>"Weren't you there when the sirens Tried to brainwash the entire school?" Pinkie whispered in confusion before her eyes bugged out "Unless she's already got you under her control!" she yelled before running off, promising to come back with the others and just barely avoiding crashing into Silver Spines as she made her rapid departure.
"Brainwashing?" You ask Sonata, who refuses to meet your confused glance.
>"I don't wanna talk about it" she replied, any questions you would have asked being interrupted by Silver's return to your table.
>"What'd I miss!?" He hollered as he sat down next to you, immediately noticing Sonata and your respective mortified and confused expressions.
>You shake your head, deciding that prying would probably do more harm than good.
"Nothing, we just got spotted by another Canterlot High Student" you reply, and the thankful look Sonata shoot you makes you feel like you've made the right choice.
>"Welp, I've got some great news for you Sonata!" Silver says before flipping the emergency phone around so Sonata can see the text on it's screen "Sunny Smiles wants you and your friends to Join up with her community outreach program! Room and board included!" He cheers, his Grin splitting his face.
>Sonata gasps and grabs the phone out of his hands, reading the details.
>The smile that she gives is almost blinding, and the Siren looks like she's going to burst into tears, before an apprehensive look crosses her face.
>"But, why?" she asks "We just met and-" she says only for Silver to cut her off.
>"Hey, if I saw someone in trouble it's only natural that I'm gonna try my hardest to help them, Right Anon?" he asks as he pats you on the back.
"Yeah, I mean if anyone knows what it's like to hit rock bottom it's us!" you reply.
>Sonata cheers and leans across the table to hug the two of you, and despite the sudden contact you don't jump or flinch.
