- On June 30th, beginning at 8:13 PM eastern time, Invalid expressed to the other mods of the Nagoriyuki Discord Server that he had been coping with suicidal thoughts over the past month and that he intended to follow through with these thoughts that very day. Eventually, Invalid stopped responding to us, and we have not heard from him since. We have investigated what we could about the situation privately in his local area, in the hopes Invalid did not go through with the attempt or was otherwise hospitalized. However, after some time we have not found any reason to believe this is the case, and must assume he has passed. We have now decided that it is best that people are made aware of the situation and given the chance to mourn.
- Invalid had a strong sense of righteousness, and was very vocal with his support of the LGBT+ community. He was never afraid to speak his mind and defend and support those who were lucky enough to earn his goodwill. He also enjoyed cooking, and was happy to post and discuss dishes with other members of the Nagoriyuki Server.
- He was a passionate individual who cared deeply about Guilty Gear -Strive- and its community. He was not only a top player in the EMEA region who placed highly in countless tournaments, but was also one of the most active contributors of the Guilty Gear -Strive- Dustloop. With thousands of edits across every single character, he was instrumental in creating what it is today. In particular, he edited various Nagoriyuki-related pages, contributing to making Nagoriyuki one of the most well-documented characters on the entire site. He was happy to share his knowledge of the character and the game with the community, and the Nagoriyuki community is grateful for his contributions.
- Invalid’s loss is a great blow to our community. Not only have we lost a great mentor, but we’ve lost a devoted and kind-hearted friend as well. Wherever he may be now, we hope he is at peace.
