Covet: Nika pulled up to Freedom and Shay's appartment, and threw her bag over her shoulder. She made her way up to the door and gave it a knock waiting outside for an answer, knowing that Freedom was at least home.
Tsaaq: Freedom walked from her bedroom to the living room, plopping down on the couch as she turned on the T.V. She stared at the remote as she attempted to think on what she wanted to watch, for now she was flipping through the channels aimlessly. She heard the knock and got up from the couch as jogged to the door, opening it quickly. "Hey, you got here aiight?" She asked Nika, smiling a little once she saw her.
Covet: "Mhhm, I did. Easy to find the second time." She said with a smile then walked inside, looking at her. "How are you doing? Do you need a hug?" Nika asked trying to judge her over all mood just from looking at her which was easier said than done.
Tsaaq: She attempted to mantain her smile as she listened to Nika. She sighed as she nodded, going to wrap her arms around Nika and gave her a bit of a squeeze before she pulled away. "I'm aiight... Shit ain't going too good." She muttered before she toyed with the sleeves of her jacket. "You want anything? I was just about to find something to watch on TV or something."
Covet: Nika hugged her back, giving her back a gentle rub, "Well, I'm here to help make it better any way I can. I'm alright but thank you for the offer. We can just hang out and watch TV. Or talk if you'd like" She told her moving towards the couch.
Tsaaq: "I'm just trying to distract myself anyway I can. Either one is good with me." Freedom sighed before she went to sit down on the couch. "How you been lately?" She asked biting the inside of her cheek.
Covet: "I've been alright. Trying to help my mom as much as I can. I ended up taking the night shift at the inn last night for her." Nika told her, "So aside from that I've just been busy with school. Sorry I didn't check up on you yesterday. Have you heard from Derek at least? I kind of nudged him a little bit to talk to you."
Tsaaq: She nodded her head at Nika. "At least you help your moms out. That's always good." Freedom said with a smile. She shrugged her shoulders as she shifted on the couch. "He talked to me a lil today." She said. "He was asking about my status on connect and what happened with Leon and Shay." Freedom answered. "So I guess he kinda talking to me." She whispered. "Shay hasn't been home yet... I hope she ain't doing nothing bad. I ain't even get to apologize for mouthing off about her and Derek." She rambled.
Covet: "Well... that's good. He was apparently drunk last night. So, what all happened? If you don't mind me asking." Nika questioned, looking concerned. "What would she be out doing that's bad?"
Tsaaq: She sighed inhaling sharply once she said Derek had been drunk. "Well..." Freedom began to trail off. "I can home from the cafe, and I was really trying to just go to my room but Raksha was grilling me and asking me what was wrong and shit. And I told her I didn't want to talk about, I was good. And she was like 'Oh you doing drugs?' or some dumb shit." Freedom scoffed as she shook her head. "I was like she need to mind hers cause I was still bothered by the shit I found about her cheating on Leon so then she decided to back off. But then! This mother fucker-Leon- is in her room, talking shit about me so I was like wassup, you got something to say? And he blacks out on me, says mad fucked up shit like how I'm ungrateful, how I run around following Derek and he don't want me all this shit-" Freedom paused between explaining to look at her phone and furrowed her eyebrows. "...Shay is in Chicago and she dont know when she coming back..." She trailed off.
Covet: Nika's jaw dropped and she furrowed her brow, " How did she even get to that conclusion....Drugs...with everything that's been going on with you? You aren't ungrateful either, you're probably the most humble and gracious person I've ever met."  Nika went to give her another hug, "I'm sorry they said all of that stuff to you, and were throwing shade. That's not even fair to you."  Nika was frowning, frustrated by all this news.
Tsaaq: "Right? I was like, bitch is you serious? I hate drugs. I'm the main bitch who talks about how I hate drugs." She scoffed, shaking her head. "Well thank you, but according to Leon I was this fuckin' monster all up until I started crying cause what the fuck else am I supposed to do? I wasn't gonna try him. I don't got a problem with him. So he feels all bad and talks about how I shoulda just came to him about my problems. In my head I'm like fuck outta here, you and your girl got a whole lot of fucking mouth and I don't like the shit people be saying about me already." She shook her head, fanning herself since she became hot from the frustration. "She left me five hundred dollars... I guess that's aiight." She muttered. "She just fucking bailed. It's like, I unno... They was throwing shade. Everybody does that shit to me cause they know I won't say no mean shit back." Freedom shook her head then sighed. "It's aiight though..." She trailed off.
Covet: Nika's facial expressions changed from angry to confused to offended as she talked about, Leon jumping on her ass, then backtracking, "Are you sure these two shouldn't be on medication or something, because I get the feeling they should be, and I mean that in the most concerned way possible." Nika looked over at her, "So she just bailed and left you money, to what buy you off as a friend?  That's not how friendship works. And it definitely doesn't include throwing shade. Regardless of how upset you are. That's completely unnaceptable, and you don't have to say it's alright when clearly it's not. I'm disappointed in Shay."
Tsaaq: Freedom took a deep breath before she slouched a bit as she turned to Nika. "I mean... You are a hundred percent right..." She trailed off. "Shay has always been dramatic as fuck. And I did hear Leon yelling at her after that... Saying Derek was scum, saying I was scum, we all deserved each other." Freedom pouted. "But I guess it don't mean shit. They obviously made up cause she in Chicago and that's where Leon's parents is from." She pouted. "I guess I won't be able to do shit until she get back. It'd be nice to talk about all the shit that happened instead of..." Freedom furrowed her eyebrows, making a pained expression. "Running away from your mother fuckin' problems?"

Covet: Nika shook her head, "Well I guess if she's in Chicago with him, she can't be here cheating on him. So there's that silver linning." Nika said softly  then looked at Freedom, "Some people don't like facing the facts that they're the ones that are messed up. It's easier to blame it on othe people. Not everyone has the maturity to deal with mistakes like you or I do. But I don't want you to fret yourself about this. You did everything you could to defend yourself when they attacked you." Nika said giving her hand a squeeze. "If anyone wants to talk crap and throw shade at you, I'm here to help block it and shut it down, And we can do it in a mature way without running all the way to Chicago to do it."
Tsaaq: She was still pouting but once Nika took her hand she started to smile. "Thank you Nika." Freedom said with a relieved smile. "I'm trying my best right now to be mad at myself." She said. "You being here for me is realy helpful though... So thank you so much." She said before looking to her phone again. "Oh lord." Freedom whispered. "Well I guess they didn't make up. She's following this mother fucker or some shit I just-" Freedom inhaled deeply again. "I told this bitch what she was doin was wrong then she ain't listen and now she's doing the most." She shook her head. "You know what? That's aiight. I need a break from them I think. This is cool with me."
Covet: "Of course, no problem at all. I don't want you to be mad at yourself. Yes things are frustrating, but this definitely isn't on you." Nika told her with a frienldy smile." I'm happy to help. You've been a good friend as well, so It makes it easy to do the same." She listed to her then rolled her eyes, "Good grief. She's gone serious stalker level hasn't she? I have to say I agree, a break from them both is probably for the best. Let them worry about their problems while you keep doing you here."
Tsaaq: "Of course! I wanna be for you, or any of my other friends. Cause I care." She told her. She nodded her head. "Right." Freedom said softly, she went to put her phone back in her jacket pocket then bit the inside of her cheek. "So... Yesterday I googled my symptoms and shit..." She began to say warily.
Covet: "Aww, You're so sweet, I care about you too. You're definitely good people." Nika said with a smile, then turned to look over at her. "Oh? I hear that is a good way to make you into a hypochondriach, but I don't blame you. I do the same thing,  What was google's verdict?"
Tsaaq: She laughed a little as she shook her head. "I know! I didn't wanna be that person who goes to webMD but..." Freedom muttered. "Aiight, the top three reasons was the flu, a common cold and uh, pregnancy." Freedom listened the reasons off her fingers, looking anxious and hesitant when she said the 'P' word.
Covet: "I definitely don't judge you, Concern and curiousity gets the better of everyone." She smiled softly then looked at her, watching her hesitate at Pregnancy. " Well, Have you had any other cold symptoms? And the flu, wouldn't that spread and other people would be having the symptoms too?  And you and Derek used protection right? Unless you're on birth control of course."
Tsaaq: "Well I don't got a lot of those other symptoms. That's the problem so unless I'm some kinda special case..." Freedom trailed off. "Or I was thinking, sometimes I don't wear a coat when I go out, so maybe it is a cold but... I'm not sneezing or coughing or nothing." She muttered. Freedom's eyes widened at the mention of using protection and even moreso when Nika suggested she was on birth control. "Uhhhh." She mumbled. "No to both of those things? But Derek pulled out each time!" Freedom scoffed before shaking her head, cause she couldn't even lie to herself, that sounded stupid as fuck. "Yesterday night I got scared and bought mad pregnancy tests."
Covet: She glanced over at her as she spoke, explaining further. " Yeah, but even if he pulled out... It's possible," she said trying not to show too much concern on her face, not wanting to freak Freedom out. "You did? Have you taken one yet? " Nika asked her.
Tsaaq: Freedom sighed. "You right... I remember that much from sex ED." Freedom looked over to Nika and looked embarrassed. She shook her head quickly. "Well... No!" Freedom said quickly with a frown. "I mean. I ain't pregnant so I thought, damn I just wasted all this money. But then I thought well..." She began to whispered. "Damn, there's no way to tell besides just taking them I guess. But I don't feel pregnant..." Freedom said quietly, trying to be optimistic.
Covet: "Yeah, it's either going to explain what's going on, or it's going to give you peace of mind that you're actually not." Nika bit her cheek, honestly worried for her friend. "I wish there was a way to just trust your instincts that you're not, or magic friend brain scanny powers that could reasure you, as dumb as that sounds."
Tsaaq: She took a deep breath as she got up from the couch. "You know what? Imma just do it and it'll be fine. Just to make sure." Freedom said. "This is good that you here cause if I was doing this by myself I'd probably be scared and not do it. I mean it ain't like the sims and the chimey noise goes off when a sim is pregnant and that's the closest thing I can think of to what you just described." She laughed.
Covet: Nika laughed when she made the sims reference, "Life really should just be more like the Sims, I'd like a fast forward button time to time. Or a pause button while I redecorate." She grinned then nodded her head. "It's okay, those two minutes can be torture, from what I hear. I'll happily wait it out with you. Now let's get you some peace of mind."

Tsaaq: "Right! That would be way better." She sighed. Freedom nodded her head, looking a little at ease as she moved to her bedroom and grabbed her bag from the drug store from the night before. "Can you time it for me?" She asked as she walked out of her room and went to stand in the hallway.
Covet: "Of course." Nika said getting her phone out of her bag so she could pull up a timer as she stood outside the bathroom, getting herself ready. She had a smile on her face, trying to be encouraging and uplifting about this, hoping it would resonate to her. "How many did you get?"
Tsaaq: She went to enter the bathroom, peeking out at Nika. "Ummm. Like four." Freedom said. "I spent mad money." She sighed, shaking her head. "The guy at the register was looking at me I felt so embarrassed." She told her before closing the door and going to read all the respective boxes.
Covet: " Okay, That's good though, because you can get different readings on them. I wish there was a non-embarassing way to pick up such things." Nika waited outside, then called out, "Let me know when I need to hit the start button." Nika took a deep breath, hoping for the best possible situation here.
Tsaaq: "Yeah I know right?" She sighed, shaking her head as she glanced in the mirror. "Okay wait wait wait." She called out, opening up all the boxes like this was some type of country fair activity or something. Freedom sat on the toilet after she pulled down her pants and panties, making faces as she peed on each of the four tests. "Aiight start now!" She said, switching between each test then placed them on the counter with a face cause ew pee. She decided to finish peeing while she was there then got up and washed her hands, doing her best to not look at the tests yet.
Covet: Nika hit the start button and watched her screen count down. "Two minutes and counting. You want to come out here and wait so you're not tempted to look at them?" She asked her, while leaning against the wall, anxiously waiting for the final results, but trying not to show it.
Tsaaq: She nodded her head then felt silly since she knew Nika couldn't see her. "Yeah, I'm coming." She said quickly, coming out the bathroom and closing the door behind her then leaned on it. "Thanks again for this Nika. I could never do this shit with Shay. She'd probably tell everybody somehow." She sighed.
Covet: "I completely understand. I promise not a word will spill from my mouth." She said holding out her pinky finger. " Only a minute left, then we can give a laugh of relief. I bet you'll feel ten times better after this." Nika said, still being all up beat for her.
Tsaaq: Freedom grinned as she bounced a little on her feet, wrapping her pinky around Nika's then nodding. "What can be done in a minute?" She muttered before raising her eyebrow. "I unno... I can do my eyeliner that fast in the morning when I'm late for class." Freedom shrugged and laughed.
Covet: "Oh...Um....I don't know...do you know the lyrics of a song, we could just sing the chorus or something?" She suggested then looked back down at her phone, "Thirty more seconds." Nika counted down, " You can do your eyeliner in a minute? I wish I could get it on the first try let alone in a minute." She said with a laugh.
Tsaaq: "Nah, cause if I start singing then I'm not gonna want to stop and it'll be ridic." Freedom shook her head while giggling. She clapped her hands together awkwardly as she kept leaning on the door. "I mean, only if I'm in a rush like I said. It's not like it's perfect though. It be looking kinda sloppy. At least to me." She shrugged. "I guess I could teach you though."
Covet: "Really? Yes, I watched your makeup ritual the other day when we went to the club. Not going to lie, I'm definitely jealous of your skills. You're make up is always on point. I still feel like a kid playing in my mom's stuff." She said with another light laugh, then looked at her phone, "five, four, three, two, one.... And the should be ready now." She said softly looking at Freedom, am I going in with  you to check them?" Nika offered her hand and took a deep breath.
Tsaaq: She started to grin again. "Of course bitch, everyone should be able to beat their face to perfection if they want to!" Freedom said with a laugh. "Thank you so much though, I definitely became like a make up guru of some type." She said before covering her mouth. She thought hard on the question then took Nika's hand. "Please come in with me." She sighed as she opened the bathroom door, warily stepping inside of the bathroom.

Covet: Nika laughed, and nodded her head. "Can I quote that from you sometime. I like how that was worded." She smiled, "I'm happy to learn from one of the best, then Guru Freedom." She nodded her head and walked in with her, trying to glance at the tests, but wanting Freedom to have the first look, because that's the polite thing to do.
Tsaaq: Freedom nodded her head. "Of course, quote me all you want." She laughed, waving her hand. "Awww stop that shit." Freedom nudged Nika then looked to the pregnancy tests, her face falling once she saw the results on each one of them. "No, no no no no!" Freedom covered her mouth as she gasped a little. She scurried to look at the boxes on the tests again to make sure, she was in awe.
Covet: Nika watched her reaction and winced biting her lip as she looked at them. "Uh oh....Wait what's the box say? Are all four of them.... Oh Freedom... I... I'm so sorry, I was really hoping they were going to be negative." Nika said looking over at her, unsure if she should give her a hug or a coathanger at this point.

Tsaaq: She couldn't even speake a moment, Nika's words reduced to murmurs as she felt her stomach drop. She shook her head as she threw the boxes in the garbage then went to sit at the edge of the tub, her lower lip quivering before she bursted into tears. "Oh my god." She tried to say through a whimper. "I'm so stupid... This is fucking real. This is happening and it's my fault." Freedom sobbed before she covered her face.
Covet: "Freedom.  Is there anything I can do?" she asked and sat down next to her, wrapping an arm around her, to comfort her. "It'll be okay....You've got options."
Tsaaq: "I unno, turn back time and tell me to take my ass home instead of fucking Derek?" She replied, her tears ruining whatever make up she was wearing. "Options?" Freedom repeated with a frown. "I can't have it or nothing, everyone will know, Derek will never talk to me again. He'd probably think I'm like Tina or some shit." She rambled.
Covet: "I'm sorry, my time machine needs a new flux capacitor." She said with a frown, hoping the movie reference would make it better, but c'mon Nika, that's not helpful at all. "You aren't Tina at all. Not even close. It's your body, so you have the choice to do with it as you wish. I don't know about Derek though. You know who I blame, I blame him. He jinxed himself and has made you suffer for it. I'm not supersticious. But he even made a joke about not having condoms and how he was going to wind up having a kid before he knew it. Stupid Derek." Nika said furrowing her brow.
Tsaaq: She laughed a little at Nika's reference but Freedom covered her face again because pregnancy was serious business. "You think he gonna not wanna talk to me now? Oh god." Freedom breathed hard, clasping her hands together. "What if my mama and pops find out? What if anybody finds out? Oh my goodness." She sighed. Freedom shook her head. "No he ain't jinx shit. This my own fault." She started to sob again. "You think... I could-" Freedom began to say before she shook her head. "It's still pretty early. I need to figure out what the fuck imma do."
Covet: Nika gave her a soft smile and rubbed her back, " I mean, he might, but I don't know. You know a different Derek. Even you've said so yourself.  I feel like it would be bad, to not tell him. Regardless of what you choose." She looked over at her when she mentioned how early it was still, " There's risks, but even today the whole process is pretty safe. If you go to the right places. But that's a pretty big choice, well either choice is a pretty big choice. Like life changing big. Sorry I'm not helping." She took a deep breath and looked at her. " Well, first things first. You need to find out how far along you are."
Tsaaq: Freedom let out a high pitched sigh of distress. "I can tell him when it's over." She muttered. "That's still telling him." She shrugged before she got up from the tub and began to pace. "I can't keep it. I can't carry it or nothing... I don't really have much of a choice." She whispered before she looked to Nika. "You helping, it's just a shitty situation." Freedom went to dab at her face with her fingers so her tears wouldn't streak her makeup anymore than it had. "Well... Derek and I started doing it like... Almost a month ago." Freedom said with a shrug.
Covet: "Yeah, that's true.  Of course after it's over." Nika said with a nod, then watched her. " Well if it's been a month then it's still more than early enough. You're at the most four weeks along, and you can terminate before twenty four months. I think?"
Tsaaq: She shook her head as she frowned. "I don't know... I guess I have some more shit to google." Freedom said. "Wait but shit... I need money to get that thing done don't I?" She asked, sniffling before she gasped. "Shay left me money!" Freedom said in realization. "I don't wanna go by myself though...  But maybe I should. I can't ask Derek or anything..." She said, looking extremely sad as she touched her stomach. "This would be so much easier if I knew for sure we was on good terms..." Freedom muttered. "This is his thing too... Right?" She asked. Freedom had become a barrell of doubts in a matter of seconds, one thought leading to another insecurity pertaining to her situation.

Covet: Nika nodded her head, looking at Freedom, "Yeah,  That's the real bummer about it. You could always talk to him beforehand? It might put you on better terms with him. Just don't approach it like Tina did. That was all blasted out and it got bad. You've got a smart head on your shoulders." Nika said trying to help her confidence. " If you do decide to take care of it, before you tell him and you want someone to go with you, I can go with. It would suck to do that alone"
Tsaaq: "I unno if I can do that..." Freedom replied softly. "I'm pretty he doesn't want a kid or nothing..." She continued to speak quietly, looking extremely sad. "I can't afford for any of this to get blasted. They gonna try to make me with the scarlet letter or some shit." Freedom said as she turned to Nika. "You'd go with me?" She asked before biting the inside of her cheek. "Thank you..." Freedom trailed off. "I have to set it up or something. As soon as I can I hope. Try to be discreet as fuck about it, act like it never happened..."
Covet: "I understand. Again, I support whatever decision you make. It's your body, your choice. None of this is going to blow up, I'll go with you and sweep away the tracks behind you. Nobody will know a thing, unless you say so." Nika said to her. "Also I appreciate the literary reference." She said giving her a friendly smile.
Tsaaq: Freedom whimpered a little as she went to hug Nika tightly starting to cry again mostly because pregnant and she didn't know how else to react at the moment. She was just glad she wasn't alone in figuring this out. "Well... I thought it was appropriate." She laughed before she pulled away, patting away her tears again. "Aiight, I can do this." She said with a sniffle, still looking hurt by the idea. "I'm sorry... It just feels like Leon was kinda right. I do feel like a mess. I'm so embarrassed." She sighed.
Covet: Nika hugged her back and let her sob it off. Sometimes that's all you can do. "Agreed. You've got this. Don't apologize. I can't even begin to imagine what you're feeling right now. But Don't let that twerp Leon get in your head. You might be a mess on the inside, but you're going to bounce back from this. That's more than he can say for his situation right now." Nika said with a smile.

Tsaaq: "You're right."Freedom nodded her head again then laughed. "That's true." She smirked then hurriedly went to dispose of her pregnancy tests.  "You wanna um... Do something else?" She asked in a whisper.

Covet: "Make sure to take that out before Shay comes home." Nika said, imagining her coming home to find those in the trashcan and for the cover to be blown. " Sure, Do you want to go find something to watch?  You tube videos, Netflix, Music?"
Tsaaq: She nodded her head quickly. "Oh yeah, of course." Freedom said a little nervously as she picked up the garbage bag from the can and went towards the kitchen. "I'll just put it in here and take it out with the garbage in the morning." She said. "Uhh... I like youtubing, you like youtubing?" She called out.
Covet: "Good thinking." Nika said with a smile, waking out of the bathroom with her, following behind her as asked about youtube. "Yeah, between random funny videos, and music videos, cats, and the different tutorials,  I could get lost on youtube." Nika said with a laugh.

Tsaaq: Freedom came from the kitchen and jogged into the living room as she grabbed the remote to the smart TV and went to Youtube and such. "I think Disney videos is a good place to start, that's usually what I be doing when I wander onto YT." She said. "Anything okay?" She asked as she looked at Nika.
Covet: "Yes, I agree. I am a-okay with starting off with those.  Yes, start with anything. I'll probably know it." Nika said with a laugh then checked her phone feeling it go off. She read the message and responded. "Derek's messaging me. He agrees that you don't deserve this kind of treatment from Shay and Leon both."

Tsaaq: "Aiight, cool." She smiled, starting up which ever Disney song that had been in her account history to start. Freedom pursed her lips a moment and shrugged. "I mean... I only know one time where people do shit like that and that's Catfish and it never ends good." She shook her head.

Tsaaq: Freedom shook her head. "That sound like something that would happen in a movie... So it's probably a bad idea." She laughed a moment then shrugged. "She asking if I'm still sick. I told her everything is aiight." Freedom sputtered her lip. "She apologized though so I guess it ain't that bad." She shrugged again, singing along as well cause nerds.
