Resilient Session 15

 ResilientGM With the help of the Jaegers, the loyalists are able to make their way towards a known safehouse. On the outside, a collapsed Administratum building. But as you approach, a down-sloped vehicle entrance is opened up, and another loyalist bands greets you inside.
 ResilientGM The underground holding appears to be more sophisticated, and despite the destruction and disarray on the outside, the inside is surprisingly well-maintained... the loyalist resistance appears to use this as a central hub. Ammunition and supplies are more plentiful, and the situation seems less hopeless from here.
 ResilientGM Sonder: "This is it, Sergeant... our best-guarded secret, and the very last stronghold of the resistance."
 ResilientGM The loyalists take Victrus to their medicae room, and help unload the supplies you bring in the transports.
 Willus scoffs. "Unscheinbar. I'm surprised they survived this long, herr sergeant."
 Matthias_Ferrus looks around as he disembarks from the Chimera. "Seems you fellows were doing a bit better than we thought. Knowledge of this place should make things easier for command."
 Kogin_Hull disconnects his servo-arm from the chimera and jumps down.
 Animus pets Mr.Cuddles
 Willus strolls past his mechanical ally, his superstitious apprhrension evident. "How have zey been hidden for zis long?"
 Kogin_Hull "I do not understand you."
 Willus shakes his head. "Of course you don't, Laune." He rubs his temples as he considers the freak-show that is his squad.
 Kogin_Hull sees the cat and says [Techna-Lingua] "That fucking feline."
 Animus "I think I like the name Empurrpurr better."
 Willus tries to stifle a chuckle.
 Kogin_Hull "I wish I didn't understand puns."
 Matthias_Ferrus "I don't think the higher ups would like that name."
 ResilientGM Sonder: "We have no comms of any kind, Sergeant. No way to get in contact with the Imperium. It's how you found us... we sent groups out to seek the Imperium when the invasion forces landed."
 Animus "How about Ferris Meowith?"
 Matthias_Ferrus grins. "Well, we now have a command variant Chimera and a Vox. That should help."
 ResilientGM Sonder: "Aye... as I said, it's quite a catch."
 Matthias_Ferrus shrugs. "Bit better."
 ResilientGM A couple of loyalist technomats rush out from another room, apparently tipped off by a comrade that you've arrived with captured vehicle.
 ResilientGM "You've done it now, Sonder! By the Emperor..."
 Matthias_Ferrus "So, who's in command here?"
 ResilientGM They closely examine the transports.
 Animus sighs and walks to the exit
 Animus finds an open area outside the base and puts the cat down
 Animus "As much as I'd like to keep you I don't think you'd like battle."
 Animus "Be free."
 Kogin_Hull looks at Willus and says "There goes free food."
 Willus shrugs. "Not worth ze charge. If you can catch it, though..." He taps his jaeager blade and winks.
 ResilientGM Sonder: "Lieutenant Gael... of the PDF. I'm sure he'll want to meet with you soon."
 Kogin_Hull "Too small to be worth it."
 Willus "True, true... but ze felid has a nice tang to its haunches. Goes great with beets unt carrots."
 Matthias_Ferrus nods. "Can't wait to meet him."
 Kogin_Hull "I guess?"
 Animus enters the building and find Mathias
	ResilientGM	A tall man enters the room. He is well-built and has the air of an officer about him. The more militant of the loyalists stand at attention.
	ResilientGM	Sonder: "Lieutenant" he gives the man a salute.
	Matthias_Ferrus	turns and looks at the Lieutenant but doesn't say anything until approached.
	Willus	sees the officer and quickly trots over, standing behind his sergeant.
	ResilientGM	He stops a few meters away from you, a couple of his men standing behind and to either side.
	Animus	"Hello."
	ResilientGM	Lieutenant Gael: "I see you've brought more than supplies, sergeant."
	ResilientGM	Sonder: "Yes, sir."
	Animus	"We have come to save the day and so forth."
	Matthias_Ferrus	steps forwards and offers a handshake. "Sergeant Matthias Ferrus of the Prithian 79th."
	ResilientGM	Lieutenant Gael: "1st Lieutenant Aleksander Gael. 11th PDF Regiment."
	ResilientGM	He reaches forward and shakes your hand.
	Animus	"I wish I had a fancy title."
	ResilientGM	Lieutenant Gael: "You are... scouts?"
	Matthias_Ferrus	smiles. "You could say that. One of our objectives was to find Loyalist holdouts like yours."
	Willus	"We did a good job, ja?" Willus smiles and pats his sergeant's shoulder.
	Kass_Yonova	Kass is in the back of the group, looking around his new surroundings. "Not bad."
	Kogin_Hull	"I have seen worse."
	Matthias_Ferrus	"Pleasant surprise to find a group in as good of a shape as yours."
	Animus	"I think it's our leadership showing through."
	ResilientGM	Gael: "We try to run things as tight as we can. Rations, scouting parties, raids. But we can't do this forever, Sergeant. When will the liberation arrive?"
	Animus	"That's us."
	ResilientGM	The Lieutenant looks at the Psyker, with an intense glare.
	Willus	bows graciously, a sarcastic smile on his face. "I hope we are all you hope for and more."
	Matthias_Ferrus	lightly slaps Animus in the back of his head. "That's what we are here for. We are scouting ahead for an advance. The rebels have more fight in them than we originally thought."
	Animus	chuckles
	Kass_Yonova	"Sarge, mind if I go check on Victrus?"
	Kogin_Hull	[Techna-Lingua] "How did Gru put up with any of you?"
	Matthias_Ferrus	nods at Kass' question.
	ResilientGM	Gael: "Do forgive me if I haven't much humor in me left," he says with a blank expression on his face, "the PDF has been annihilated before my eyes, and only I can take care of His loyal subjects in this city."
	Kass_Yonova	gives a quick salute to the Sergeant and Lt. respectively. He asks the nearest resistance member to the "medical wing."
	ResilientGM	"With me, sir," a loyalist leads the medic to the room where their ill and wounded are being treated.
	Matthias_Ferrus	"Well, as a gesture of good will, we brought you some communications equipment. You should be able to work out supply deliveries and the like with command."
	Kass_Yonova	"How stocked are you on supplies?" He asks the the loyalist.
	Animus	whispers to Matthias "Think they know I'm a Psyker?"
	ResilientGM	"We can hold for another week or so. Medical supplies are the hardest to come around..."
	Matthias_Ferrus	subtly hits Animu's side with his elbow.
	Animus	mutters "Rude."
	Kogin_Hull	"01101100 01101111 01101100 ."
	ResilientGM	Gael: "Can your Mars-Priest make repairs to the vox systems in the command vehicle?"
	Matthias_Ferrus	"He and my vox operator should be able to do something about it, yeah."
	Kogin_Hull	"Possible."
	Kass_Yonova	"Medical supplies are usually the first to go, from my experience." Kass comments.
	Kogin_Hull	heads toward the command vehicle.
	ResilientGM	Vorgen: "I'm already attempting to reach Platoon Command to report your location, Lieutenant. They'll be happy to find out."
	Matthias_Ferrus	grins. "See?"
	ResilientGM	Gael: "So, sergeant... what can I do for you?"
	Matthias_Ferrus	"Well, I was hoping we could get some knowledge of the local terrain, for we need to infiltrate an area loyal to the rebels. Some supplies could also be welcome, of course. But for now we should see about getting you linked to command."
	Willus	"Anyway I can make myself useful, herr sergeant?"
	Matthias_Ferrus	"Not for now, Willus."
	ResilientGM	Gael: "I see. Come with me, sergeant. I can provide you and your scouts here with some intelligence. As for supplies... we'll discuss this afterwards."
	Matthias_Ferrus	follows along.
	Animus	trails behind Matthias
	Willus	salutes. "Aye sir."
	ResilientGM	You walk into a hallway, and pass beyond the medicae room and into what appears to be the Lieutenant's own quarters.
	ResilientGM	Gael: "If you're able, you may copy from any of these maps..."
	ResilientGM	Vorgen: "Yes... I'm getting a signal. Keep that up, techpriest."
	ResilientGM	Vorgen: "I think we're through..."
	ResilientGM	Vorgen: +Does anyone read me?+
	Matthias_Ferrus	studies the maps and copies all that he can.
	Kass_Yonova	arrives at the spot Victrus has been set. He sets to work on improving his current medical status.
	Animus	"There never seems to be anything useful for the psyker to do."
	ResilientGM	Some loyalist attendants come to help you, but Gilliam sends them off and takes over.
	Kass_Yonova	"No offense gents, Gill here is used to me."
	Victrus_Macharius	begins to open his eyes

	Kogin_Hull	+Loud and clear.+
	ResilientGM	Gilliam: "Well..." he checks Victrus's pulse.
	ResilientGM	Gilliam nods to Kass, "I think he's coming back."
	Victrus_Macharius	"Ugh, where... where am I, Arthur why touching my arm?"
	ResilientGM	Gilliam: "Quiet, trooper."
	Kass_Yonova	flashes his lamp pack into one of Victrus' eyes. "Yeah he's back, looks disoriented to hell and back."
	Kass_Yonova	"Rest easy Victrus, relax."
	ResilientGM	Vorgen: "We've got it. Well done, Tech-priest."
	Victrus_Macharius	"Sergeant Hegel? What are you doing here?
	Kass_Yonova	"Victrus, I'm Corporal Kass Yonova, the squad's medic. Not Sergeant Hegel."
	ResilientGM	Vorgen: +Sergeant, I have reported the loyalist quarters. Platoon is sending the information to Regimental Command+
	ResilientGM	Gilliam: "Oh, great. Babysitting duties..."
	Victrus_Macharius	eyes refocus and he is able to make out that figure is actually Kass, "Kass. what... what happened? Where am I?"
	ResilientGM	Gilliam: "You forgot to look both ways, boy."
	Kass_Yonova	nods. "Pretty much. You are lucky to be alive. Arthur wasn't so lucky, not to mention your bolter."
	Matthias_Ferrus	looks up to Gael. "Seems we got through. Regimental Command should be receiving word of this position soon."
	Victrus_Macharius	stares at Kass for a moment, "What do you mean that Arthur wasn't lucky?"
	ResilientGM	Gael: "How soon do you think we'll get help?"
	ResilientGM	Gilliam: "Splat!"
	Victrus_Macharius	looks at Gilliam, confused by his statement.
	Kass_Yonova	"He's hamburger, Vic. He's with the Emperor now."
	Victrus_Macharius	stares blankly for a moment before his mood changes, sadness begins to fill him knowing that Arthur is dead.

	ResilientGM	IT IS THE 41ST MILLENNIUM...
	ResilientGM	Though supplied, the loyalists appear appear to have very strict rationing measures in place. In one of the hind-most rooms, at the far end of the main corridor, a sort of converted ventilation shaft is used to boil water and provide dry heat to wet boots and trousers. Lined closest to the heatsource, however, lay expended Las charge-packs.
	ResilientGM	Gilliam finishes monitoring Victrus’s pulse, and explains, “Wasn’t fast enough. The damned thing went right through him, and over your bolter. Sergeant was lucky, though the tech-priest… not so much” he looks back up at Kass and gives him a nod; the trooper is in sufficiently stable condition.
	Victrus_Macharius	"So, the Chimera got Gru too?" Victrus ask Gilliam.
	ResilientGM	Gilliam: "Well... that's enough from me..." he gets up, and begins to pack equipment into the med-kit on the other side of the room.
	Kass_Yonova	"Well Victrus, you're combat ready, though technically you're still walking wounded. The requisition officer is going to be pissed you destroyed one of the Regiment's bolter, though." He smiles at that.
	Kass_Yonova	"Yes, I did all I could for him, but I'm not Tech-Priest." Kass shrugs. "Shame to see him go."
	Animus	nods sadly as the cat walks away
	Kass_Yonova	"If you need a moment to collect your thoughts, do so, but report to the Sarge when you're ready."
	Mathias_Ferrus	is a Sergeant?
	Animus	returns to the base and finds the sergeant
	Victrus_Macharius	sits there for a moment thinking things over, "Yea, I will. Thanks for the help Kass, I guess I owe you one for saving my ass."
	Mathias_Ferrus	is around the command Chimera
	ResilientGM	Supplies are carefully laid out and logged.
	ResilientGM	Ferrus is given PDF uniform to replace his tattered Prithian one. You are all given the standard rations and have your water canteens filled, and are given 3 charge packs each, before being called by Lieutenant Gael.
	Victrus_Macharius	sit up and takes a moment to take in his surroundings, "Where is the Sarge anyways?"
	Kass_Yonova	"Probably near the Chimera we captured. Just follow me." Kass finishes packing his equipment and makes his way back to the Sarge.
	Victrus_Macharius	gets out of bed, he takes a moment to stand up as he struggles to stay standing, He regains his balance and follows Kass out.
	ResilientGM	You find Koeln talking to a few of the loyalists, sharing his "war stories"... adding his own flavor to them as he goes along.
	ResilientGM	Koeln: "...an entire platoon!"
	Animus	says telepathically "An entire platoon?"
	Victrus_Macharius	looks at Koeln
	ResilientGM	Koeln feels a cold grasp in his brain, and shivers.
	ResilientGM	"Get /out/ of my skull!"
	Victrus_Macharius	"Well seems you haven't changed much." Victrus says to Koeln.
	ResilientGM	Koeln: "Oh, finally decided to wake up?"
	Kass_Yonova	"You've only been out for a couple of days."
	Mathias_Ferrus	is waiting for everyone to arrive as he tries passing the important marks and details into the new uniform.
	Victrus_Macharius	"Yep, I see you still haven't decide to change your attitude yet."
	ResilientGM	Gilliam: "Looking sharp, there... sergeant."
	Kass_Yonova	"Don't antagonize the Sarge too much Gill." Kass turns away to hide his muted chuckle.
	Victrus_Macharius	moves on and heads over to the Sargent.
	Mathias_Ferrus	looks up at Gilliam. "Not as sharp as the shrapnels that tore up my old uniform, sadly."
	Victrus_Macharius	Salutes to Mathias, "Private Victrus Macharius reporting for duty sir."
	Willus	is standing off to side of the sergeant, leaning on his Long las as if it were a walking stick. He idly twists his mustache in his hand. "Nice to see ye among ze living, brother. How vas the near death experience?"
	Kogin_Hull	exits the chimera and meets up with the squad.
	Animus	"They Kogin, how's things?"
	ResilientGM	Sonder walks out into the large vehicle depot in full gear.
	Kogin_Hull	"Functioning."
	Victrus_Macharius	looks at Willus, "Well I had some dream about blowing up all the Chimeras in the world, but other wise it was boring."
	Animus	"Any chance I could try on that armor sometime?"
	Victrus_Macharius	looks over at Kogin, "So, who are you?"
	ResilientGM	Sonder: "Attention!" he barks. The loyalists guards snapping to attention.
	Kogin_Hull	"A Techpriest."
	ResilientGM	Out comes Lieutenant Gael, accompanied by his advisers and aides.
	ResilientGM	A few of his accompanying men wear the Severan uniform.
	Victrus_Macharius	"Heh, never seen one like you before."
	Kass_Yonova	"He's quite a marvel, compared to Gru at any rate."
	ResilientGM	Gael approaches you, "Sergeant, I hope your men are ready..."
	Kogin_Hull	looks at Kass and remains silent.
	Mathias_Ferrus	quickly jumps up as they approach. "What are those uniforms for?"
	ResilientGM	Gael: "You're not going to be able to fight your way into the next Hab-disctrict, Sergeant."
	Mathias_Ferrus	relaxes slightly. "So we are supposed to pass for prisoners?"
	Willus	"Better be. Wearing ze enemy's colors is shameful!"
	ResilientGM	Gael: "You will be taking two of the transports. My men will get you through. You just lay low, and don't exit the transports until you arrive."
	ResilientGM	Gael: "As far as the enemy is concerned, the transports carry supplies and their guards... don't make yourselves known."
	Mathias_Ferrus	nods slightly. "Sounds as good a plan as any, I suppose. Where will we be dropped off?"
	ResilientGM	Gael: "We will take you as far as we can. If all goes to plan, you'll be just a couple of kilometers away from the rallying grounds where you'll see your target. Just mind the fact that few loyalist civilians remain in that area. They will gladly alert the Severans should they spot you."
	ResilientGM	The 'Severans' begin to board the transports and take their positions, readying the vehicles.
	Willus	hoists his rifle up into his arms. "Wunderbar, sounds like a plan."
	Mathias_Ferrus	"There wouldn't happen to be any sewers and the like we could take to get closer to the rallying grounds, right?"
	ResilientGM	Gael shakes his head, "None that we know of. You'll have to use the urban landscape to your advantage... Szieny usually rounds up hundreds of those deluded fools. Chances are, most of the local populace will be at the rally."
	Willus	"Hmmmm, what's ze weather lookin' like? Anything that the son of a gamewarden might be able to utilize?"
	Victrus_Macharius	"Well, guess I'm going to use my lasgun for this."
	Kass_Yonova	"Back to basics.
	Mathias_Ferrus	nods. "Alright. Thanks for all the help, Lieutenant. Mind if I leave some of my men here with you? Half a platoon isn't very subtle."
	ResilientGM	Gael: "Patrol this morning reports heavy cloud cover. Could be rain again," he replies to the Jaeger's concerns.
	ResilientGM	Gael: "Certainly. We could use another patrol. They'll be here when you return, Sergeant."
	Mathias_Ferrus	"Kogin, if possible, try to leave your servitor behind. Too noisy and clumsy."
	Kogin_Hull	"Who should I leave the servitor with?"
	Mathias_Ferrus	"Sonder should have a few uses for it."
	ResilientGM	Gael: "I should point out, I don't know how to operate a thing like... that."
	Kogin_Hull	"It will listen to basic voice commands."
	ResilientGM	Sonder: "Lieutenant, I'm familiar with the machine."
	ResilientGM	Gael: "Very well. We'll hold onto the souvenir for now."
	Mathias_Ferrus	"Right, everyone else, time to climb into the Chimeras."
	Kogin_Hull	"[Techna-Lingua] Register Sergeant Sonder as your new commander."
	Victrus_Macharius	follows Mathias
	ResilientGM	The Servitor acknowledges its command with a burst of Techna-Lingua of its own. It advances a few paces towards the Sergeant.
	Kogin_Hull	enters the Chimera.
	Mathias_Ferrus	gets on the Chimera.
	Kass_Yonova	climbs into the chimera, opting to take the seat next to the ramp.
	Victrus_Macharius	enters the Chimera.
	Animus	sighs and gets in
	Willus	climbs into the chimera, making sure not to jostle his rifle too badly.
	ResilientGM	Once everyone is inside, the transports roll out, and find the roads.
	Willus	"Herr sergeant, looks like ze danger on this one will be considerable. If things go poorly, what are we to do?"
	Victrus_Macharius	"So Animus, how are you and Koeln getting along?"
	Animus	"He's like the brother I never had."
	ResilientGM	Koeln: "Why don't you just go back to sleep?"
	Kass_Yonova	goes over his wrist-mounted narthecium, making sure it has the correct drugs in big enough doses.
	Willus	rolls his eyes at the inter-squad banter. "God Emperor help me, all around me are fools."
	Mathias_Ferrus	"If things go poorly, we'll just go ahead and retreat. Worst case, we take as many rebels as we can. You do bring up a good point. We are heading into a difficult situation. Everyone needs to play it safe, no fancy heroics. Also, I'm still waiting for some details from up top so if you spot any targets, ask for confirmation before engaging."
	Victrus_Macharius	"Yea you would like that Koeln, and if I ever find another heavy weapon, I'm using you as my temporary loader."
	ResilientGM	Vorgen scans through the frequencies, with the vox pack on his lap. He even appears to be whispering things to the machine.
	Kogin_Hull	makes the sign of the Omnissiah and starts praying.
	ResilientGM	Jowalis: "Riding in these metal coffins makes me feel like a caged animal..."
	ResilientGM	Eventually, one of the Loyalists yells back, "Approaching the first checkpoint!"
	Mathias_Ferrus	"I like to think of them as nice and safe metal boxes, myself."
	Victrus_Macharius	"Yea a metal box that can squish you in an instant."
	Willus	"I prefer my feet, thank-you-very much. The God Emperor would not have blessed us vith them if he wanted us to roll around all day like some bloated grivdwaller, ja?"
	ResilientGM	The transports begin to slow down.
	ResilientGM	Gilliam: "Pipe down..."
	Mathias_Ferrus	"Alright, everyone quiet down."
	Victrus_Macharius	nodes
	ResilientGM	You come to a stop.
	ResilientGM	"What is this?" you hear outside.
	ResilientGM	"Supplies! Urgently needed!" a loyalist replies.
	ResilientGM	You can hear the checkpoint guards talk to eachother, for a moment.
	Mathias_Ferrus	slowly readies his lasgun.
	ResilientGM	"We're not a designated supply route! Who's sent you?!"
	Willus	taps his fingers against the hilt of his jaeger blade. He begins to draw it from his belt.
	Animus	peaks his head out of the Chimera to access the situation
	Victrus_Macharius	checks his lasgun
	Mathias_Ferrus	tries to hold Animus inside the Chimera because this is a really bad idea.
	ResilientGM	"Look, this is our route! It's been hell after Rillegh's incident! We're already late!"
	Animus	has the man order the men to stand down
	Animus	walks over to the man speaking to the Chimera drivers and says "We need the supplies, let them through and i'll report to command to assure everything goes as planned."
	ResilientGM	There is a pause, as the three men look at eachother, and then back at the Psyker's puppet.
	ResilientGM	The operators rev the engines on the transports, and you begin to move once more...
	ResilientGM	the Severans waving the vehicles through.
	ResilientGM	Jowalis spits on the floor.
	ResilientGM	Jowalis: "This sorcery, sergeant will doom us."
	Kass_Yonova	"Got us through the checkpoint, didn't it?"
	Willus	"Saved our ass this time, Jowalis. Let's let this one slide, ja?"
	Willus	grins, clearly relieved. He slides his jaeger blade back into its sheathe.
	Animus	lets out a pent up breath.
	Victrus_Macharius	"Heh, well that was a close one." Victrus says as be puts his lasgun away.
	ResilientGM	The ride through is mostly undisturbed, with a few pauses as the operators try to find their paths in difficult terrain. Several minutes pass, until you're warned once more of an upcoming checkpoint, "Get ready..."
	Animus	"No good jobs?"
	Mathias_Ferrus	"Shhh."
	ResilientGM	The Chimeras stop.
	ResilientGM	"What the hell do you think you're doing?!"
	ResilientGM	"Supplies. Urgently needed!"
	Willus	"Think you can go two for two, sorceror?" The gruff man nervously twists the grip of his blade as he hears the guard's challenge.
	ResilientGM	"Shut up, you fool! Captain! Captain, over here!"
	Mathias_Ferrus	once more readies his lasgun.
	Willus	follows his sergeant's lead and places his long las on his lap.
	Victrus_Macharius	readies his lasgun
	ResilientGM	Gilliam: "Are you pissing yourself?" he whispers
	ResilientGM	Sure enough, Koeln has wet himself.
	Animus	smiles
	Victrus_Macharius	grins
	ResilientGM	Koeln: "We have no way out!" he hisses back
	Mathias_Ferrus	"Quiet."
	Kass_Yonova	"Emperor's teeth." Kass says to himself quietly.
	ResilientGM	Jowalis peeks out through a port. "Ja... this one looks like an angry one. Prettier uniform than Southern men's dress... overcompensating just as much..." he mocks.
	Mathias_Ferrus	tries to take a look himself.
	ResilientGM	A man in clear officer's uniform is approaching. Fast.
	Mathias_Ferrus	keeps watching, trying to see what rank he may hold.
	ResilientGM	He is followed by a squad of men. Behind him, an apparent company's worth of men... and vehicles.
	Mathias_Ferrus	gulps at the sight of the convoy.
	ResilientGM	"Get a move on, you idiot! Haven't you heard?! We need to clear these roads! The damned invaders are bringing reinforcements through and I can't delay my advance, because you can't meet your supply runs on time!"
	ResilientGM	The transports quickly get moving, the Operators likely sweating spinal fluid...
	ResilientGM	Vorgen: "Sergeant..."
	Willus	"Please tell me zat was the last check point..."
	Mathias_Ferrus	"Yes, Vorgen?"
	ResilientGM	Vorgen: "Sergeant... the Colonel has ordered a general advance on the city. I'm hearing chatter... he's pushing for liberation of the city ahead of schedule."
	Mathias_Ferrus	curses under his breath. "Alright, that is pushing our own timetable forwards."
	ResilientGM	"We'll be arriving soon! Prepare to disembark!"
	Mathias_Ferrus	"Alright, get ready everyone. We are gonna try and move as quickly as we can on this one."
	ResilientGM	The transports come to a halt in an underpass.

	ResilientGM	It actually isn't difficult to know where to go... you can hear the echoes of a speaker through a laud-hailer, and the roaring of a crowd.
	Kass_Yonova	"Loud fecker isn't he?"
	Mathias_Ferrus	"He can keep being loud as far as I'm concerned."
	Willus	"Not for much longer, bruder."
	Willus	unslings his rifle and and begins to trot off towards the noise.
	Victrus_Macharius	"Whats the plan then sarge?
	Mathias_Ferrus	"We find where he's speaking at and find a vantage point. With any luck, a single shot from Willus should do it."
	Kass_Yonova	"Never that easy, though." Kass raps his knuckles on his helmet.
	ResilientGM	Vorgen: "Getting some comms cut-offs, sergeant. Nothing I can't handle, but it may present a problem."
	Victrus_Macharius	"Well if he can make the shot then it will be easy."
	ResilientGM	[Willus]: Around you, it is eerily quiet. The streets are apparently empty, but you nonetheless find good passages and alleyways, leading directly into an open avenue. You can't see it, but you can hear the crowds, not half a mile away.

	ResilientGM	A loud click assaults your hearing as your microbeads simultaneously seem to struggle to maintain a clear signal.
	ResilientGM	Vorgen: "Apologies, sergeant. Doing what I can on my end."
	Mathias_Ferrus	"Kogin, think you can lend him a hand?"
	Mathias_Ferrus	"And Animus, do you feel anything 'off'?"
	Animus	"Nope."
	Kass_Yonova	remains alert as they continue on towards Willus.
	Kogin_Hull	"Let me take a look at the vox."
	ResilientGM	Vorgen: "Oh... sure."
	ResilientGM	[Kogin]: You look at the Vox's systems, and you even send test pings. As far as you can tell, there is nothing wrong with it.
	ResilientGM	Jowalis looks behind, and approaches the sound of the approaching squad. He signals you over to the Jaegers' position.
	Kogin_Hull	"The machine appears to be functioning properly."
	Mathias_Ferrus	frowns. "Alright, we are sticking together from here on out. Don't want anyone getting cut off." Mathias speaks as the group links up with Willus. "Alright, what do you two have for us?"
	ResilientGM	Across a large avenue, you are able to see a parallel alley. A ladder leads up to the structure ahead.
	Willus	"So far? Clear shot to our prey; but the silence is very troubling. Ve should proceed gingerly, as if we are new born babes."
	Mathias_Ferrus	"That's why we have you on point."
	Animus	"Great expression."
	ResilientGM	You can now begin to make out what the speaker is saying, "... the invader arrives, and the invader takes! The Duke provides! And the Duke Unites!"
	ResilientGM	The crowd roars in response.
	Willus	"I shall ignore that implied insult to the tongue of my fathers this one time, sorceror. And only because you did vell today."
	Animus	"Implied insult? I just liked the expression."
	Mathias_Ferrus	"Alright. Let's move up those stairs."
	Willus	sneers at the psyker. "Ja, herr sergeant!"
	ResilientGM	Jowalis crosses over ahead of the squad.
	ResilientGM	+All clear+
	Mathias_Ferrus	moves up the stairs.
	Willus	moves ahead, long las at the ready. ++On ze move++.

	ResilientGM	As you approach the alley, Jowalis is crouched, raising a fist in the air, fixing his lasgun to his shoulder, pointing the weapon at the other end of the alley.
	ResilientGM	You soon see it, too. The figure of an armed trooper. It's only for a moment, before it moves along out of sight. It's not clear whether he's seen you, but in any case it is clear that armed troops are very close to you.

	ResilientGM	GIlliam: "Emperor's Teeth... if they have patrols down here, I'd rather be up there where we at least have a vantage point."

	ResilientGM	Koeln doesn't skip a beat, rushing to the ladder.
	Mathias_Ferrus	moves up after Koeln.
	ResilientGM	The rally rages on.
	Animus	follows Mathias
	Kogin_Hull	follows Ferrus.
	Kass_Yonova	follows everyone up the ladder.

	ResilientGM	He climbs to the top.
	Willus	takes one last assesment of his surroundings before heading up the ladder as well.
	Victrus_Macharius	climbs up the ladder.
	ResilientGM	"We are blessed! Lucius! Lucius arrived with the Duke's generous salvation! The Legate will lead us to victory over the rotten Empire, and bring us peace!"
	ResilientGM	Once again, the crowd responds with fanatical cries.
	Willus	scrambles to the top, making sure to stay low.
	ResilientGM	The rooftop is in fact clear. Koeln already has found himself cover.
	Victrus_Macharius	makes it to the top and follows Willus.
	Kass_Yonova	reaches the top and takes a crouching position next to the ladder. He keeps watch over the ladder.
	Mathias_Ferrus	finds himself a good point from which to watch. "I need some magnoculars."
	ResilientGM	Looking over the edge, you see the rally grounds. At least 2 thousand civilians have gathered. Atop a makeshift stage, stand various figures and enemy troopers.
	Willus	hands the magnoculars around his neck to his sergeant. "Vatch and learn, herr sergeant"
	Mathias_Ferrus	"Thanks. Nobody fire yet or anything." He then starts to take a look.
	Victrus_Macharius	takes out and puts on his Magnoculars
	ResilientGM	Vorgen: "Comms are out, sergeant."
	Willus	crawls over to the edge and goes to the lip, resting the rifle on the edge.
	ResilientGM	Your commbeads hiss with low whitenoise.
	Mathias_Ferrus	removes his commbead as he focuses
	ResilientGM	[Ferrus]: You can confirm the identity is that of Captain Szieny
	Willus	"Vitch one is ze target?" Hisses Willus, trying to keep his voice down.
	Mathias_Ferrus	"Hold it..."
	Kogin_Hull	prones behind cover.
	Animus	begins to pray
	ResilientGM	[Macharius]: The speaker, an officer, is accompanied by several well armed men. Three stand near him, and another group guards the steps leading to the stage itself.
	ResilientGM	Precipitation begins to fall, then.
	ResilientGM	[Willus]: The man speaking has the uniform of an officer… you can spot markings on him. Jaeger training has given you the skills to recognize your prey. Without a doubt, he’s a Captain.
	ResilientGM	[Kogin]: You scan the crowd, and notice several armed "civilians" advancing in a tactical spread.
	Willus	"Give me ze word, and I ploy zis bastard's head off."
	Kogin_Hull	"There's a squad of armed men advancing toward the stage."
	Victrus_Macharius	"Got several armed men, three are near the speaker, and another group is by the steps to the stage.

	Mathias_Ferrus	"Everyone but Willus, myself and Jowalis, head back down, now."
	ResilientGM	The hissing of the commbeads continues, but is interrupted by a few clicks and muttered chatter... +...suka won't see a...+. +Quiet+.... the accent, foreign.
	Animus	heads back down the ladder
	ResilientGM	[Yonova]: The accent... familiar
	Mathias_Ferrus	"Alright, Willus I want a pretty strong wounding shot. Not a fatal one."
	Victrus_Macharius	takes off his magnoculars and heads down the ladder
	ResilientGM	Vorgen: "Damn... I thought I had it. Comms are out again."
	Kogin_Hull	"Understood."
	Kass_Yonova	"Huh, Vonoyans?"
	Kass_Yonova	"Sarge we may have friendlies in the area."
	Kogin_Hull	heads down the ladder and finds covers.
	Willus	spits and squints down his sight. "Vounding? Herr sergeant, are you serious? Why?"
	Animus	finds cover
	Mathias_Ferrus	"Orders from above. That's all I know."
	Mathias_Ferrus	"You may fire when ready. And I mean it about the word on wounding coming from upstairs, Jaeger."
	Victrus_Macharius	gets down and finds cover, pulls out his lasgun and enters overwatch.
	Mathias_Ferrus	"Don't be obvious about it, of course. Have him spend a few days in a hospital, if you can manage it."
	Willus	grimaces, conflicted. "This may be our only chance to smite him..."
	Kass_Yonova	"Sarge, not sure if you caught it, but it sounds like we have friendlies in the area."
	Mathias_Ferrus	"Hey, you want to teach high command how to fight this war? Or would you rather avoid a trial for insubordination? Fire when ready."
	Willus	"...Firing." He slowly squeezes the trigger...
	Kass_Yonova	is the last down the ladder.
	ResilientGM	The lasbolt hits and horribly maims the Captain's left arm, leaving it hanging by a thin layer of flesh. He collapses, and the men around him instantly rush to him and set up a perimeter.
	ResilientGM	The crowd reacts in a panic, and the sound of autogun fire comes from the panicked crowd, mortally wounding several of the Captain's guards, before making a hasty retreat.
	Kass_Yonova	"Sounds like our party just started."
	Animus	winces at the sound of the shot
	Mathias_Ferrus	"Aaaand that's our cue. Time to get out of here. You two first."
	Willus	instantly dives away from the lip, dropping prone. "Schnell! Shcnell!"
	Victrus_Macharius	"Yep."
	ResilientGM	Vorgen: +Comms are back, sergeant!+
	Animus	+Start running?+
	Kogin_Hull	+Wait for the others.+
	Willus	crawls as fast as he can towards the ladder.
	Mathias_Ferrus	takes one last look before heading down with the rest of his squad.
	Kass_Yonova	"Sounds like our friends joined the party as well,"
	ResilientGM	Lasfire responds to the autogun fire... apparently in various small skirmishes in the blocks around you.
	Kass_Yonova	"Ready to move at your command, Sarge."
	Animus	"Lets get the hell out."
	Willus	drops down the ladder and slides the entire way down. He mouths a soundless whoop, kissing his rifle.
	Mathias_Ferrus	looks around as he gets to ground level. "Looks like we opened a big can of worms. Move out! Willus, keep your eyes open for a good route."
	ResilientGM	Altered civilian ground vehicles begin to drive through the streets, firing at the crowd and guards, covering the retreat.
	Kass_Yonova	hauls ass back to the Chimera, following Willus.
	Victrus_Macharius	leaves overwatch and follows Wilus
	Kogin_Hull	follows the squad.
	Animus	hauls ass back to the chimera
	Willus	takes point once again, hauling ass back to the drop off point. "Get ze lead out of your legs mein bruders! We've got to move!"
	ResilientGM	Two of the vehicles drive by you, opening fire on your position.
	ResilientGM	The Transports are already on the move when you arrive at the underpass.
	Animus	runs over and helps Victrus keep moving
	Kogin_Hull	gets hit by autogun fire and says [Techna-Lingua] "Fuck."
	Victrus_Macharius	gets hit by the autogun fire as well, he grunts as he keeps moving.
	ResilientGM	The lead vehicle comes to a halt, getting rear-ended by the following one. From atop the hatch, a loyalist yells out.
	ResilientGM	"Get in! We are leaving!"
	Kass_Yonova	"Don't have to tell me twice."
	Mathias_Ferrus	"You heard the man! Everyone in!"
	Kass_Yonova	piles in with the squad.
	Mathias_Ferrus	waits for everyone to mount up before climbing in.
	Victrus_Macharius	board the Chimera
	Kogin_Hull	enters the vehicle.
	Animus	gets in, helping Victrus
	ResilientGM	The transports rush forward before Koeln gets on, the rear doors still open.
	Kass_Yonova	grabs one of the handle bars near the ramp door and leans out, arm outstretched. "FECKING COME ON! RUN LIKE YOU MEAN IT!"
	Animus	reaches out his hand for koeln
	ResilientGM	Around you, the echoes of the roaring engines caused by the Vonayan strafers and the fire of their autoguns.
	Mathias_Ferrus	"Get in here, Koeln!"
	ResilientGM	Koeln: "No... wait! Wait!"
	Mathias_Ferrus	"Tell the driver to stop!"
	ResilientGM	In his panic, the young trooper leaps an incredible distance... grabbing both your arms to pull himself up.
	Animus	"Nice jump."
	ResilientGM	Koeln: "I... I think I pissed myself. Again."
	Animus	looks around for anything to give Koeln to clean himself up
	Mathias_Ferrus	"But you aren't wounded, right?"
	Mathias_Ferrus	"How's everyone else? Everybody here?"
	Kogin_Hull	"I'm glad my suit is environmentally sealed."
	ResilientGM	"Sergeant!" the operator calls back, "checkpoint ahead. Troopers lined up signaling to stop!"
	Animus	finds some scarps of fabric and hands them to Koeln
	Victrus_Macharius	"Not that great sarge, got hit earlier sir by the autogun fire."
        Kass_Yonova	looks over both Kogin and Victrus.
	Mathias_Ferrus	"Floor it!"
	Animus	"I could control them."
	ResilientGM	Koeln: "Thanks... witch" he says with a smile.
	Animus	"Sure thing, now lets not die."
	ResilientGM	The transports ignore the checkpoint, turning the troopers into pulp, and destroying the barricades.
	Kass_Yonova	"Bumpy ride."
	Victrus_Macharius	cringes at the sound of the Chimera running over the troopers.
	Willus	hangs on as the transport bumps over the troopers. He lets out an incoherent scream of joy. "HAHAHAHA! ZE FAITHFUL ARE HERE, HERETICS!"
	Kogin_Hull	"Indeed."
	ResilientGM	"Patrol up ahead!" the operator calls again.
	Animus	chuckles at Willus
	Victrus_Macharius	looks at Kass, "How bad is it?"
	Mathias_Ferrus	"Same as the first!"
	Mathias_Ferrus	"Wait!"
	Mathias_Ferrus	"You sure they are rebels?"
	ResilientGM	"You'll know in about 10 seconds, sergeant!"
	Mathias_Ferrus	"Fuck this. This thing got a top hatch?"
	ResilientGM	"Aye!"
	Mathias_Ferrus	carefully tries to peek out from the top hatch, magnoculars in one hand.
	ResilientGM	The colors are the same as those of the Captain you encountered on your way in. If you had to wager, likely his men.
	Mathias_Ferrus	"Yeah, full speed ahead!" He tries to keep an eye out for the Captain.
	ResilientGM	The Chimera drives past by the squad, its passengers firing at their loose formation, but what causes sheer terror and death is the stream of fire that roars from the inside of the vehicle.
	Mathias_Ferrus	"Alright. This the only road back to base?"
	Animus	"Gave them some Holy Flame."
	ResilientGM	"We're not going back to base, Sergeant! Lieutenant Gael's orders!"
	Mathias_Ferrus	"Where are we headed?"
	ResilientGM	"Abandoned Rail Station. Emergency rendezvous point of the resistance!"
	Willus	"I suppose ze post victory feast must be delayed then, eh?"
	Mathias_Ferrus	"Alright."
	Mathias_Ferrus	"Vorgen, how's our vox doing?"
	ResilientGM	Vorgen: "Comms clear, sir. Though we have some sort of interference here and there."
	Kass_Yonova	With practiced hands Kass sets about patching up Victrus' new wounds and Kogin's minimal battle damage.
	Kogin_Hull	"Hand me the vox."
	Kass_Yonova	"You really need to stop running out into traffic Victrus."
	ResilientGM	Vorgen: "Erm..."
	Victrus_Macharius	"Thanks again Kass, I guess that is two drinks I owe you now."
	Mathias_Ferrus	"Danm it. Keep me posted if you pick anything up on the Imperial advance."
	Animus	"I wonder if I'm allowed to drink."
	Kass_Yonova	"At this rate, you'll need to buy me a whole bar." Kass chuckles heartily at that.
	ResilientGM	[Kogin]: A signal jammer is trying to target the vox. In fact... it's trying to transmit, overriding its usual scanners.
	Mathias_Ferrus	"No. You are not allowed to drink. Specially while on duty."
	Victrus_Macharius	"If you where, I would owe you a drink as well."
	Kogin_Hull	"There's a signal coming through."
	Animus	winks at Victrus
	Mathias_Ferrus	"A signal? Vorgen, can you pick it up? See what's up with it?"
	Kogin_Hull	hands the vox to Vorgen.
	ResilientGM	Vorgen: "I'll try to..." he tweaks with the machine, "I... I have something."
	Kass_Yonova	"Well, I know only Victrus would remember, but it seems like those were Vonoyans causing all that ruckus after Will's shot."
	Kass_Yonova	"You'll have to pay them back for shooting you!"
	Mathias_Ferrus	"Vonoyans?"
	ResilientGM	Vorgen: "It's hard to understand... some... Captain. Captain Maxim."
	Mathias_Ferrus	tries to listen in. "Anyone else know how to work a vox?"
	Kass_Yonova	"Regiment of light-infantry who are quite sneaky. We were deployed with one of their number some time ago."
	Victrus_Macharius	"Yea, I though they sounded familiar."
	ResilientGM	+... who is in command of that incompetent band of morons?!+
	Kass_Yonova	"We fought alongside them back on Bolfem."
	Mathias_Ferrus	"Well, let's see who's calling."
	ResilientGM	Vorgen hands you the vox.
	Mathias_Ferrus	+"Who is this piggybacking on my vox?"+
	Willus	puffs out his chest and turns red. "Did zat fool just call us morons! Why, the indignity!"
	ResilientGM	+Why did you interfere in my operation?! Identify yourself!+
	Kass_Yonova	"That would be the Vonoyans, never met Captain Maxim, but we spoke to him once before."
	Mathias_Ferrus	+"You first. A fee for my voxe's services."+
	ResilientGM	+Tell me who you are, and I'll have my marksmen stand down upon your arrival at that broken down rail station+
	ResilientGM	+Marksmen! The sort that actually /KILL/ their targets!+
	Kass_Yonova	"I'd do as he says, Sarge."
	Willus	grinds his teeth. "Oh no he just did not...!" Willus hisses.
	Willus	tries to signal his sergeant to let him speak to this impudent offworlder.
	Mathias_Ferrus	laughs into the vox. +"Quite the friendly sort are you? Name's Ferrus. Sargeant. Your turn."+
	ResilientGM	+Maxim. Captain Maxim. Vonayan 23rd... and here to take out targets critical to the war effort in this damned city!+
	ResilientGM	"We'll be there soon, sergeant!" the operator calls
	ResilientGM	Koeln: "He's bluffing. There's no way he has anyone at the station."
	Mathias_Ferrus	+"Pleasure to speak with you, Captain. The wonders of incomplete intel... What do you need of my squad?"+
	ResilientGM	+Are you aware that the fool, Szieny, is still alive?! Leave this to the professionals. Stand out of our way.+
	Victrus_Macharius	looks at Koeln, "I highly doubt that he is bluffing "
	Mathias_Ferrus	+"What I'm aware of, Captain, is that I completed my mission objectives to the letter. I suggest, for the sake of all of us, that you pay heed to my words."+
	Animus	"Don't listen to him Willis, you could of killed him better than them if you wanted to. Keeping him alive was harder."
	Willus	spits. "Shut up, Animus."
	ResilientGM	+Keep away from the High priority targets, sergeant, or you will become one.+
	Animus	shrugs
	ResilientGM	The signal cuts out and resumes its usual scanning.
	Kass_Yonova	"That can't be good."
	Mathias_Ferrus	"Vorgen, Kogin. See if you can track down this signal. Looks like I'll need to exchange words with the good captain face to face."
	ResilientGM	The Chimeras stop, and you find yourselves by the rail station. A few familiar faces are outside. Some of the loyalists you met before.
	ResilientGM	Vorgen: "Yes, sergeant."
	Kogin_Hull	"Understood."
	Willus	dismounts, livid. He crosses his arms and wanders around, aloof and angry.
	Mathias_Ferrus	"Willus, Kass, Jowalis. I need a word with you three."
	ResilientGM	Jowalis: "Ja, herr sergeant..."
	Victrus_Macharius	get up and exits the Chimera.
	Kass_Yonova	follows along, leaving Gill with the rest of the squad.
	ResilientGM	[Kogin]: You can find and lock onto the signal, but all you can gather is range. Consulting with what you know about the city's layout, you can ascertain that the Captain is operating from within the city itself, somewhere on the West-most area; and area around 10km from the loyalist quarters.
	Mathias_Ferrus	leads them away slightly before speaking. "Listen, what happened up there and what we spoke is to be kept between ourselves. Anyone important starts asking, you send them my way, got it?"
	ResilientGM	Jowalis: "You mean letting that Schwein live on purpose? Shaming Willus?"
	Kogin_Hull	"Sergeant, I have an approximate location of the signal."
	Kass_Yonova	"Understood, Sarge."
	Willus	"Ja, herr sergeant." Willus says, reluctantly.
	Mathias_Ferrus	nods. "Yeah, that. Officially, we are going with a bad call of judgement on my part. Jowallis had faulty equipment and I wanted to play spotter."
	ResilientGM	Jowalis: "As you command... but I don't like this at all."
	Mathias_Ferrus	"Neither do I. Everyone clear?"
	ResilientGM	Jowalis: "Clear..."
	Kass_Yonova	"Aye, Sarge."
	Willus	nods.
	Mathias_Ferrus	"I'll get you a chance to regain your honor, Willus, with interest." With that, he turns to Kogin. "What do you have for me?"
	Victrus_Macharius	finds a place to sit down
	Victrus_Macharius	waves Animus over to him.
	Kogin_Hull	"The signal originates from the city. About 10km west of the loyalist quarters."
	Mathias_Ferrus	sighs. "That's too far for my liking. Anyways, let's debrief and rest for a bit."
	Kass_Yonova	re-boards the chimera and relaxes inside, kicking his boots up on the seat across from him.
	ResilientGM	Sonder comes out to greet you. "Ferrus, it's good to see you again. You seem to have woken the hornets' nest. We had to abandon our holding... an entire company advanced to the South. Your men used the vox to radio in support... apparently your colonel will be moving up his forces. They will be here in the morning to take you to their forward positions."
	Animus	moves over to Victrus "Yes?"
	Victrus_Macharius	"Just wanted to thank you again for helping me earlier."
	Mathias_Ferrus	"I did wake the hornet's nest. Hornets with autoguns and light armor. A company? What can you tell me of them?"
	Animus	"We are comrades, plus it'd be a shame to lose anybody at this point.
	Kogin_Hull	jumps on top of the chimera and starts to meditates.
	Victrus_Macharius	"Yea, well hopefully we will keep this up."
	ResilientGM	Sonder: "They were in a hurry, is all I can say. Moved in full force. Infantry, transports, support..."
	Mathias_Ferrus	sighs and walks around for a bit. "Damn, any idea on where they might be? Mind if I use your vox? Need to check something with command."
