The Prime Minister released a statement regarding the recent actions by the now former Secretary of State for Northern Ireland
We would like to give notice that the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland /u/SireHans
 has been removed from his post following malpractices occurring while carrying out his duties. We were not made aware of his deeply unwelcome and divisive views, or his lack of respect for Northern Ireland, Stormont, and the Good Friday Agreement, and we reaffirm our commitment to the aforementioned. SireHans' views are not the views of the government, and as such we have taken swift action to expel him as soon as we were made aware of his malpractices. The government would like to apologise to the Northern Irish Executive, the people of Northern Ireland, and the British people for what has unfolded. Continuing to recognise, uphold, and strengthen the long-developed peace process there is vitally important, and in no way, shape, or form does the government stand behind the actions of /u/SireHans
. In addition, he has been formally expelled from the Liberal Democrats and will be welcome in neither of the governing parties. We also recommend no other party accepts his membership.

Prime Minister /u/TheNoHeart
 will be stepping in as Acting Secretary of State for Northern Ireland whilst a permanent replacement is found.
