  1. Inferno
  2. Predacon Infantry Commander
  3.
  4. "Fool! Pain is my friend - Let me introduce YOU to it!"
  5.
  6. Inferno is one of the lucky few Predacons to make it onto the Transformers: Beast Wars cartoon show. Originally a Maximal protoform stored aboard the Maximal spaceship Axalon, Inferno and his other protoform compatriots were launched into space after the ship went through a temporal distortion, and was subsequently shot down by the Predacon spaceship. He remained in space for a while, before crashing down on prehistoric Earth. There, resident mad scientist and backstabbing schemer Taratulas reprogrammed him into a Predacon.
  7.
  8. He was also given the form of a solenopsis, though which specific species is up for debate. In other words, he turns into a generic fire ant. As all Beast Transformers have some mental connection to the animal they chose as their beast forms, Inferno was driven crazy by the hivemind that ants possess, and behaves far more like an ant than a sentient being. While this makes him insanely loyal to Megatron, his "queen", he still remains insanely insane. On top of that, Inferno is armed with a jet thruster in his abdomen that lets him fly and move at incredible speeds, and also has a handgun/missile launcher/flamethrower/mandible ax weapon. There's a reason why he's an infantry commander.
  9.
  10. Curiously, despite being a character in the wildly successful cartoon, Inferno's toy apparently sold terribly, and clogged shelves in what fans refer to as the "shelfwarmer" effect. When plans were made to create an upgraded version of him in the third year's "Transmetal" assortment, they quickly changed Inferno into a new character named Scavenger, most likely in an attempt to avoid it shelfwarming. Scavenger ended up selling even worse than Inferno. Guess ants just don't sell, weird. There was also the time he died, but he was fine in the next episode.
  11.
  12. Despite his dubious sale quality, Inferno is one of the more popular Predacons, mostly for his fun personality and voice. Despite this, he has not received many toys, most likely due to the fact that "Inferno" is attributed more to the good guys than the bad guys now. Maybe in 2021 we'll get Masterpiece Inferno.

  16. Stats
  17. Weight - 99
  18. Running Speed - 2
  19. Walking Speed - 1.1
  20. Air Speed - 1.2
  21. Fall Speed - 1.5
  22.
  23. Inferno has rather standard stats, mainly focusing on his pure speed capabilities. Model wise, Inferno resembles his Beast Wars model exactly, and stands around as tall as Ganondorf, maybe slightly taller, but only slightly. He has a slight hunched position as well, and is always gripping onto his flamethrower. He's slightly wide, due to his abdomen, but he has fairly... normal, proportions. When running, Inferno will activate his jet booster, allowing him to hover slightly above the ground, which is why his running speed is so good. This is also the reason why Inferno is so good in the air, as his abdomen booster is always open, thanks to him using it during his jumps.
  24.
  25. Speaking of jumps, Inferno's first has him simply performing a simple jump, while the second has him performing a booster-assisted one. The first jump is very weak, with the booster one actually giving Inferno a decent boost, making it one of the best second jumps. Inferno also has a hover, thanks to his boosters. This works exactly the same as the other hovers in the game, which is just Peach's.
