  1. Recommended races (not exhaustive)
  2. Slime: for slime division (double turn) (mega slime skill)
  3. Sea-dweller (seadragon dancer): for timewarp dance, access to sing/dance
  4. Minor Chaos: status immunities, access to dark + time + machine skills
  5. Angels: for holy skills
  6. Minotaur: axe skills ignore def
  7. Harpy: for sky dance
  8.  
  9. General notes:
  10. - Holy martyr/endure are useful abilities to have for all members
  11. - Carbuncle/Phoenix (Summoner) are useful skills to have on all members; Spiritualist gives 'skill use: summoning' ability
  12. - Keep vicarious clara (necromancer)/electromagnetic armor (machine master) refreshed on all members
  13. - Deal damage with whatever works (holy/dark/machina/axe/demon arts/black magic etc.)
  14. - Clear status effects with saints recovery (holy skill) or other skill; Hild is good for this since she has access to holy skills while being immune to status effects with Minor Chaos race
  15. - If you have trouble with status effects, farm ribbons or use Minor Chaos monsters
  16. - Holy/dark skills cannot be dodged or reflected (this works both ways)
  17. - Time magic is effective on most bosses
  18. - Song/Dance skills are useful to buff the team
  19. - Stage time (special)(double turn for 4 turns, sing/dance only) is strong but risky; good to use in conjunction with time warp dance (seadragon dancer)

  21. - All bosses can clear your teams buffs, including deflectors such as clara
  22. - Usually you want at least one member refreshing clara every turn
  23. - Unless noted, most bosses are vulnerable to 'stop' effect
  24.  
  25. You will need lockpick II (or relevant accessory) to open the green chest behind the boss.

  27. The bosses:
  28. Adramalech (debuffs effective)
  29. - easiest boss
  30. - debuff her agility, and your team is faster
  31. - debuff her defense and you can deal 50k+ damage per turn with regular skills (eg. multiweapon)
  32. note: Alice is great here since she learns weakening (debuff) dance (from Snake Miko race?)
  33.  
  34. Morrigan (carbuncle effective) (silence effective)
  35. - most of her attacks can be reflected/dodged, except for aero
  36. - is vulnerable to silence
  37. - stop/clara etc etc
  38. - drops a weaker version of the scroll in the green chest
  39.  
  40. Astaroth
  41. - stop/clara etc etc
  42.  
  43. Alice XVI (kiratsu stun effective) (carbuncle effective) (evasion effective)
  44. - basically the same as the normal Alice XVI, most skills can be reflected/dodged with carbuncle and harpy dance
  45. - monster lord's cruelty has extra hits, but a fresh clara should block it
  46. - she is vulnerable to the stun from sparkle/kiratsu (song skill)
  47. - stop/clara etc etc
  48. - drops the same thing as the normal Alice XVI
  49.  
  50. Sphinx (slow/stop resistant) (multi-hit spells) (carbuncle effective)
  51. - from my experience, slow/stop does not work
  52. - most of her spells can be reflected with carbuncle for good dmg
  53. - clara for the rest
  54. - note: you will need carbuncle or the spells will break clara
  55. - drops the same thing as normal sphinx
  56.  
  57. Soniamazuda (holy)
  58. - uses holy skills
  59. - carbuncle/harpy dance are not very useful
  60. - according to wiki can be affected by paralysis and temptation
  61. - stop/clara etc etc
  62.  
  63. Michaela (physical reflect) (physical nullification)
  64. - will reflect physical attacks (note: machine skills cannot be reflected but deal 0 damage)
  65. - carbuncle/harpy dance are not very useful
  66. - stop/clara etc etc
  67. - drops a sword
  68.  
  69. Lucifina (magic reflect) (uses daystar, death sword chaos star) (evasion effective)
  70. - will reflect magic attacks, including time magic
  71. - vulnerable to time warp dance (seadragon dancer) still
  72. - uses daystar (nullifies and counters everything for 1 turn)
  73. - uses death sword chaos star (multi hit physical), harpy dance recommended to dodge or it may break clara
  74. - according to wiki is vulnerable to silence
  75. - stop/clara etc etc
  76. - drops venus shield (magic reflect +50%), a sword
  77.  
  78. Soniaman'yu (dark) (physical nullification) (multi hit darkness)
  79. - nullifies physical attacks
  80. - uses dark skills
  81. - multi-hit darkness skill may break clara on some members
  82. - according to wiki can be stunned by sparkle/kiratsu
  83. - according to wiki can be stunned by opening surprise box
  84. - stop/clara etc etc
  85.  
  86. Reaper (stop resistant) (can be slowed) (carbuncle effective) (evasion effective) (multi hit darkness) (chaos drive)
  87. - hardest boss, hopefully you got some decent items from beating other bosses
  88. - immune to stop
  89. - vulnerable to slow, if you have 500+ agility you will outspeed her after slow
  90.  
  91. - has normal reaper skills + more darkness skills + chaos drive
  92. - chaos drive (nero's 3 turn timestop) is a pain, if used with buff clear your team is likely dead
  93. - multihit darkness attack can break clara on some members
  94. - old skills can still be dodged/blocked
  95. - carbuncle/harpy dance is recommended to preserve clara
  96.  
  97. - a strategy that has worked for me is to drain her mp
  98. - she has 9999 mp, properly equipped members can steal ~90+ with a dance
  99. - slime division or stage time may be used to get extra turns in (they don't stack, sadly)
  100. - chaos drive and buff cleanse cost mp, without these reaper is much more manageable

  124. scroll of ??? (modifies normal attacks?)
