- Its best to keep ~3 cells behind the natural and main mineral lines to allow for anti-drop harass buildings, as well as to avoid photon cannon spots. Some players like to hide tech and upgrades behind them as well.
- If a player is going to spend that much time removing the mineral wall, they're not going to be super happy that their two geysers are going to be extremely exposed from a terribly long rush distance. https://i.imgur.com/C1bADAX.jpg
- Beyond that, the map just becomes a Standard/Macro map, and doesn't utilize the mineral wall feature much at all. The map has quite a bitof dead space, and some odd proportion issues scattered around, such as narrow pathways in the corners and by the siege point showed in the picture above.
- The name Sand Rush also implies to players that this would be a smaller map.
