HAPPs

Aiden gets elbowed in the eye by a guy in Fazer Blast. His friend Jace tells him to ignore the bullies. Aiden was considered the unpopular kid in school after being publicly humiliated when he fell off the stage during a talent show. oometimes, he just wished he could be invisible and left alone. In spite of that, Jace was one of Aiden's closest friends. Jace suggests they go play in Freddy's Fortress; a tube maze made from noise-blocking polymer. An animatronic named Happs (an acronym for "Helpful Automated Pipe Protection Server") resides in there to help kids when they're lost and sanitize the tubes.

Feeling mischevious, the two decide to scare some kids. They succeed, but end up feeling guilty, particularly when one kid doesn't run away and yells at them. Happs appears, asking if the two are lost. Aiden and Jace tell Happs that they are fine and he leaves. The duo decide to follow Happs for a while, ending up in a ball pit section.

Aiden notices a section of the maze cut off from the rest and tries to open it. They get it open and slide down, only to seemingly find a dead end. Instead, it was a mirrored partition placed to block off parts of the maze. Happs appears again, stating that Aiden and Jace are lost, and should come with him. Happs is dismissed by the boys, but he continues to insist. Jace ends up kicking Happs, who doesn't defend himself. The pipe loosens and the three fall into the cut section of the maze.

While Aiden and Jace turn up fine, Happs has disappeared. The two boys explore the area they're in to find an exit. They start to get worried when they hear something scraping towards them. Aiden finds a mirror partition that could lead back outside. Jace uses a swiss army knife he got for his birthday to cut the partition, weakening it so Aiden can kick it down. The first partition is broken to reveal another one blocking their way. Happs appears, badly damaged from the fall. His voice box is malfunctioning and the gloves on his hands are gone, exposing pinchers. Happs chases the two boys, but Jace sees a ladder up ahead and they evade him.

Happs is unable to climb up and is cut off from Aiden and Jace when the mirror partition closes on him. Aiden and Jace pound on the tubes to get someone's attention, but there is too much noise outside for them to be heard. The two boys decide to keep moving in case Happs catches up to them somehow. As time passes, the two realize that Happs has been closing partitions to trap them in an enclosed space. Jace assumes Happs wants revenge for kicking him earlier.

Happs returns and has learned how to climb. He climbs after Aiden and Jace when they reach another ladder. Another pipe is closed off and the two boys circle backwards, now cornered with Happs. He grabs onto Aiden, but Jace stabs Happs with his knife as Aiden breaks free and kicks Happs into a wall. He's knocked into a pipe and the two boys push him over. Aiden deduces that they need to pull out his circuitry to shut him off. Happs slashes at the boys and gets back up. The two spot another tube and run into it.

The pipe leads to a slide and the duo slide down it. The two land in the ball pit, with Happs right behind them. Jace dives into the pit to hide, but Happs spots him. He dives in, slicing off both of Jace's feet with his pinchers. Jace screams in pain as Aiden tries to pull him out. Happs slashes Jace's shoulder during the struggle. Aiden pulls Jace out and tries to flee, but Happs onto him again. Aiden tries to get away from Happs, but the robot is able to get one final stab. Aiden is in shock as Jace dies in his arms.

Aiden lets go of Jace's body and runs away with tears in his eyes. Aiden notices that Happs is going in the other way, finding another route to cut Aiden off. He tries to run and outwit Happs as best he can, but Aiden is starting to tire. As Aiden is sliding down into the ball pit, Happs falls over behind him, giving Aiden an opening to escape. He gets into another pipe, but realizes he is going in circles. He is in-between the open areas of the maze, locked in closed off partitions. Aiden is doomed to be hunted by Happs. He stares through an one-sided window, watching kids having fun, while he is trapped and alone.
