  1. Brenton nods.
  2.
  3. "Hmm, Marina has fully admitted tous all before she is more of a tacition than a warrior, though a skilled fighter she is. I've seen her in combat and heard stories. Good job beating such a legend. It only gets harder from there though, I'm sure you can manage though"
  4.
  5. His smile stops though not becuase h is suddenly sad or anything. He listens to Vivica's next words. Sirus, hmm. IT was good to use him as a final boss as he was incrediably powerful. Brenton knew this, though from what he heard Zain had beaten his dad in the Skirmish.
  6.
  7. "Not just this one, the Earth and Lightning ones too. I've been...working on something, here let me show you"
  8.
  9. Brenton says. It was easier to show her then to answer with a rather hard to explain concept, hard to understand for anyone who didn't understand the concept of the lodestones power.
  10.
  11. He closes his eyes, feeling himself connect once more to the now easy to summon primal emotinos. Rage, joy, excitement, hope, stalwart determination, all pouring into him. Yet they do not flare, he had perfect control of them all. Such is the nature of the power he had been training since he discovered it.
  12.
  13. Brenton opens his eyes and they now glow red once more. He smiles at Vivica.
  14.
  15. "I call it Emotional Attunement. It is the perfect control of primal emotions associated to the elements. I used the lodestones to help me further attune myself to the emotions that fuel my elemental power, and this happened"
  16.
  17. He shrugs. Cycling between the different feelings he was starting to experience. Not just his own but vague whispers of that around him, strong enough for him to know what they were but not where they came from, there were too many people in the city. If he focused maybe but what right now he was just showcasing, his holy aura would wrap around his boy. Warmer than ever, showing her how it made his magic stronger.
  18.
  19. "I can..feel it"
  20.
  21. He mutters though it was vague to what he meant.
  22. (Brenton Blackmane-Shateiel)
  23. A nod of her head was given about Marina, but nothing more was spoken of the woman. "I'm prepared for the tougher battles." A devilish smirk was given after the comment before Brenton moved along about the lodestones now.
  24.
  25. He had connected to more than just the fire lodestone. With a tilt of her head, she watched curiously about what it was he wanted to show her.Emotional Attunement. Interesting, but she didn't truly understand what it was until explained.
  26.
  27. "So.. anger with fire, excitement with lightning and.. hope with earth, right? Thom told me a lot about emotions and their connections to magic. He always told me to feel revengeful as a way to help.. intensify my magic." She stated after he finished speaking completely.
  28.
  29. The young woman's eyes kept to him which settled to watch his holy aura and how much warmer and radiant it felt to be around.
  30.
  31. "How do I connect to the lodestones to increase my own power? I.. think it might be useful for Niall and I." A smile was given. "Oh! Speaking of Niall, gosh, Brenton, you should see him now!" Vivica giggled happily. The thought of her elemental and its growth from experience in battle and learning over time was incredible.
  32. (Vivica Loirdne)
  33. "No, hope is holy. Earth is determination and stalwart drive"
  34.
  35. He corrects her simply. As if to emphasize his point he allows the primal emotions to cycle through his body until he feels nothing but strong determination. Brenton raises his hand and the earth around them shifts and sways until an entire drome had formed just aronnd them. Much like Lucius had done during the dragon fight.
  36.
  37. Alone no average Earth magi could pull of such a feat without something like a lodestone. But Brenton had both the advantage of one and the power of much stronger emotions to cast with.
  38.
  39. He nods then.
  40.
  41. "It's actaully quite easy. Liara taught me how. You simply place your hand on the lodestone and fuel your mana into it, the lodestones then accepts the mana and pours its own into your nody further fueling your magic. It takes some practice and getting used to but any magi can pull it off"
  42.
  43. He smiles letting the dome fall back into its natural state, and allowing the various emotions to cycle again rather than focusing on one, though when he was using nothing but earth if Vivica had paid close attention she would have seen the red glow had turned to brown, his eyes looking much like the color of dirt, the red glow was back though the moment he stopped focusing on one emotion.
  44.
  45. What an odd yet somewhat cool side effect.
  46. (Brenton Blackmane-Shateiel)
  47. Vivica wasn't paying any attention to the glow of his eyes throughout the raising of an earthy dome like Lucius had created during the altercation with the dragon that waltzed into Cinderfall.
  48.
  49. Was it still even here? Or had it taken refugee witin Lucius' forge? Who knew. Kiha never logged back online for the decision!
  50.
  51. "Really? Just fueling your mana into it? I.. I wish I would have known that all of this time before." The young woman then placed her hand against her forehead. Facepalming!
  52.
  53. "Alright.. well.." Little words were spoken before her eyes close. "Let me show you something, Brenton. Niall." The young woman's voice calmed down immediately and lowered. Almost flat.
  54.
  55. The door within her mind that repeatedly appeared for summoning was there almost immediately. She was, by now, used to this, therefore it was easy to see the shape, glow, and details of the door to Uraheim, or just the spirit realm.
  56.
  57. "Land of water. And storms." Vivica reached her hand in with pictures of what her elemental appeared like. Much more grown up than when she first summoned the little creature. With a grip, Vivica pulled her arm back out.
  58.
  59. Within the physical realm just before her now, a cloud formed before her. Water dripped from the formation and lightning magic began to surge throughout its being until two glowing, blue orbs appeared to form its eyes.
  60.
  61. "Niall." And her eyes opened! The elemental floated before them at now four and a half feet with a body formed like a cloud, much less translucent and more opaque than when it had first been summoned. Cracks of lightning could be heard from its body. Arms made of lightning seemed to rest at its side.
  62.
  63. "Kaor. Undead. Champions. Or just anyone. Grown so much since we fought. Incredible. Just like Thom's journal said it would."
  64. (Vivica Loirdne)
  65. Brenton chuckles.
  66.
  67. "Oft times the easiest route solves the most complicated of problems"
  68.
  69.
  70. He states simply, mystic sagedly knowledge bullshit. As for the dragon, if it made a reapperance Brenton would do his best to force it out. That beast was not going to stay here and cause more probelms. People had returned to the city by now, but if that thing came back Kraus only knew the destruction it might end up causing.
  71.
  72. Taking a breath Brenton severs his connection to the primal side of things, his red eyes returning to their natual mixed hues. Dimpled smile returning as he watched Vivica summon the elemental.
  73.
  74. Awed at the sight of the growing being Brenton claps.
  75.
  76. "That's really great Vivica. You did a good job training her..him...whatever spirits genders are. I'm sure Niall will only continue to grow by your side"
  77.
  78. The whole summoning thing was still very interesting to him. He had thought about getting into it and had done the research since he first watched Vivica summon the tiny version of Niall. But he didn't think it was for him, calm as his mind was and good as an elemental partner in battle could be, he felt that there were other things he could keep doing to get stronger.
  79.
  80. Summoning was her thing, his was now being more and more in tune with himself and the world around him. Though as vague as the thousands of wisp of emotions were, the brief respite of not feeling anything but his own feelings was nice. He needed to learn how to make things less of a garbeld mess when he used his newfound power.
  81.
  82. (Brenton Blackmane-Shateiel)
  83. Raa'za Mikoto whispers something.
  84. From the look given on Brenton's face about the elemental, she could tell he was impressed. Her and Niall have come a long way since their first spar together, which, Niall didn't actually help but observed and learned.
  85.
  86. Recently, the young girl had been going over the different types of magic with the elemental for him to learn about. Occult magic, her basic understanding of holy magic, the different types of branches, the skills she knew within those sets, and much more.'
  87.
  88. "I think connecting ourselves to the lodestones could be dangerous. During battle, Niall is a great help and intensifies my magic to.. dangerous levels. I've seen the storms that brew becoming much more... powerful and I uh.. think it can be scary, then again.. this is my power."
  89.
  90. The young woman's silver hues look from Brenton and towards Niall as the elemental turns towards her. "This is what I'm capable of." A nod of her head was given in approval towards the elemental as it spun around in space with bits of lightning magic extending from its form.
  91.
  92. Over the course of time, their bond grew to become stronger. From the disobedient elemental it was to now aiding in her battle on command, it was just amazing to see the progress they had made together.
  93.
  94. "I know this elemental will continue to grow." She stated and looked from Niall and to Brenton. The girl steps forward before the fire lodestone now and places her hands along it. "So I just.. fuel my mana into this stone and it'll accept it then give its own to me? And.. I just do that with the lodestones with which I have the magic of?" She questions as she looks to Brenton.
  95.
  96. "Then I'll do it." And she begins. Niall stands at her side curiously, watching his summoner flow her mana within the stone.
  97. (Vivica Loirdne)
  98. "Even the weakest of magi can have the most destructive of power. The fact you know your own power and what limits it should have only shows that you can and should use the stone because you know how to control said power, scary or not"
  99.
  100. He shrugs simply. Brenton remembered when he was only three years old and first learned fire magic. He knew how scary it was to learn such a thing at such a young age. Over time he had learned to control and accept it but had grown scarily fast. Within a year he had learned holy magic and at only the age of four Brenton had mastered his chosen main magic, Holyfire
  101.
  102. So he knew what she meant by scary, but he also knew tht they could easily control said power. Like she said. This is what they were capable of, this and so much more if they did not allow silly things hold them back.
  103.
  104. "Yeah, and the more experinced you get at it the easier it becomes. I was able to summon forth a connection to the fire lodestone without even touching it"
  105. (Brenton Blackmane-Shateiel)
  106. "I see." Her hands remain place upon the stone while mana from her own circuits flow within the fire lodestone. Whatever connection she had made to the stone, it appeared to be established. There wasn't any sort of backlash or anything she could feel if there was a way it didn't accept ones mana.
  107.
  108. However she felt, whatever was going on, it was happening. Vivica's mana was accepted within the stone and throughout the minute she stood with her hands against the stone to wait, she could feel the power flow through her.
  109.
  110. A sudden warmth throughout her body was felt. Empowering it how it could be described. "I think I did it.. I feel much more warm.." Fire began to emit from around her body, flaring out and causing Niall to step away.
  111.
  112. The lodestone had been fueling her circuits to empower the fire within her. "Perfect." A glance towards Niall before she looked back to Brenton.
  113.
  114. "And.. I just.. do this with the other lodestones too? How.. how do I keep the connection when I'm away? I'm.. I'm going to need this soon.. for help.." She leans in to whisper but quickly pulls away. Vivica wanted to avoid telling him about the kaor who she was soon to cross paths with.
  115.
  116. And it would likely be something of a bloody altercation to come.
  117. (Vivica Loirdne)
  118. "You might not be able too since you're still getting used to it, and depending on how far away you are a connection might not even be possible sadly, but yes just do that for the others. I do warn you though that it might not be a good idea to connect with more than one or two at a time"
  119.
  120. Brenton shrugs. For help, he wanted to ask why but he wasn't going to push it. If she wanted to tell him she would. Vivica knew he never pried further into her life than she let him in. Into anyones really, he supposed he could try and read her to further his own skills but that would be a grand violation of what he thought he should use his budding empathetic powers for.
  121.
  122. "Oh right, I was...I gotta go patrol before my father takes my head. Sory to cut this short Vivica but I need to go, I really am glad to see you. Good luck with things, I will see you later. Love you sister"
  123.
  124. He would smile and then turn on his heels to go toward the keep to get his gear.
  125. (Brenton Blackmane-Shateiel)
  126. According to Brenton, the further away she is from the lodestones, her connection may not likely be established. Which meant she likely had to gain pieces of the lodestones in order to keep the power within her at all times, right? Unless it was only just the very stones that were located within Cinderfall.
  127.
  128. "I see. Maybe pieces of the Lodestones can help me when I'm out traveling. I can try to add them into an item I keep on me at all times. Meaning this crown. I still need to work on it with Raja and Marina, so I will be getting to that!" She stated with a smile before he went off to patrol.
  129.
  130. Vivica gave a wave of her hand and a nod of her head. "See you around, brother." Her smile increased as he turned around to go back on is patrols. "I'm glad to be home." She whispered to herself.
  131.
  132. Her heart sank within her stomach now. For a terrible reason as well. Her hands were removed from the lodestone as she looked to Niall with a concerned look. "We need more training, so we're going out now to get it."
  133. (Vivica Loirdne)
  134. ________________________________________________________________________
  135. Meanwhile Brenton went on his way to patrol the city, Vivica kept near the lodestones with Niall. She had ignored Achyles and his.. quite annoying comments in order to focus on her development with the elemental.
  136.
  137. "We're destined for greatness, Niall. You and me." A smile was given towards the elemental as she approaches the wind lodestone to place her hands upon it.
  138.
  139. "You do the same." Of course the elemental could do the same. It had mana circuits just like Vivica did, but not identical of course. The lightning formed, tendril like arms of the elemental were placed against the lodestone carefully and Vivica's own hands were placed on shortly after... though..
  140.
  141. When the young woman glances towards Niall, the elemental had removed its hands. A tilt of her head was given. Something wasn't right. Was it perhaps because the elemental was placing lightning formed arms upon the lodestone of wind? Did that matter any or did it just not want its power?
  142.
  143. A storm from the skies began to rumble in. Clouds gathers from around and darkened and covered the sun, dimming the light on Cinderfall. Each time Niall had been summoned, a storm began to brew shortly after. That was typical and normal nowadays and the more she summoned it, the more powerful the storms became.
  144.
  145. "Hm.. try to form your arms into.. wind. Or.. ya." That was suggested, but really, did it matter? It could perhaps help the elemental connect to the stone better, therefore Niall formed its arms into a mist like appearance that extended from its body to touch the stone.
  146.
  147. "Now, focus your mana into it. Let the stone empower you. You'll know when it does." Therefore, both beings did. Vivica flowed her mana within the stone, but this time it took several minutes for her to feel any sort of power from the stone in return. Winds began to gust around her and from the elemental, evident that it was empowered.
  148.
  149. "Perfect. We did it. We connected to it."
  150. (Vivica Loirdne)
  151. Vivica was sure she had connected to the lodestone itself, but as for Niall, the elemental's only reaction had been a simple twirl when she spoke. That was likely a confirmation to its connection to the lodestone.
  152.
  153. "Now, the water lodestone is in my mother's garden, we'll do that one last." It made her ponder for a moment. Eden suppressed mana, didn't it? Or, just like a Neries, it absorbed mana? She couldn't remember exactly.
  154.
  155. "We'll go to the lightning lodestone. That should be the easiest for the both of us." Given that the elemental's magically formed limbs were typically of lightning, this was probably going to be easier.
  156.
  157. "Lightning arms and hands." She stated as they approached and placed their hands among the stone. Lightning magic began to zap around Vivica's body as it did Niall's.
  158.
  159. "Just like Brenton said to do. Flow your mana into it and let it give you its power."
  160.
  161. Following those words, Vivica had done just that. This stone, however, had given its power to her fairly quickly along with the elemental. Static in the rose and anyone nearby could tell. The potency of her magic increased around her body along with the magic that conducted through Niall's own form.
  162.
  163. "Well done. We've connected to this one as well. Now to just connect ourselves to the water lodestone in Eden and we can continue to practice our connection to all of them in time." Her hands were removed along with the elemental's own and thus together they both headed to Eden.
  164. (Vivica Loirdne)
  165. Niall collected rain that fell from the sky before the pair made their way into the grove's entrance to wander in Eden.
  166.
  167. Vines, flora, and nature were all around. Portions of the wind lodestone stuck below the surface above and into Eden, fueling it. Somewhere within had been the water lodestone. That was evident given the clean and clear stream going throughout the gardens.
  168.
  169. Nature protected the young Loirdne along with Niall as she walked the path throughout the beautiful area to keep away others from her. Just like it had done for Qasthan when he came here alone, it did the same for Vivica.
  170.
  171. It had been some time before the pair came across the lodestone of water.
  172.
  173. "Here is it, Niall." She declared. "This time, form uh.. hands of water. Or.. maybe you could just use the mist from your body since it's just.. water too, right?" The young woman eyed the elemental's form for a moment before placing a hand to her chin.
  174.
  175. "No, you're capable for forming arms and hands of water." She stated. A zap of lightning flowed through the elemental's form before tendrils of water began to reach out and connect with the lodestone. Vivica's own hands too placed against the stone.
  176.
  177. "Just like before with the other two. You do the same with this one." Her mana began to flow, but she had done this multiple times now, she felt a bit exhausted. "Phew.."
  178.
  179. Water magic wrapped around the woman's arm and crept along the form of her body after several minutes of waiting for the connection to be linked along with Niall's. The pair again successfully connected, but it was obvious each were exhausted, especially due to the drainage of mana from Eden.
  180.
  181. "This one might always be harder.. we should go. I think that's enough for now. Go on home." And just like that, lightning burst from the elemental and Niall had disappeared, allowing Vivica to leave Eden by herself and surface from the grove.
  182. (Vivica Loirdne)
