Elias confronted by Grover

[00:56] Grover Winters asks, "... Why are you here?"
[00:56] Grover tilts his head slightly.

[00:59] Elias sighs. "I wanted to meet the local lord. The 'good demon'. That done, I'd also like to get some orichalcum for the inevitable war injuries. Ah, and I was hoping to see an old friend, but she's gone up north and I don't anticipate being able to talk my way that far."

She's definitely telling the truth, and she flips up her eyepatch, revealing the plate-mithril mounting for her mechanical eye. "And yourself?"

[01:03] The man sighed.

"I was looking for… somebody.

A person I think could be our ally. Look... this is not the way, Elias. I'm not advocating for war but, I wouldn't advise meddling with them."

Sliding out the remarkable piece of stave-forging out of it's back fittings, he presented it to Elias.

"You think you could add a glyph on this for me? I have coin and orichalcum to give you… Sorry if I'm coming off as rude."

There was a concerned frown on his face, as well as a good few stains of dirt and blood of unknown origin on his clothes. Had he held a battle recently?

[01:08] Elias sketches the runes, sets the orichalicum in points. "'Fraid my magic's not strong enough for such a thing, though I'm certainly capable of the... technical aspects."

She shrugs apologetically. "With all the respect due to you, I'm an adult. I can make my own decisions as to what is wise. When I see humans, ostensibly holy humans, making a land-grab at peaceful... I hesitate to call them demons-- you understand that there's something of a contradiction here. One I'm eager to resolve."

[01:12] Grover sighed. How unfortunate. He could see what she meant, but the drive to protect the world was far too much of a natural impulse for the blonde man.

With a nod, he simply let his chin drop down against his chest.

"That's… that's okay - I didn't mean to offend you. It's only just that you are free to take your own decisions."

Rubbing his temple, he concealed his concern with a forced careless smile.

"Well, I'll be seeing you around, Lady Elias. Be safe."
