one goes. So it's more like the frustum of a square-based pyramid. Other than it's shape, and the fact it's entirely black and floating off the surface of the ocean (with said massive maelstrom beneath it) no other traits can be observed.
