  1. I think Kirbin is immediately advantaged by the fact that he set the pace of nearly the entire debate. Corv's response is largely "yeah all my characters are kinda good and all your characters are kinda bad, this'll shake out to a win for me eventually" Meanwhile, Kirbin establishes that his characters can all instantly threaten Corv's entire team from range and that those attacks will do a lot of damage.

  3. The ways Corv beats this are by activating Monochrome and by being faster than the enemy team, but there isn't like a present counterstrategy that could work instead of this, Corv isn't advancing a strategy of his own, he just has a counterstrategy.

  5. As for how well they work, eh. I think some of his stuff on JJK speed is good, like I think Corv does a pretty good job of beating the Maki stuff, but the way kirbin goes "he's simplifying by boiling it down to reaction times" and then just showing Yuji moving when the blood is really close to him is like, pretty good. I also think Corv's biggest weakness here is he doesn't do a great job of putting the feats into the greater context of the round. Particularly in the case of Redtooth, all the argumentation about Redtooth in this round is just kind of like "yea hes fast look at this feat with the rocks." Corv spends so much time trying to put the JJK feats in little boxes with numbers on them, and then Diana and Redtooth are just kind of there like "yea they're fast" If there was an argument that was like "Diana and Redtooth are faster than other people, allowing them to advance X strategy that will cause kirbin to lose" I think Corv's doing ok here, but he needs to prove that Yuji and Ryu are so slow that they are basically irrelevant to his team, which I do not think he does.

  7. I largely think Kokushibo's speed is a wash here. I don't think he's not bullet timing or relevant in speed or anything, even if

  9. As for Monochrome, Kirbin pretty easily proves what he was trying to prove, in his second response it feels like Corv falls back to "Ah Gou will activate Monochrome in response to a lot of very obvious things" but this is not "he will instantly activate it" which was necessary to slow down Kirbin's win condition. As it stands, I have some pretty big questions about Ah Gou's long term survivability. The whip anti-feat isn't super well riposted, and Ah Gou needs to do specific things other than Monochrome to avoid getting cut up at the start of the fight, and then I don't think he's durable enough to stand up to those attacks for very long

  11. So at the start of the fight Kirbin's team shits ranged attacks, Ah Gou does not prevent it and either defends against them or dies quickly, and then Diana and Redtooth do ??? in such a way that I don't think they win.

  13. Corv raises some good questions about Kirbin's team, but I feel like he does not compellingly put anything through the holes he creates, and Kirbin does enough to patch the holes in his strategy that it seems pretty effective. Without Corv putting forward a really compelling alternate interpretation for how the start of the fight goes, I don't think he wins.
