19:05:21: JackHammer clears her throat.
19:05:23: <JackHammer> After everypony got all the hugging out of their system and got over the fact that Desert_Lightning and Lemon Juice were saved by sea ponies, the group began to question the improbable savior. That's when the sea pony Cold Tide explained that they were 'the saviors' according to sea pony legend. It would have been more impressive if the requirement for being the saviors was
19:05:23: <JackHammer> something more significant than just arriving in a metal ship.
19:05:29: <JackHammer> As for why the sea ponies needed saviors, their legends told them they used to be normal ponies like their saviors, but somehow they got turned into sea ponies and could only be turned back by passing through a gate. After some confusion, our heroes found that the sea ponies lived in an underwater town beneath the island called Calamari where the gate was.
19:05:34: <JackHammer> If the legends were true, the saviors would arrive in their "floating iron" (metal boat) and go onto the island to open the underwater gate that would allow the sea ponies to pass through it and become ground ponies. Remember that verbiage kids; it'll be important later. Regardless of any doubts about the accuracy of the legend, the ship was stuck and needed spare parts, so it
19:05:35: <JackHammer> was time to visit the island!
19:05:41: <JackHammer> A sea pony named P. Star did not seem to approve of this adventure but offered no trouble. Our heroes made their way to the island on one of the lifeboats - yay for outboard motors! Patchy exchanged info about dry land for information about the sea pony home; it's a lot more boring than Disney would have you believe. Also, making foals happy is usually good, but Miss Tiger,
19:05:41: <JackHammer> sea ponies do not do well out of water. Ooops.
19:05:47: <JackHammer> The island turned out to be more of an installation rising up out of the water in a dome, like a ball floating on the waves. Two pony skeletons on a dock were par for the course in the Wasteland, but in the middle of the ocean, they were not a good sign. Oh lookie, the symbol for Solaris! Understandably worried, our heroes opened the door, but not before Patchouli traded the
19:05:47: <JackHammer> brushable doll for seashell figurines and a luck charm.
19:05:52: <JackHammer> Wheee! Who doesn't like to be greeted by a pair of Solaris sentrybots? Apparently our heroes didn't because they sprang into action almost before the bullybots finished their threat. Desert_Lightning proved that a dunk in the ocean didn't hurt her amazing sniping ability at all, and Rose_Bud is quite possibly the most awesome foal ever for making an equally hard shot.
19:05:59: <JackHammer> With both bullybots blinded, Miss Tiger ran around to the rear of one and bucked it with all her might, damaging it badly. Light_Seeker actually fired a few shots, but her lack of enthusiasm for firearms hampered her aim so that only one hit. Not to be outdone by anypony, Cali thoroughly perforated the other bot with her gun rendering the threat neutralized.
19:06:07: <JackHammer> Cat wanted in on the fun too and decided now was a time to prove that she could make a difference. Take it from Miss Tiger, Cat truly is a dynamite lover! Tiggy had actually kind of expected that reaction hence why she'd gone behind the robot thinking it might give her cover from the blast. Silly tiggy! Those bots aren't anchored to the floor - they're on wheels! Miss Tiger
19:06:07: <JackHammer> got to feel what it's like to be the nut in a nut cracker.
19:06:13: <JackHammer> Fortunately, she wasn't too dinged up for Patchy to mostly heal. Others were mad at the Cat for using explosives in a cramped space, but Miss Tiger blamed herself for failing at simple physics. Also in the aftermath, weapons were looted, a turret was smashed, Cali was zapped, and an alarm was set off activating security measures. Pink rays teleport - good to know!
19:06:22: <JackHammer> Turns out said teleportation is out over the water near the dock - a lucky break but best not to think of those guns as truly non-lethal for a number of reasons. Also unicorn hax has been disabled - oh noes! And the first of several audio logs was heard explaining why Cali, Cat, and DL were teleported rather than being turned into fish food.
19:06:30: <JackHammer> Speaking of fish food, Seeker didn't tell anypony what was in those sea food packages. Perhaps she's waiting for the right moment? Anyway, there's still more logs to listen to as the game resumes.

19:17:31: rose_bud continues to paddle in a little circle just outside the entrance. Teleporter turret was superfun!
19:18:20: Cataclysm listens quietly to the log file then glances towards the door, "I guess that explains the remains outside." frowning a little bit. They didn't bother to put some way to identify friendly targets into the turrets? Really? Was the person building these things drunk at the time, or just stupid?
19:18:36: Calibrete looks at the terminal. "So... Think this thing also has Balefire Sweeper?"
19:19:18: Desert_Lightning places himself directly beneath the entry way. "I think I can shoot this turret out before it gets me."
19:19:57: Calibrete looks over at Desert. "We could also just chuck you in the beam until its battery dies."
19:20:30: Desert_Lightning looks at Calibrete with a blank expression. "Ha ha ha."
19:21:22: <Calibrete> "Speaking of that, what happened to our adorable canon fodder?"
19:22:15: Cataclysm rolls her eyes then sighs with a shake of her head, turning her attention towards the terminal, "Don't suppose that thing's got any other recordings on it does it?" ear perking slightly at Calibrete's comment, "Who? Buddy? I think she got teleported outside too. ... You don't suppose she doesn't know how to swim, do you?"
19:23:13: JackHammer ponders the question of the zappy thing. "Um...who says the ray is battery powered? It's probably tied to main building power. I mean, that just makes sense, right?"
19:23:20: Desert_Lightning looks at Cataclysm. "Odds are no, or Bud's just being a foal and dawdling around."
19:23:27: Calibrete shrugs. "Everypony can do the pony paddle. Well... /almost/ everypony." A slight nod is given in Desert_Lightning's direction.
19:24:01: <coGM_Chor> 3A familiar seapony swims in circles around Rose_Bud, appreciating the lax moment. "Hey Rose_Bud, is everything going alright in there?" Sushi says, "What are the other dirt ponies doing?"
19:27:30: <coGM_Chor> 3The terminal apparently only had that one audio log in it of the guard pony being slaughtered by the turret, the other section is password protected.
19:29:04: Patchet invest investigates the terminal some more. "ALways good to double check these sorts of things.

19:29:10: Calibrete pokes Patchet's flank with a hoof. "You. Can you use your... Sciency mumbo-jumbo on it? This wasn't covered in the 'Ranger's Guide to Pillaging.'"

19:30:31: Cataclysm shakes her head, raising a hoof to her muzzle. A Steel Ranger who didn't even know how to use terminals? Heaving a deep sigh. And these were the ponies who claimed they'd save Equestria's technology.
19:30:37: rose_bud "There were some robots and then a big BOOM! that hurt my ears and then Patchy and Light started walking funny and then Miss Bear vanished and then she came back!"
19:30:49: <Patchet> "Hmm maybe if I cut this wire here, and that wire there. . . That should do it I think. Somepony got a knife I can use?"
19:31:33: Desert_Lightning hands patch a knife
19:31:47: Calibrete turns to Cat. "Don't look at me like that! I know plenty of science! Just not enough to crack a baby as tough as that."
19:32:11: rose_bud treads water for a moment. "Hmm... I should probably get back to them. ByebyeseaponyIlikeyourtail!"
19:32:30: JackHammer notes, "I can crack the terminal if that's what you want, but then so can Cali's gun."
19:33:39: Cataclysm snickers a little and shakes her head, "I don't think they want it to crash, sweety."
19:33:46: Calibrete leans over Patchet, almost seductively. But then again, almost everything she does is seductive. "Here, maybe I can lend a hoof..."
19:34:54: JackHammer sits on her rump with her forehooves between her hind legs. "Crash? But it isn't going anywhere, is it?"
19:34:55: <coGM_Chor> 3After some fiddling and rewiring, the terminal gives access to the security settings of that part of the compound. The password, amusingly enough, was "Security".
19:35:17: Patchet looks at Cali awkawrdly and thens says "Umm. . . Sure hold these." Levitating some wires for Cali to hold onto.
19:35:51: <Patchet> "Huzah! The hacking has been doubled!"
19:36:17: <coGM_Chor> 3A number of options open up to the user, including robots, turrets, and other options. Robots can be reconfigured with this program... by hooking them with a convenient connection cable, that is dangling underneath the terminal.
19:36:35: <coGM_Chor> 3The doors command could open the main airlock... but that's useless, now that it's stuck.
19:37:17: Cataclysm heads towards the doorway, peering out in the hall again. She's careful not to actually step outside, mind. Looking up towards Desert Lightning, "Guess we should have a backup plan, hmm?" Given how poor the technology in this place had been so far, she half expected trying to turn the guns off to make them explode or something.
19:37:43: Patchet looks for a way to shut off the magic dampener. "I need my magics back."
19:37:49: <coGM_Chor> 3The turrets options, however, seem to be accessible, /and/ useful. With that, you should probably be able to get the turret into reboot, so to render them harmless for a few seconds.
19:38:25: Calibrete pokes Patchet... Repeatedly. "Hey. Hey. Hey. Can you take out the turrets? Hey Patch. Hey. Hey. Can you? Patch? Patch?"
19:39:11: <Patchet> "Shush Cali. Smart ponies are working right now."
19:39:27: Desert_Lightning points a hoof at where the turret would be. "Yeah, just gonna go out there and blast it." Hearing the comotion he turns towards Patchet and Calibrete. "Don't reset them and then make em lethal again!"
19:41:05: JackHammer considers everything going on around her then comments, "I like DL's idea."
19:41:23: <Patchet> "Cali can you be a dear and find something that sounds like it's making the humming sound of magical energy and smash it good for me. anything but this terminal and the lights. It might glow and make you feel funy if you get near it."
19:41:35: Cataclysm ponders that a moment, tilting her head to one side then the other, "Ofcourse the door probably won't close properly, otherwise I'd suggest just tossing some dynamite inside and blowing the entire turret to bits. Don't even have to go through the door to do that, after all." peering down the hallway, "But if the door won't close that'd mean putting all of us in danger
19:41:35: Cataclysm too."
19:44:01: <GMimezinga> 13usually, military grade bases are well defended and energy field generators are well hidden, but this is a research facility, built by Solaris inc... so yeah, the ceiling is fake and it's easy to notice from a couple of broken panels that the cables and al lthe maintenance stuff is simply hidden from the group by a thin layer of foam
19:45:26: Calibrete grabs a piece of junk laying on the floor. Weighing it in her hoof, she then chucks it at the ceiling in an attempt to revel the STFU emitters.
19:47:01: <GMimezinga> 13half of the ceiling starts falling on the group while 2 hundred years old plastic start dissolving and revealing a lot of cables and weird machinery: louspeakers, sensors and off bule orbs pulsating with an eerie light
19:47:38: Calibrete looks up. "Found 'em."
19:47:58: JackHammer covers her head mainly to keep dust and grit out of her eyes then she stares up at the blue orbs. "Ooooh, pretty!"
19:48:31: rose_bud trots back to the group, absolutely drenched in water. Her mane (grown long as a side effect of the GB ray) is plastered to her face, revealing only a giant, cheerful grin. "Hai everypony!"
19:48:48: Cataclysm hacks and coughs, covering her mouth with a leg to do her best not to inhale the plastic and suchlike. Shaking herself to get the dust off her coat as best she could, "Welcome back Buddy. Have a nice swim?"
19:49:08: Light_Seeker hugs Rose_Bud "Hey Rose."
19:49:23: <Patchet> "Well need to cut the main power cable to the security system that should end this mayhem."
19:49:37: <Patchet> ((We'll))
19:50:41: Calibrete picks up another piece of junk. "But I /like/ my plan!"
19:50:42: Cataclysm waves her hoof infront of her face, "Couldn't you just shoot the emitter thing? Wouldn't that turn it off?"
19:50:45: rose_bud "Yes I did miss Kitty. Aww, Light, now you're all wet!"
19:51:43: Calibrete looks at Cat. "Do YOU want to play the "Guess which wire powers the emitters and which one powers all the lights" game?"
19:51:45: Desert_Lightning looks at the ceiling. "Could we climb through that space?"
19:52:41: <Patchet> "Yes but Light and I would still be under the effects of the emitters."
19:52:42: <GMimezinga> 13and, i almost forgot, there are the usual ginormous air vents
19:53:07: <coGM_Chor> 3As the panels are getting pummelled, the speaker emits the voice of a cheery mare: "Hello ponies, this is -BIANCA SOLARIS-," the last part was jarringly robotic, "CEO of Solaris Inc. and I wish to inform all inhabitants and visitors that structural damage has to be paid in full by the offenders, /plus/ they will be legally prosecuted for their actions. ..."

19:53:47: Desert_Lightning flaps up and looks into the air vents.

19:53:51: Cataclysm rubs behind one of her ears, "But the emitters are right there." pointing up at the odd blue orbs, "Right? I mean, that's what Patchet said it'd look like. So just... Ya know... Shoot it or something." looking up at the announcement, now she was just confused.

19:54:32: Light_Seeker still hugging Rose_Bud not caring if both of them were soaked "So where did you go?"

19:55:18: JackHammer fears no pre-war legalities and gauges the distance from floor to ceiling. Probably too high to jump, but why assume?
19:58:47: <Patchet> "Hey Rose would you mind shooting those glowy orb things in the ceiling. The ones that aren't the lights."
19:59:25: <Calibrete> "HAVE a pegasus. One who flies."
19:59:33: rose_bud looks at Light_Seeker. "I went for a swim! It was superfun and I met Sushi again, and that's why I'm so wet!"

20:00:16: Desert_Lightning wwho is already flying says. "I'm already up here."
20:00:41: JackHammer gathers herself like a tiger preparing to spring then launches herself straight up into the air, batting at the blue orbs.
20:00:56: rose_bud nods at Patchet. "Err ok Patchy pony, but Desert_Lightning will have to move out of the way first."
20:00:57: Cataclysm shares a glance towards Jackhammer. Ah the innocence of youth. "Could you smash those glowing dome things?" she waves a hoof at them, "I'd do it myself but I'd rather not risk falling over or-" cut off by Jackie's sudden leap.
20:01:31: <Patchet> "Ah well then Desert can you smash them. I'd like to have my magic back please."
20:04:01: rose_bud claps her hooves together to applaud the Tiger's leap.
20:05:05: JackHammer swipe-swipe-swipes at the blue orbs but misses and falls back to sprawl on the floor. She picks herself up, stares at the blue orbs with her tail swishing in annoyance, then gathers herself and leaps again. "Mrowr!"
20:06:04: Cataclysm backs away from her leaping, kicking girlfriend. Not that she didn't love her special somepony very, very much. But she didn't much want to be standing under her when she was coming down. Jackie was sweet, wonderful and loving, but she was also heavy!
20:06:19: <GMimezinga> 13the orbh explodes sending parks in every direction, while the unicorns can feel their magic coming back again; jackie, on the other side, feels the kiss of 50k watt electricity
20:08:55: JackHammer lets out a yowl as the room is filled with the scent of burnt horse hair...and roasted chicken with garlic and basil. Go figure! The slightly crispy mare fwumps back to the floor, stunned.
20:09:06: Cataclysm rushes to Jackie's side as soon as she's back on the ground, "You should be more careful doing things like that! You could get seriously hurt!" or seriously hurt somepony else, but she wasn't going to say that now. Not that her words would necessarily reach her marefriend anyway.
20:09:10: <Patchet> "Watch out for the. . . power cable. . . Nevermind."

20:11:00: JackHammer ish not hearing Cat. What she hears is more a sort of 20ft. underwater type of sound with similar levels of murkiness.
20:11:03: rose_bud "Ooo Fireworks! And-- ah! The lights!"
20:11:44: Cataclysm blinks, groaning quietly as the room fell into darkness, "Well I guess we could always hope that the lights and the weapons systems drew power from the same grid?" Not that she expected to ever be that lucky. Softly nudgling Jackhammer to hopefully get her up and moving.
20:11:54: Patchet face hoofs.

20:14:18: Desert_Lightning lands on the floor, coughing from smoke inhilation
20:14:58: Patchet use her magic to illuminate the room. 'is every pony okay?"
20:15:15: Cataclysm coughs as well, groaning a little bit, struggling to get Jackie up and on her hooves, "We'd better keep moving, fast. This smoke can't possibly be good!"
20:16:09: <Patchet> "Good idea let's get out of here."
20:16:39: <coGM_Chor> 3An alarm goes off from the atrium, singing a loud "WHEEEEEEEEE" and lighting up some weak lights in unison.
20:16:48: Calibrete scoops up Rose_Bud. "Come on kid, we're outta here!"
20:17:23: rose_bud is picked up from her safety corner.
20:19:29: JackHammer blink-blinkies dazedly and staggers to her hooves. Hey, she can hear...something...but not much...still can't see much either.
20:20:15: <GMimezinga> 13when cat arrives in the corridors defended by the turrets, she can clearly hear the sound of the turret moving on the gyroscope, but the weapon doesn't fire; instead it starts spitting sparks and dies
20:20:44: Cataclysm reaches a hoof around Jackie's shoulders and tries to lead her further into the stable. Which is a little tough, until those emergency lights start coming on. By some miracle Solaris Tech actually managed to design a system which did what it was supposed to do! Looking up at the dieing turret and sticking her tongue out briefly, before heading further on.
20:21:18: Desert_Lightning follows the rest, still coughing.
20:21:20: rose_bud 's tail scans the dark room with a revolver, the rest of her clutches onto Calibrete tightly (like a big tedd bear!).
20:21:23: Patchet starts looking for the way forward out of this room and futher into the facility. "Follow me everypony!"

20:21:45: Light_Seeker is lost but trying to keep up with everypony
20:22:23: Calibrete barrels after the mares, Rose_Bud clinging on to her mane at every turn.
20:23:32: JackHammer can feel! Yes, there's one sense she still has! She lets...whoever it is, probably Cat - she hopes it's Cat - lead her...somewhere.
20:24:06: Patchet pumps more magic into her horn making it glow brightly. "Go towards the bright light blue light if you can see it."
20:24:56: <GMimezinga> 13after some moments, a serie of red emergency lights come to life, illuminating the corridor of the living quarters; the place is quite simple: a T junction of 2 corridors, one leadioing to the command bridge and the other to the maintenance section of the base; there are more than a dozen of doors each leading to a room
20:25:46: Cataclysm continues to work her way down the halls. Her eyesight was good, even in the dim light, glancing away from their path to make sure she wasn't missing anything now and then. Pressing onwards down the hall. She turns down the corridor towards the command bridge. Maybe htey'd be really lucky today (Ha!) and be able to get in there and find out some more about this place. But
20:25:46: Cataclysm it was the only idea she had right now, "This way!"
20:26:16: Desert_Lightning heads towards the command centre, thinking it the better of the two options.
20:27:10: Calibrete just follows the group, trying to allow the little filly on his back to stay safely on.
20:27:12: Patchet stops the light spell. "Never mind. Lets see if there is anything we can found out or do from the command bridge."
20:28:28: JackHammer just tries to put one hoof in front of the other without tripping. "Hey, can anypony hear me? I can barely hear myself and can't see much either. Hello?"
20:29:09: JackHammer also coughs out a little cloud of smoke.
20:30:06: <GMimezinga> 13in the meantime, the atrium is being showwered with salt water by the firefighting automated system and the smoke starts dissipating
20:30:40: Cataclysm coughs a little as well, trying to help Jackie down the hall, "I can hear you, sweety. Just try to relax and stay with me!" She wasn't sure Jackie would be able to hear her, but she wanted to reassure the large mare as best she could. Breathing a sigh of relief as the fires begin to go out. 20:34:36: Calibrete shouts behind her. "This is NO time to be playing Daring Do, kid!"
20:36:00: <GMimezinga> 13light seeker opens one of the doors in the rooms, leading to a living area with a couple of beds; the room is almost completely dark, but even with the dim lights from the dorridor it's easy to see a skeleton lying on a functional computer terminal
20:36:55: JackHammer hears Cat only dully. "Can I sweep you? Try to realize sundae whip cream? Oh Cat, whip cream is really hard to find in the wasteland, but if it makes you happy, I'll try!"

20:38:03: Light_Seeker runs to the skeleton look at it blankly
20:38:17: rose_bud would have suggested that it was always time to play Daring Do, but the red lights were scary.
20:39:31: Cataclysm would face-hoof if her hoof wasn't already consumed helping to guide Jackie, so just nuzzled her cheek instead quietly. Giving a nice comforting smile to the striped mare. Slowly trying to guide her towards the entrance to the command room.
20:39:32: Patchet folows light. "Poor pony. . . Hmm we might find useful info on that terminal. Want me to take a crack at it?"
20:40:33: <Light_Seeker> "Sure, How can i help you dead pony?"
20:40:49: <GMimezinga> 13the skeleton seems quite dead; from the little you can say from a skelly, it seems to be a stallion, adult
20:40:55: JackHammer seems to like the nuzzling and presses into it a bit as she lets Cat be her eyes and ears.
20:41:58: Light_Seeker just lays down near the skeleton crying
20:43:43: <Patchet> "Whats a matter light. Why are you upset? I know seeing a dead pony isn't the most pleasant thing in the world,but he died a long, long time ago."

20:44:20: Desert_Lightning heads into the Command Center, scanning the area he looks for anything of value.
20:44:52: Cataclysm gently and carefully helps Jackie down to the floor where she can rest, settling down nearby and keeping her eyes on the surroundings. For the moment she didn't really want to wander off and leave Jackie alone. And if she couldn't talk to it or blow it up chances were her skills weren't going to help much.
20:45:01: Calibrete does the same, and finds a .22 Silenced Pistol, 5 rounds, and a scientist's coat.
20:45:01: Light_Seeker hugs Patchet still crying out her eyes "I heard his Voice Patchy i heard him in my head."
20:45:39: Patchet frowns. "What did he say?. . . Nothing bad I hope."
20:45:43: <GMimezinga> 13the control room blast door is closed and with the powwer off it doesn't seem to want to open
20:47:16: Desert_Lightning attempts to investigate the controls to try and open the door.
20:47:35: <Light_Seeker> "He was begging someone not to open a gate."

20:48:52: Cataclysm carefully does her best to comfort Jackie without causing her pain. She didn't seem to be seriously hurt, at least. But the blackened, charred look ot her couldn't be good either... "Just relax for now." For the moment she wasn't planning to move from that spot. Not till somepony needed her or there was somewhere else to go.

20:58:22: Cataclysm hadn't actually moved away from from Jackhammer, tracking Calibrete as she moved away, slowly sitting down and watching the others fight with the door. For the moment she wasn't going to get involved, not until she was sure she had to. Blast doors were so aptly named, but doing that tended to ruin whatever was on the other side if you weren't really careful.

Apparently that pops her ears (with an improbably audible pop even) and now tiggy is back in business!
21:14:35: Cataclysm looks down, reaching out a hoof to pat Jackie's shoulders, "You feeling okay?"

21:18:59: Patchet hops on the terminal once back in the room. "Time to get hacking!"
21:19:52: JackHammer kisses Cat on the forehead then climbs off her helping her back to her feet. "That's great! Well, except for the sea ponies to food part - that's awful - but the rest is great, right? Which way to the door?" She looks for signs of Cali and the rest.

21:48:23: Cataclysm glances around the room, gravitating towards the missile launcher as well. She appreciated good craftsmanship, even if it was driven by complete insanity. A weapon with a proper explosive finale was nice too. And she still didn't know much about how to make those terminals work. They were never her 'thing', after all.

22:03:36: Desert_Lightning looks at the rocket launcher sadly. "Why do they get the weapons that are all nice and friendly to them?" He asks no pony.

22:06:49: Cataclysm smashes the glass and sets about collecting the missile launcher from within, along with the two missiles. Even taking the time to carefully load one just in case she needed it. Better not to be having to break your gun open and reload mid fight more often than you absolutely had to!
22:08:00: Patchet cracks her hooves and begins to get ready to hack the computer. "For science, and seaponies!"
