  1. Hi, I would like you to read these responses... the video is old, so you may not read the video comments. I hope you don't put a video out there and then totally ignore my message in reply. If you are confident, you should be able to at least read the rebuttals without refusing. (Failure to read is a cop out, or fear >.>). I just had to say that in case you were a person to avoid things. I don't assume anything bad like that about you, though. I hope you'll be strong enough to consider things by the end of it.
  2.
  3. 1: there is positive and negative atheism, (one is a LACK OF BELIEF, the other is denying god exists, there is a difference, and I hope you recognize that what you said there goes for you too - you can't just claim that your god exists.)
  4. 2. Something had to have come from something, or something had to always exist. You can't say "well, the materials for the big bang didn't come from nothing and didn't always exist, that's nuts" and then say "god did that last one"
  5. 3. Sources? (read in msg..) Can you briefly explain your sources that told you scientists have found out the possibility of evolution are next to zero? If this is true (because there have been lies), then perhaps the scientists are wrong about how they think it went/how long? We know that it's possible for things to change and evolve a bit at least... some believe in microevolution, and not macroevolution (macro would be BIG evolution, like hippo to bird or something, silly example but yeah).
  6. 4. Some atheists using crazy analogies (as you think) does NOT collapse their entire claim. I always thought the idea behind the flying spaghetti monster was that that is nonsensical or silly, and that god is (in another way)... and as you know, they have arguments as to why God existing is silly or improbable. (basically means it's just as good as saying there is a flying spaghetti monster... why not... A GOOD monster, all good, 100%, invisible, does nothing, does bad things, yet all good) I know that people claim when he does bad things it does not count, but you cannot say that someone or something is 100% good and whenever they do bad things it doesn't count. A lot of things mentioned and said, if done or said by a human, would have been considered bad and evil.
  7. I'm not for sarcastic (ok, I know that's not the right word, but whatever) sayings, though, and don't use those analogies.
  8. 5. What exactly does that bringing back of Jesus christ mean ? What was proved ? You could've at least said SOMETHING on that. Was it proved that a man named Jesus really was in a tomb, and was hung on a cross, or what ? That still doesn't prove everything about jesus or that god existed. some atheists think a man named Jesus existed. Can you answer this question ?
  9. 6. Atheism provides no moral compass ? Oh my god, that is horrible. My tone changes for this one. I had the same emotions to that argument as I did to someone saying something I think is sick, tbh. Like "Why didn't we nuke China" today. I'm not saying it's the same thing... it just triggered that emotion in me. Please do not say things like that... You do NOT need to believe in a God to think things are wrong and right. This is part of my points. If you can't think something is wrong ON YOUR OWN, if it doesn't make sense to most people without some being saying so, if it doesn't hurt people, then it probably isn't wrong. If you need to believe in a God to think things are bad, that is just horrible. (ah.. that's where the stomach hurting emotion came from).
  10.
  11. Second of all, plenty of christians are into video games and hollywood. So, it doesn't have to do with being atheist.
  12.
  13. Believing in some being to tell you that ___ is wrong and you will burn is NOT the greatest source of motivation.. the greatest source is knowing it's wrong for yourself. I hope we as humans don't need a god to know things are wrong. Actually, believing in some being saying this or that seems to be the greatest source of motivation to do things that are bad backed by some other "good" belief, or call things that don't hurt anyone and are perfectly okay "bad".
  14.
  15. 7. Origin - Uh.. just like the pro-christian video representing the atheist side and then replying...You say your god came from nothing (or was there forever) <-- these aren't my words, .... where did the materials for the big bang come from ? they can't have just been there or came from nothing. BOTHHHH sound equally PUZZLING. You can't just choose "Oh, it must be God, because the materials for the big bang aren't allowed to have been there forever or come from nothing, but God sure can be there forever.
  16.
  17. Meaning - If you mean living for some other purpose than living, that isn't necessary... Things can live just to be living. What's wrong with that ? Why does there need to be some other purpose ? Some people say life doesn't need a "meaning" whatever that even means.
  18.
  19. Morality - If you'd have no morals without believing in God, you're simply a monster under control. Maybe it's good you believe in God. (or maybe it's bad, depending on what you'd do just because a god you're unsure exists says so).
  20.
  21. Destiny - God sure does answer it, but that doesn't mean he exists... others have made up other gods to answer questions, but that doesn't mean they exist either. Other atheists actually do have a theory about what happens, and say they've experienced things that seem to confirm this. I'm referring to "supernatural" things here. Atheist != Skeptic of *everything*, remember.
  22.
  23. Now, hopefully you read this and you read it and didn't try to deny any thoughts that come to mind, or deny thinking about it. Set yourself free, man. I'd say it's pretty improbable that the guy in the Bible really exists as written, but you should at least admit that you're unsure and can't say that he exists. Especially if you have beliefs that are harmful to others for no real reason. So think about this, and set yourself free. You might choose to just deny everything or try to soothe yourself with arguments that aren't strong rebuttals to what I've said, or maybe you can think of a couple for some things, but not enough to keep saying that God is real. (But please be one more person that purges themselves of this and sets themselves (and others :3) free. Crossing my fingers).
