Glibathon 7: Glibbing for a Reason

Upon returning to work on Monday, I met with some very sad news. One of my coworkers, Marcella, was on vacation the week before that, and while she was gone, her house burned down. This came only a couple months after she had to deal with flooding in her basement, so needless to say, things have been quite rough for her. Her insurance has been helping, but she's still in quite a bind. People have started to take a bit of a collection at work, but I thought I could do something even bigger than just giving some money. So I've decided the best thing I could do is a fundraiser stream to try and help her out. I have no real expectations of this, but I know that the speedrunning community is always willing to help out people in need, and I hope I can do my part to help out someone who's been such a kind and helpful person to me during the last two and a half years that I've worked with her.

So on a Saturday in the not-so-distant future (looking at February 10th right now but that's certainly subject to change) I'm going to do a 24 hour stream with the goal of raising as much money for Marcella as I can. Any new subs, gifted subs, bits, donations, people walking to my door and handing me cash, WHATEVER. Any money raised during that stream will go directly to Marcella. I don't have a schedule worked out just yet, (I'm probably working on it as you're reading this) but it'll likely include SMAS All 5 100% + SM64 120, shoutouts to the 2k follower special, a couple of casual segments, maybe some dumb races or multiplayer things? If you've made the unfortunate mistake of watching any of my other Glibathons, you'll know that it'll be a big mix of stuff that I'll swap between to keep stuff fresh.

I'll have some incentives up as well, at certain amounts I'll either tack things on to something later in the marathon, or add on another special stream for a later date. I've got some "fun" things I wanna do, so hopefully the thought of causing me more suffering will give you the encouragement you want. I'll ALSO be gifting away a sub for every 50 dollars raised (as long as it isn't making me go broke lol). So I'm hoping with all this will motivate people to help out! And don't worry if you can't contribute monetarily, as always, even showing your support by coming and hanging out and (hopefully) having a good time is greatly appreciated.

I think that's all I wanted to say for now. Stay tuned, I'm gonna try to get a schedule and all that worked out either tonight or tomorrow. As always, if you have any suggestions for things you'd like to see, feel free to give me a jingle, I'm always open to ideas, especially if it's something people ask to see. Also, I loathe self-promotion with the fire of a thousand suns, but this time around anything people could do to spread the word about this would be greatly appreciated.
